Micro Class: The Tools: Bring It On!

Brian Johnson teaches the Bring It On tool from Phil Stutz and Barry Michaels' The Tools. The three-step script: say "Bring it on," then "I love pain," then "Pain sets me free" to turn fear into forward momentum and access your infinite potential.
Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to another micro class.
This one's on Bring It On. It's inspired by the Tools by Phil.
Stutts and Barry Michaels. One of my favorite books ever.
Check out the note and the interviews.
And all that good stuff.
Bring It On. This is the first tool and my favorite tool. And in my interviews with Phil and Barry, I learned it's their favorite tool as well. This is how we deal with fear. Now, most people, when they experience fear or pain or anything uncomfortable, right?
They're sitting here in their little comfort.
Zone and they feel this fear right here, right?
And what do they do? They feel it and they bounce back into their comfort zone. Ah.
They want to do everything they possibly can to avoid that pain or that fear. What the Tools guys say is we need to do the exact opposite. We need to reverse our desire. Rather than the desire to avoid pain, we need to condition ourselves and train ourselves to say, bring it on. Bring on this fear. This fear, this little cloud of fear, is what separates me from my infinite potential. Infinite potential exists on the other side of our fear and our pain. Knowing that we want to reverse our desire and get excited about feeling fear because we know that's an opportunity for us to bust through it and experience a higher and deeper degree of our infinite potential. So the tool that basically this step one, when you feel fear or pain, you say to yourself, you actually shout it to yourself, Bring it on. As loud as you can, silently inside your head. Bring it on, right? And then you say to yourself, I love pain.
And they make the point that this isn't a masochistic idea.
This is just the relationship that's healthy with fear and with pain, knowing that it's connected to our infinite potential.
We love it, right? The third thing we say is, as.
We move through this fear in our mind, energetically visualizing it is we say, pain sets me free. Pain sets me free. By moving through it, I enter my infinite potential and I tap into forward movement, forward momentum. This is a higher force.
They say that every one of their.
Tools connects us to a higher force. The higher force here is forward momentum, forward movement. Life moves forward, and we learn to lean into our fear to say, bring it on.
I love pain.
Pain sets me free. And then go do whatever needs to get done. There's an energy and a life force and a vitality that's created that is momentum. And it catalyzes some extraordinary things.
I'm sure you've experienced that in your life when you've stepped into something that.
You were afraid of. All of a sudden doors opened where there once were walls.
As Joseph Campbell puts it.
Bring it on. This is the first tool. I love it.
It's transformed my life.
Try it out the next time you're feeling any fear or pain. Lean into it via this three step.
Process and take a step closer to your infinite potential. Hope you enjoyed. Look forward to sharing more soon. Have another awesome day. Bring it on. Hey guys, this is Brian. A lot of people don't know what I do beyond these YouTube videos I put up, so I thought I'd give you a quick tour of our membership platform. Thousands of people have joined us already. 10 bucks a month get get access to a ton of stuff that's in addition to what I put up on YouTube for free. So the basic idea is you just watched a micro class. Hope you enjoyed that. I share I just started doing these micro classes, but I Now share over 50 of these per month. We've shared dozens so far and it's basically a quick class on my absolute favorite stuff across the different domains of optimal living. Two to three maybe five minute little micro classes on how to optimize your life. In addition to that you get access to every single one of our Philosopher's notes. We now have over 250 philosopher's notes on some really really good books. A lot of them in each one of them. You're familiar with the PNTV videos if you've watched many of those. But we also have PDFs and MP3s of our Philosopher's notes. So here's let's take a look at what a PDF looks like. This is an example of a Philosopher's note. It's a six page PDF where I basically share some of my favorite thoughts, riff on it, talk about how other teachers say the same things, and give you a nice playful kick in the butt to go out and apply the wisdom that is a philosopher's note. Record that as an MP3 that you can download as well. And 250 of those. I produce 10 of those at least per month that I share with you in addition to the micro classes. And then you also get access to all of our old classes. We have the 5 day immersion reboot habits 101, confidence 101, getting stuff done 101 meditation 101 and then future classes and including relationships 101 energy 101 purpose 101 biz 101 goals 101 etc. So there you go. Really blessed to have some extraordinary support and I will share with you where you go to sign up. I'll put a link to this, but basically, cruise on over here. You can sign up. And this is the kind of response we've gotten so far from our members. It's pretty neat. I've made more positive changes in my life, my brief membership, only three months so far, than I did through years of counseling. Yes. Brian Johnson, you are a rock star. Thank you very much. That's very kind of you. And I'm making huge strides in optimizing my life. As a result of your philosopher's notes and optimal living classes, I spend $19 a month on my gym membership to take care of my body. A mere $10 a month on an optimal living membership is the biggest value invest investment I've ever made in my emotional, mental and spiritual health.
