Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to another micro class. This one's on outperform your contract. It's inspired by the Champions comeback by Jim Afromo. Works with a ton of the elite performers in basically every sport out there. He's got this great idea from an NFL player, J.J. watt, who says this is how you should approach your life, outperform your contract. This is what your contract is for your job or for your. He doesn't use the example of your relationship, but you've got a contract in different areas of your life. I got this agreement, I've got that agreement, right. How can we outperform our contracts such that we work so hard, we put so much into our effort, our job, our sport, our family, whatever it is, people look at us and go, wow, nice work. That person needs a raise. They're outperforming their contract. It's kind of like the idea of astonishing to strike with lightning. Now I do a pretty good job of that in my creative work here and I do a decent job with that in my other two primary areas of being a husband and a father. But I'm way better here than I am here and again, I'm proud of where I am here. But there's a lot more room for improvement for me to really outperform my contract. What if I approached my relationship with both my wife and my son with.
That idea of, you know what, I.
Just want to just outperform my intangible contract with you.
How can I do that and look.
For ways to work even harder to be the type of husband and father I want to be? That's inspiring for me. Right Again, I spend most of my time thinking about how I can do it over here and then a fair amount, you know, over here. But that's exciting to imagine. How can we outperform the contracts in our lives? Think about that. Think about one thing you can do in your creative side of things in your relationship. If you are blessed to be a mom or dad, what can you do? I'm going to think about that as well and let's get on it. Let's outperform our contracts and astonish.
