The Art Of Setting Ambitious Goals — T. Harv Eker & Mary Morrissey

A conversational coaching session between T. Harv Eker and Mary Morrissey about identifying and achieving life goals. Hosts discuss two common student types—those who know what they want but not how to achieve it, and those who know only that they want more—and ask what next steps these people should take.
This is T. Harveker. I am with Mary Morrissey, and I have a question for you, Mary. Some of our students know exactly what they want in their life. They want to earn more money, want to have better love life. They maybe even want to start a dream business. The problem I find that stops a lot of people, other than themselves, of course, which is their mind mostly, is how to do it. And then other students, well, they don't know what they want.
They.
They just want more out of life. If you fall under these two categories, what's the next best step one can take?
Well, two things. One is the person who knows what they want but doesn't know how to get there. One of the great things you offer, and I offer as well, we both teach systems that unlock potential and work with the system of how transformation occurs. Not just in the way you discovered it or I discovered it, but actually you and I both discovered how the infinite or how the universe brings transformation. You know, if you think about our species, the human species in General, we're about 150,000 years old as an upright frontal cortex brain hardware system being that we can actually reflect on ourselves. But up until just about 100 years ago, if you or I wanted light after dark, we had to light a fire and an oil lamp. Not because the law that would move molecules along, a system that produced illumination wherever we wanted. It wasn't available. We didn't have the awareness of that law. One of the great things about the last 50 years, of course, is an increase in awareness about how real transformation occurs in human systems. Our ability to transform our money and transform our relationships and transform what we're doing with our time and talent, the work we do in the world, the amount of satisfaction, fulfillment, money and freedom that we're able to attain and experience and enjoy. But it doesn't just drop in on us. And there is an art and a science to transformation. The art is in the visioning and the science is in the vibration. That's why, as you studied successful people and you began to notice that they were thinking certain kinds of thoughts and having certain kinds of conversations and making a particular kind of choice that's reflective of a vibration they live from. And it's generative rather than contractive. So if you don't know what you would love, then start with what you know for sure. Because if you think about three years from now, one thing you're going to know for sure is that you want great health. It's the one portion of goal setting or dream building that every single one of us wants great health. And since you're going to have relationships anyway, and you're probably in some relationships, what would you want in those relationships? And since you're doing some work, what would you love with the work that you're doing? Or would you like to do some new work? And in fact, since you are going to use a commodity called money, do you love the amount of money you're working from now, or would you love a different amount of money? And you just start from where you are and take what you know for sure and start that as your first set of goals. But once you have goals now, you have the vibration. You have an idea, you have the vision of that goal, and you have a sense of, if I were living this life, what it would feel like. You still need a plan. You need a system to take you from the set of results you've got right now to the set of results that you want, and a system that works. And that's one of the things that you have decoded and I have decoded, and I'm grateful. That's what we give our clients.
