Let's go, hero. Today, we're going to talk about aura. We're going to talk about a heroic target. We're going to talk about the fact that one of my targets I hit every single day is to begin the day with a smile. And as I did that this morning, I thought of a conversation I had. Where is that? Begin the day with a smile. Boom. Hit how many times I hit the target. I'll re hit it 280 times. Every single day since we launched the app, I have begun my day with a smile. This is a BJ Fogg idea. Start your day with a win, a little micro celebration. Then I make my bed. Then I appreciate life, and then I get on with my day. Now, this morning, as I was doing that, I thought of the fact that I didn't used to start every day with a smile. And the other day in my coaching session with Phil Stutz, he's like, I watched this video of you, and it was just amazing. It was you on a black backdrop and whatever. And I'm like, black backdrop? I haven't done a class on a black backdrop in forever. But he really loved it. So we tried to figure out what the class was, and it wound up being conquering depression 101, which we referenced at the end of a recent plus one. And so this morning, I was thinking about the fact that, you know, I didn't used to wake up 101 masterclass. Today we're going to talk about a really important subject. Conquering depression one. Conquering depression 101. I didn't used to wake up every morning feeling great. And I've gotten a lot of really positive feedback from people over the years that me sharing my own struggles with my anxiety. We've got a conquering anxiety side of things, too. I used to be scared of everything in life, right? So conquering anxiety 101. We've got conquering depression 101. I talk about the fact that, you know, my dad was an alcoholic who struggled with life, and his dad was. Was an alcoholic who ended his own life. So, as I say in that class, I kind of lost the genetic and the environmental lottery there. I know what it feels like to be in the depths of despair, and I also know what it feels like to systematically craft a life of deep meaning through which I can't just. I've mitigated the highs and lows. I'm human. I have highs. I have lows. You do. We all do. There are no perfect human beings, but my highs are higher. And My lows are higher because I'm hitting these targets all day, every day. It's really hard to have a bad day when you know what you do when you're at your best and you do it consistently. Anyway, that's what I thought of this morning as I woke up beginning my day with a smile and wanted to share that conquering depression 101 class with you. If you are currently struggling with or have struggled with anxiety or depression or perfectionism or procrastination or digital addiction for that matter, we've got this conquering series you may enjoy. We also have Conquering Cancer, which is a two part series I just recently shared with a dear friend of mine whose partner is going through challenges right now. So you may find all of this interesting. That's in the theory part of the app. Check it out. Let's go to Aura. Aura, easy does it. I'm all about training my recovery, but I'm feeling pretty, pretty saucy today. Aura. I got dinged because my resting heart rate dropped late last night. So the recovery index is a huge thing for auras, you know, readiness score. So mine dropped late as you can see, in part because I worked very hard yesterday and later than normal and I ate a little bit later than normal, which will always drive that. And I also played with my kids till the end. So one of my targets at night is to play with my kids, right? So time with the kids. Kids spell love T, I, M, E. So I want to transition. I actually was late for that last night, but I had the target. I'll hit it better tonight. And I play with the kids and I read with the kids. So yesterday we, we played a game called Ghost where I chase my two kids, 5 and 10. I catch them in a sheet and then I got to eat them. I got to catch both of them. I'm getting a workout chasing my daughter last night. She's fast. Five years old. She's already done three 5Ks and a Spartan race. The adult race. She's fast. Sleep was good last night. Very good. Not quite as good as what Aura thinks. I was up a little bit more there in the middle, but I slept well. I'm feeling zesty, folks. That's the Aura pass there. Looking at the app, they got a lot of positive feedback on this+1 today. Be part of the solution versus part of the problem. This is a Michael Singer idea. Love Michael Singer. Check out our notes on living untethered. He is just one of my new favorite teachers. Big ideas from that great book distilled into a philosopher's note. But his basic idea is, look, if you can't get your life together, don't talk about what's going on in the world. Take care of yourself first. If you can't even serve what is put in front of you, how are you going to change the world? You got to be the change. Start with you. You have to live a life that if everyone lived it, he tells us, there would be peace. If you can't do that, you're part of the problem, not part of the solution. There you go. Quick little let's go, hero. Got a big meeting with the team in a few minutes. Excited? We're launching a heroic mastery program. I'll give you more details soon. Make today an awesome day. See you.
