Short instructional remark noting that i-gel insertion in pediatric patients uses the same techniques as adults, but lacked a supplied method to properly secure the device. A driver, Ed Peek, demonstrated a practical fix: using the adult strap from an adult recess pack to secure the 15 mm port with side straps, providing inward pressure to maintain the seal.

Insertion techniques for the pediatric patient are the same as an adult. However, we were never provided a way to properly secure it. That solution was actually provided to us by one of our drivers, Ed Peek, who showed us that just using the adult strap out of the adult recess pack, securing the 15 millimeter port with the side straps.
Provided a nice inward pressure that you needed to maintain that seal.
