Good morning, hero. Inside Quiet Voice. It's Bry. It's 4:40am Families asleep. All right. Oura ring airplane mode two. Syncing. Let's go show we've got a new name. It's the let's go show. Screen recording. Heroic aura. Sho. Let's go. All right. Out. Hi, Brian. Hi, Heroic. We will commit to our daily targets today. We've got a plus one that's interesting. We've got some other stuff we'll look at. Let's get to work. All right, today's the day. Now we have a one tap feature where you can. With one tap. I am not going to do that. Commit to being your best self in your energy, work and love. And what we will do is we will recommit you or you will recommit yourself to living in integrity with your identities, your virtues and the targets that you set for the prior day. That's interesting. I've never actually looked at this. 36 in depth. 36 targets I had yesterday for athlete, 15 for CEO and 34 for joyful. Playmate. Awesome. Playmate. Soulmate. Playmate too. Let's go. It's early, folks. Anyway, you can one tap commit and do that. You know what? I'll do that for you today. Let's do. All right. Boom. There we go. I don't like doing that because I like to bring to my mind exactly who I'm committed to being every single day. So when I tap, tap, tap. Right. Kind of. Oops. If you tap it now, it goes into it. When I'm tapping those commitments, I'm setting an intention for the day and it makes it much more likely that my attention is going to follow. So the way I've been describing it lately is, you know when you want to buy a new car, all of a sudden you start seeing that car on the road everywhere. Well, it's the same thing with anything in life. You program your reticular activating system to filter what comes into your life. And what better way to do that than by deciding what is important to you? And then your subconscious mind, which researchers say is like a NASA computer compared to your conscious mind, it was more like a post it note. Your subconscious mind is constantly looking for ways for you to live in integrity with your highest values. Anyway, I've already hit that target. I was in bed, as we will see, for over nine hours. All right. Awesome. Go me, I went to bed right about 7, 7:15 after reading to the kids. Hanging out with the kids. Yes. That's early. Yes, that's almost two hours after the sunset. Slept with tape. Sleep in the Citadel again. That's a stoic idea. Here's the note from which I got that, by the way. Let's just do a quick search. So we've got all the different stoicism books, right? Plus ones, we've got a Stoicism 101 class. Donald Robertson is going to be joining us for a fun thing we're doing soon. The Heroic Mastery. Coming soon. There's the Inner Citadel. Pierre Hadot, brilliant stoic thinker, classic philosopher and historian of ancient philosophy, wrote this great book on Marcus Aurelius called the Inner Citadel. And the idea is you need to have control over your mind like a citadel. Have a sentinel who is not allowing anything into your mind. That's how I sleep. Boom. Nope. Not thinking unless I decide to. Inner Citadel. All right, I recommit right now to my sacred vow with you. Creating a world in which 51% of humanity is flourishing. By 2051, getting a million people to a Soul force score of 101. I recorded a long form kind of behind the iPhone video on how I'm setting goals for 2023. We're going to release that today. Really excited about it. And of course we have Greatest year ever part two, I think we released yesterday. Part one, Part two. Basically a two hour class on that. I'll skip going to that right now. All right, what else we got? I will recommit to being with my wife right now with you. Boom. 51 anniversary. Let's go. Oh, we're doing the let's go show. Let's go show. Boom. Alright, cool. The plus one today is interesting. The average American touches their phone 26, 17 times. Did you know that? Yep. All right. We talk about how new technology is and then on that point, I'm trying to create a new trigger, a new cue, a new prompt. Rather than your phone being a cue for you to do things that just aren't great, we're trying to help you make your phone a vehicle to be your best self. Which is why this is my home screen. You know, I'm looking at what I'm committed to. And then I've got simple things and I've got the, the app there. But anyway, you can check out the one on that. And then we've got a bunch of great content on that too. Let me take a quick look here. We've got a whole series of plus ones and then philosopher's notes and 101s on conquering your digital