The #1 Indicator Of Success

One of the biggest pieces of advice I gave my kids was when they were in college, university, and what I said was simply this. If you can't succeed here, you won't succeed there. Let me say that again. If you can't succeed here, you won't succeed there. And why is that? Because there's a saying that we use that says this. How you do anything is how you do everything. What that means is that if you cannot create a successful situation, in this case where the kids was in college or in school, and why weren't you able to do that? If you were unsuccessful there, There were certain habits and traits and methodologies and ways of thinking that you had that created that unsuccessful. If you can create that success, there are certain habits and traits and methodologies and ways of thinking that create that success. And that's the key thing, that if you don't have those things and then what do you think? You think you're going to leave college at the end of three or four years and you're going to be unsuccessful here, and you're going to go out in the world and you're going to be really successful? No, you won't. Because how you do anything is how you do everything. If you couldn't be a success here, you probably won't be a success there. So they both listened very, very well. They both understood that and resonated with them. They both buckled down, became extremely successful, got good grades. That's the only game there in school. And you know what they took and when they left school, use those same characteristics, mindset, beliefs, strategies, and became very successful as soon as they got out of school.
