Short transcript of a conversation (T. Harv Eker and another speaker) arguing that teaching is the fastest path to wealth because it positions you as an expert; teaching promotes credibility and leads audiences to buy. Harv Eker provides an anecdote: despite having millions in results, people rarely ask about formal degrees — they care about solutions to their problems.
Teaching is the fastest way to wealth. Why is it the fastest way to wealth? Because when you are a teacher, you are presumed to be the what? The expert. And do people. What do people want to deal with? Experts or people who don't know what they're doing? They all want to deal with an expert, right? So one of the fastest way to promote whatever you've got is to teach about something around it. Then people in your audience will go, wow, they really know what they're doing. I would like to buy what they have.
That's how it works. I can't make it any simpler than that. Most people, 99.9% of the people who have the problem you're talking about that you're going to have solved, don't give a flying F about your flying F degree. Let me say this to you right now. Listen closely. Listen everybody. I teach about money and wealth and business. Do you know how often I have been asked? I have little over two and a half million students. You know how many of them have asked me if I have a business degree? Like in my whole life of seminars, two people have ever asked me. Just in walking beside me, I just wondering, do you have a business degree? I went, no, I'll keep on walking. No, here's my degree, everybody, here's my degree. F cking millions of dollars. That's my degree. You want me to put my millions of dollars on the wall? They don't care about you. They care about them.
They care about their problem. Can you help me? I'm in.