addiction. This is the class I taught. So conquering Digital Addiction 101. And then Cal Newport joined us. What's up, Cal? For a class on his book, Digital Minimalism, we got the old Optimize. Check that out. Optimize. I'm Cal Newport. Hey, Cal Newport. Welcome to Digital Minimalism 101. Good to see you, dude. The goal, Cal is so good. So check out digital minimalism 101. Cal is so good. Brilliant human being. Here's the note. Here are the notes on his great book, Digital Minimalism. Anyway, we want to get a really strong relationship with our technology, use it mindfully, etc. Let me pick a virtue for today. You know what I'm all about? Inspiring you to have hope for 2023. Let's make it the greatest year of our lives. Believe with all your heart that you will do what you're made to do. Period. Thank you. Orson Sweat Martin. Begs the question, what were you made to do, hero? We got to get clarity. We got to unplug from all the nonsense and get clarity. Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. It is the only thing that ever has a men. All right, all in. Let's go. How we doing, Aura? Again, I worked hard. It's been an awesome week. Just hustling, trying to support you. Where are we at? 88. 96 sleep score. Geez. Check me out. All right, I'll take that. Let me see here. Get this thing into airplane mode. Let's look at some details. Airplane mode. Excuse me. All right. Looks like you've gotten a nice amount of exercise. Thanks, Aura. 96 leap score. I'm very curious about that. What's ghost? Right there. Okay. I was efficient. All right. 52% quality again. That's a lot of room and a lot of deep. I will take that. I was pretty much out. Yep, I accepted. All right, cool. As we discuss each time heart rate variability. Cool. Floating around 40 asterisks used to be higher. I work hard now. 49. Resting heart rate fine. We got into the 40s. Sleep balance good. Previous day activity. I hacked that. Took my ring off yesterday. Still had decent amount of activity. I took it off after midway through my workout. All right, cool. Perfect. That was yesterday. So cool today. Didn't it just say I was 88? That's weird. All right, I'm 88 on the home screen. There we go. I'm 88 there, too. All right, I'm looking at the recovery index. Sleep. Sleep balance. Cool. All right, perfect. We already looked at this. REM deep. Cool. All right. I'm thinking of what I can do to improve, but I feel pretty good. I'm working hard. Every time I look at my aura, I'm thinking, okay, what did I do well yesterday that I want to keep on doing? What do I need to improve, etc. Right now, frankly, I'm working hard. As I've said, I'll downshift a little bit. Oh, before I forget, over the weekend, before I forget, we have a New Year's Day party, 1:01pm Central Time. 1:01pm as you probably guessed, that is related to the Soul 4 score. We want to get to 1:01, but 1:01pm Central Time. New Year's Day. We'll put a link in the show notes. Join us. I'm going to be hosting a little party. We'll do a little meditation, commit to being our best selves, and go through some big ideas from Greatest Year Ever and basically connect, commit and enjoy one another's company. New Year's Day, 1:01pm Central Time. And speaking of meditation, my wife Alexandra recorded a meditation for Greatest Year Ever. Let me just draw that up so we're there. I think this won't be weird. If it is, then it is. All right, what do we got? Whoa. Geez. All right, where's Greatest Year Ever? We're getting close. Heroic was it? Go to Heroic US G Y E. Boom. And watch Greatest Year Ever 101 for free. It's a two part class again, all about helping you activate your heroic potential, etc. Although I think I actually had a link there before I messed it up to the. Oops. Did I go there to the actual page where we have it? Let me see. Yes. Did we drop? Yes. So we got Part one. Theory is loaded there now. And then we've got part two. It's not loading right now. Practice. Check that out. Two part class. And then we've got my wife's meditation, which is there will be there as of today. And then on that note, before I send you off, Alexander's doing a whole series of meditations. We're going to start our daily series of meditations. I think on January 15th. The kids are going to be doing meditations. We're going to have Heroic Kids Meditations. One minute meditations with Alexandra, Emerson and Eleanor. We're paying them five bucks each for it. They're pretty excited about it. So while that's coming in 2023, let's make it the greatest year of our lives. Have an awesome day. See you.
