Procrastination, playing small, imposter syndrome. If you've encountered any of these three things, then today's video is for you. Hi, my name is Jesse Ecker. And those three things I believe happen when we lack some confidence in what we're doing. Whenever I felt like I'm playing small or I am procrastinating, or when I'm having imposter syndrome, even making these videos, sending emails out, doing Facebook lives, whatever I'm doing, it all comes down to feeling like I'm lack of confidence, like, not as good as how I should be or possibly how I could be compared to my goals. So today's video is to share with you if you feel like maybe you're lacking some confidence in some areas and you want to gain some confidence and you want to do it quickly. I'm going to share three principles that I continue to use to bring myself back into a confident mode, get me moving forward so I'm not thinking as much and I'm doing way more. All right, Taking action. So principle number one is set yourself up to win. Listen, when we have these big goals and aspirations, like, they're huge and they're awesome and they're something you should definitely have, but when you feel like you're not making progress towards them or you're not winning, like making consistent momentum or consistent progress to it, then we start to doubt ourselves. We start to wonder if we ever are going to make it. So principle number one of setting yourself up to win means win more often. Because what I believe is confidence comes from a mixture of winning and a mixture of experience. So if you can take one part of the matrix, winning, and you can win more often, guess what's going to happen. You're going to get more confidence. You're going to feel better about what you're doing. You're not going to beat yourself up as much. So what that means is instead of just thinking so big of, like, what do I need to do? You think smaller. Think about, what's the next task I need to do, what's the next action I need to do? What's something easy that I need to do? Instead of like going to the gym seven days in a row, go to the gym tomorrow for 15 minutes, then maybe the next day, 20 minutes. So what you want to do is you want to consistently set yourself up to win, and you do that by proactively planning. You proactively plan your small incremental steps that are going to help get you into momentum to move forward so that you get more confidence by winning more often. And if you're winning more often and you're taking small actions, guess what else you're doing. You're getting more experience, which is the other side of the matrix. So you want to win more often, which means that you got to set yourself up to win. It's your rules, right? You are the referee of your own game. You're the rule maker. You. No one says that you have to take these massive actions every single day. Incremental actions win the game. So that's principle number one. Principle number two is you got to connect back to your purpose. You got to get out of this head, your fear based mind, your survival mechanism. Listen, when we are about to do something and we are nervous or we're fear based, or we have this procrastination or playing small, or have imposter syndrome, it's because we're thinking about ourselves. We're thinking about ourselves instead of the purpose of why we're doing something. Most of us do things because we're entrepreneurs. We do it to solve problems for other people. So when you get out of your head and realize you're there to help other people and you think about who you are helping the customers you are serving and how you're actually doing them a disservice by not stepping up and handling what you do to solve their problems for them, them remember they have the problem, you're solving it for them, you're doing them a great service and that's why they're paying you to do it. So by you playing smaller and not doing what you need to do, by you stopping yourself from what you need to do and not taking the consistent actions, guess what you're doing, you're not serving them. And so you're thinking about yourself and not your customers, which I know you don't want to do. So one of the best ways is just take a few seconds and connect back to your purpose. Connect back to why you're in business in first place or why you're doing what you're doing in the first place, why you're showing up today in the first place. If you can connect to this purpose, you're going to have some confidence. And the third thing here, the third thing is own it. Own where you're at, focus on where you are right now. Focus on exactly you know where you're at. Own where you're at. Because what's the most important thing is that you don't fake it till you make it where you're saying, like, I'm not like achieving this financial freedom goal of I'm not here, so that means that I can't teach anything. No, that's not true. You just need to own where you're at right now. You need to focus where you're at right now and own it. Be open to where you're at and know that someone you're one step ahead of someone else and someone would gladly learn from you because you're one step ahead of them. So just own where you're at and just be open to that. And those are the three principles that I consistently use on an ongoing basis. Hopefully they're helpful for you. Let me know which principle speaks to you. One, set yourself up to win two. Understand, you know and connect your purpose and three own where you're at. Own it again. My name is Jesse Ecker.
