Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to another optimize plus one. After watching the absolutely wonderful documentary on Mr. Rogers called Won't yout Be My Neighbor, I got a few books by Fred Rogers. Well, technically, I didn't think to get one of his books until one of our optimizers. Thank you. Stefana recommended that I check them out. I literally read two of his books over the weekend. One from COVID to cover on a Saturday morning before the family woke up and I snuggled into bed with them. Yes, I got up very early and yes, they slept in. And yes, it was a quick read. And it's quite astonishing to me how simply reading books packed with the wisdom and spirit of Fred Rogers made me a better man. More precisely, a better and more kind, loving and present father and husband. His warmth and pure love is so palpable that it's impossible to not have your own consciousness elevated. At least that was the case for me. Now we have notes on you Are Special and the world according to Mr. Rogers. And I imagine we'll chat more about some of his wisdom in our plus one series. But for today, I want to focus on one particular gem from youm are special. Mr. Rogers tells us, I quote, when I was a child and would see scary things on the news, my mother would say to me, look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping. First, what an awesome mom, huh? And second, when you see scary things today, look for the helpers. And finally, let's be the helpers. That's today's plus one. How can you help? What's one super small thing you can do for your family today? And how about one little thing you can do for your community or colleagues today?
