This short transcript excerpt captures Jim Kwik asserting that self-limiting thoughts and behaviors are learned patterns (examples: procrastination, self-doubt, "playing small") that can be unlearned and relearned. He emphasizes separating behavior (an event) from identity, arguing that failing does not make one a failure and that creating space between behavior and identity allows new choices and actions.

A choice and.
The moment you separate the two you.
Create space to choose differently.
You know I just really do believe self limiting behaviors and thoughts they don't define you they remind you that you are ready for.
