The inspiration for writing the book was I was working, training people with other training organizations in psychedelic therapy. You know, everybody's talking about preparation, trip, sitting and integration and the importance of all of those things, which is very important. But I was feeling like it's a nuanced thing to provide really great psychedelic therapy. It's not linear at all. It's very qualitative, not quantitative. And it felt like there was a lot of potential error that could happen where things could go wrong with such an open ended, nebulous way of training people. And so I really wanted to give people techniques and tools about what to do when that could be helpful as a template to develop a treatment protocol for someone going through a psychedelic therapy protocol.
