Million Dollar Business Ideas: Millionaire Mindset in Times of Crisis

T. Harv Eker (with another speaker) discusses how a prolonged crisis will create new habits and permanent shifts, and he frames those shifts as business opportunities. Central suggestions: delivery of virtually any product will boom (apps that aggregate drivers/delivery requests, niche deliveries including cannabis, stylish masks/gloves, touchless doors); home-focused markets will grow (home fitness equipment and online training, distance learning and tutoring, home-office packages and supplies); and remote work platforms and services will expand (video conferencing platforms and related peripheries). He repeatedly urges listeners to identify daily problems people now face, create or supply solutions, partner to build prototypes, and position themselves as distributors/marketers for new home- and delivery-centered norms.

So you look for problems. Are there some problems now? How is this going to not just change our reality now, but what are things that are going to be the new norm in the future? Because I want to alert you to something. I pray this doesn't happen. I pray this virus is done within a few weeks. In most parts of the world there's a leveling off and we start to go back to normal and never comes back. Whatever. What if it doesn't? What if it's not a couple of weeks? What if it's a couple of months? What if it's a few months? What if in the summer it dies down because of temperatures and in the fall and winter comes back up again? What if we have to do the same things we're doing now for several winters, for several years. Everything that people are getting used to. Remember, people are creatures of what? Creatures of habit. So whatever habit they get into now.
A lot of people, not everyone, a lot of people are going to like.
That habit and they're going to start doing that. So everything that's happening right now, you can pretty well bet it's going to continue to happen. Maybe not to the same extent, but to an extent and then grow from there. People will want delivery of everything because they're getting used to it. What are problems right now? People are going to, we're talking in America right now of putting of everyone wearing masks. If you are in Asia or you go to Asia or you see pictures.
Of Asia, in Asia people wear masks like normal, don't they? You go to an Asian country, 80% of the people are wearing masks.
Here's a question. How about stylish masks?
What about designer masks? What about designer gloves?
Understand? So just be thinking in these terms, utilize what is happening and create another little niche to go with it. We used to never get food delivery, you know, maybe Chinese food once in a while or we have a restaurant nearby, Leucadia Pizza that we order, you know, every few weeks, et cetera. Not a lot of food delivery for us. My son and daughter in law, they're literally food delivery mavens. They, they probably get food delivered three, four a week, lunch and dinners. And they want an acai bowl. It's postmates acai bowls.
And that's what how they live.
It's not how I live. It is now we've had three or four deliveries now.
It's great. I'm going, shit, why didn't I do this before?
It's going to take off. It's going to become the norm. For people, instead of cooking or going shopping a lot, it's like twice a week, we order in. These are business opportunities for you. Delivery of anything is going to boom. Yes or yes. So what can you deliver and what will you deliver? What about delivery apps? So what do you want delivered? Here's an app here about this. I'm just going to give you one. I think about looking for problems and then opportunity on their side. So let me give you a thought here. What about a delivery app? Not just a food app, but anything Delivery. I'm a driver. I want something delivery. Shop this, whatever. Hardware stuff, grocery stuff, food stuff, landscaping stuff, drugstore stuff, anything, anything. Anything you get to, you normally go out to buy, you want to get it delivered. And if you just have the app that puts, for example, drivers and delivery requests on one spot, boom. Why can't you do that? You understand that cannabis. I'm not telling you to be in the cannabis business. It's a challenging business. But I can tell you that I know people that are. The stores can't keep it in stock right now. They cannot keep it in stock. So what does that mean? It means people are going to get used to delivery, so they'll continue delivering. People are getting used to smoking or edibles or whatever it is to stay in a mood or to help their pain or whatever it is that's not going to go away. Now you have millions of people who weren't doing that much before who are doing that now. They're going to continue to do it. There's nothing that you touch right now. Nobody wants to touch a door. No one wants to touch an elevator button. Nobody wants to touch a handle. Nobody wants to touch anything. So is it little dispensary of whatever it allows you to put it over door, or is it automatic doors? Is it doors that you have eye recognition? What is it? You just have to have the idea and then write partner. Write it down. Partner with someone who is in that business. Partner with people. Find someone to create a prototype for you or with you or get involved, et cetera. You can partner with people. Yeah, but they're big. Be the distributor, be the marketer, be the person who gets all that stuff into Walmart or Whole Foods or whatever. All right? Form that relationship. Whatever you got going, you can do that. What are you doing at home right now? We said, let's get in the best shape of our life. Do you know how I started? You know how I made my first millions? Right? I opened the world's first chain of retail Fitness stores, Fitness stores selling equipment for the home. I guarantee that's going to boom. Again. People will not go to gyms nearly as much no matter what happens, because they're now. So yes, there'll be online training, etc. But home equipment, whether it's bands or this or a new thing that you create, that is equipment that you can use in the home for specific exercises, et cetera, et cetera, all home fitness equipment, distance learning, everything that was taught in school or at a seminar or at the workplace or anywhere will now must now be at least available online at home. If people are going to learn from home, people are going to need to be tutored from home. Whatever you can do. If you know online training is going to be the way. There's a million peripheries around it and how do you find them?
You look for the problems that you have.
Everything to do with. Working from home is going to boom. Why? Because guess what just happened? Like 50%, all the businesses in the world just had to evacuate their offices and everyone's working from home. And it's not perfect, but all of these hundreds of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people who never worked from home before and now are forced to work from home. Two things. Number one, they're going to say, well, I figured it out, I can do this and I can meet up with the other people in my group and on my team and my bosses and do my our meetings by zoom or go to meetings or Skype or this. So they're going to go, why the.
Hell would I want to go through this commute every day if I can do this from home?
I want to work from home. I'm going to look for companies and jobs where I can work from home. Boom. Number two, the businesses, the businesses are going to say, hold on, we did 90% efficiency or 90% efficiency sending everyone home.
Why would I pay a million dollars a year for this stupid office when I don't have to?
I'm going to say this right now. Corporations are going to get smart. They're going to get smart and they're going to say, I don't want to. We don't need these offices anymore. Okay, don't need them.
Businesses are going to recognize that they don't need to pay the crazy ass rents anymore. You're going to recognize that they actually.
Like working from home.
They don't need. And they may not even be able.
To go back to work.
Who knows if this virus or another virus comes back again, we're not going back to work.
Here's an idea for you. Be in the home office business, do you have to manufacture anything?
No.
What does that mean? Come to my site and buy everything you need for your home office. It's a checklist and you choose. Choose your desk. Choose your color, choose legs. Okay, now desk over. Choose your printer. Choose your possibly computer. You can provide a package of a home office to people or anything that goes in it. How many people are now going to say, I can't even go into an office?
There's no office to go into.
So, you know, business opportunities, work from home.
Well, there's a million of those.
Any opportunity you can give people or teach people or show people or provide for people where they can work from home is a booming opportunity right now. You know, we've been looking at buying Zoom stock. Probably should have bought it a little while ago, but it'll probably do well. Say, no, no, no, it's had its day because it went up like 60% already. This is just the beginning. Are you kidding me? Whether it's Zoom or the next one, or the next one has got the next software, all this stuff, the platforms are going to go flying, okay?
It doesn't have.
Don't try to make your money in one day. Try to make it in two or three or five years worth. You need to take this time to set yourself up for the future, my friend. Right now, it just jazzes me to talk about turning problems into opportunities. A problem is an opportunity when you solve it and you solve it for other people, right? All you have to do, just think, what problems are people having? What are they doing? Now I'm going to get into. Get involved in that business or supply that business with what I've already got or the situation.
Sam.
