Fleet Maull explores Einstein's question about whether the universe is benevolent. Happy people answer yes not because life is easy, but because they see difficulties as lessons that support growth. The practice is to treat life as for you, not against you, and act where you feel called to help.

One of my very favorite quotes of Einstein is, Einstein said, the most important question we can ask ourselves is this a benevolent universe. And people who are happy will always say yes. Now, that doesn't mean that everything is going their way. What it means is they believe that life is here in an evolutionary way to help support us all in our greater awakening. And so rather than looking at how terrible this is in my life, look at what's the gift in this, what's the lesson in this? What's in this for me? Life is for me, not against me. And I would say that that is an attitude to take for the greater world. I don't know why there is the war that we have. But what I know is I'm going to live the best life I can live, and I'm going to act where I most feel inspired to act to make the world a better.
