Hi everyone. My name is Peter Rantevi. I get asked a lot regarding epinephrine administration for children under the age of 1 or infants. So I learned something from a volunteer firefighter about a year and a half ago and wanted to do a quick demonstration. So as you can see here you have your epi. Hop the cap, pop the cap.
Go ahead and just get those engaged so that the needle is now engaged through the rubber stopper. Then take this and put it to the side. All you're left is with is just your epi prefill.
Take a 1cc syringe. Remember these are for children or infants under the age of one who will require less than 1cc of EPI 1 to 10,000. Now that you have this, you put it right up to here. You simply push down and you can see you filled it up. You give your dose.
Time for another dose.
