All right party people, this is Bry third installment of today's creative process series. I'm working hard today. I started my everyday. I restart this Timex watch when I start my deep work. So 11 and a half hours ago I started my deep work. It's 5:45pm which means I started at 6:15. I got up around 5 this morning a little before, meditated for I don't know, 30, 35 minutes. Did my little opening series, got to work. So I am 11 and a half hours into overall work day. 45 minute deep work session just ended. I put in 9.7 hours of deep work. If it isn't my all time high, it's pretty close. That's a lot of deep work for one day. 2.6 hours, 1.6 hours, 1.8 hours, 1.5, 0.6, 0.85, 0.75. And I drafted 26 plus ones which is crazy fired up about that. Look at all those ones crossed off. I got 42 of my 45 ready to go tomorrow morning I'm gonna hit the remaining three. I've already got the paper documents ready to go. The title's ready. I know what I'm gonna do. Pulling some big ideas. I got a big old stack of plus ones that I am going to proof before I hit the studio tomorrow. The basic process is I go all in. Where did I have my notes that I walked you through? And remember today I started slow, a little sluggish. Old me would have said I don't have it today. Not feeling inspired. New me says perfect. Feeling sluggish, who cares? Type. Continue working, don't be precious. Show up, put in the reps, get started. Boom. I created some momentum and I kept shooting on a roll. Don't stop. Lanny Basham style. Then I finished every single one of the plus ones I've started. And I'm serious. I was thinking about this. I think every single one of those. Maybe I've had a half a dozen or so that just never came together. But I just forced myself to finish, finish, finish, finish, finish, finish, finish. Don't be precious again. Iterate done. Get, get, get it done. Go on to the next one. Large quantums of time. I have not plugged in at all today. I've not had one input, told the team, as I said, I'm going deep, getting ahead. Fire it up. I'm going to be able to take my focus and apply it on what is important next after I get ahead. So it's January, I don't know what is it, 12th today. And when I'm done with the studio tomorrow, I'm going to have plus ones filmed through March 15th. So I'll be over two months ahead as of tomorrow. Then I'm gonna hit the studio again in two weeks before I start the Mastery Daily 101 sessions on February 1st. And I'm gonna do another 30 to 45, so I'm gonna be around three months ahead, which I love. All right. Anyway, again, if you're into my creative process, you might have found this enjoying, enjoyable. If not, God bless you. Let me know if you have any questions. By the way, I've been meaning to say that if you have questions, put them in the comments. Team's collecting them for me and I'll see if I can address them. I've been so busy. I have not hit my targets today. But look, I'm committed to being the heroic philosopher CEO and a heroic philosopher CEO. I'm fiercely ambitious, unapologetically intense, focused on what's important now, iconoclastic, relentless, anti fragile, calm, confident. I have indomitable will, personal humility. I'm creative, hopeful, optimistic, energized, enthusiastic, purpose driven. I commit to these every morning. I'm courageous, honest, forward looking. As I've shared in prior videos, each of these means something to me. Deeply and quickly I can affirm that I am committed to being these qualities. Anyway, today I recommitted to my sacred vow, creating a world in which 51% of humanity is flourishing. By 2051, boom. I've hit that target 378 times. I did my number one win. What's important now? I'm going to miss my shutdown complete by a few minutes. But you know what, when I do this, if I'm kind of on target, like it's 550 or something like that, I may hit it. It's my game. I get to choose when I win and when I don't, I put that in so I've got a clear target. But you know, I can hit within the range of the bullseye and I'm winning. But when I shut down, I'm going to be done. Done. Office is closed. Even Freshfield style shut down complete. Cal Newport style team, please link to those plus ones and the respective philosopher's notes and team. Bless you. So I'm going to give myself this because I'm going to shut down completely and then I'm going to go spend time with the kids. We're going to play. I'm going to read to them. We're going to have a great time now. I did three of these videos today. How you doing? Let's go, hero. I get to hit that target more than once. Let's see if I can drag it. Oh, you can go both ways. We designed it so it works for a left handed person and a right handed person. Very clever, Metalab. Very clever. All right. I was definitely creative before. Reactive. I have not reacted to any inputs at all today. I've definitely done some deep work. I feel like I've paid the price for greatness. That's a Bob Rotella idea, by the way. How champions think. Check out that philosopher's note. Bam. That thing is good. I've got it in my stack of notes that's sitting right here for me that I can review at any time. Some of my absolute all time favorites. I'm rereading my notes. Oh, there it is. All the time to get my own inspiration. Anyway, check it out. Pay the price for greatness. Let's go. No excuses. Did I craft the heroic vision today? Yeah, I paid my tax. Just a few minutes today. Did I reconnect to the heroic community? I read some scholarship applications. My heart is just open and broken at times. People are struggling, you know, and we've got important work to do. I'm all in. I didn't read today. I'm finishing up great book on leadership by Jim Mattis called Call Sign Chaos. I've got a few pages left on that note. Coming soon. What an inspiring human being. This book was recommended to me by a new dear friend who is a commanding officer in the US Military. Just a good, good, good, good human being. Shout out if you're watching this, you know who you are. All right? And then here's a fun target. 5.1 hours of deep work. Almost double that. Go me. Did I find the time and find the energy? Yes. That's another Bob Rotella idea. Did I crush it? More than once, folks. More than once. Teamwork makes the dream work. You know what? I didn't actually interact with the team today, but they are making the dream work. That sheet that I share with you, our team, you know, led by Patrick, our director of operations, Rosie behind the scenes, Brian with a Y. Behind the scenes, Calman. Everybody's just working so hard. Gives me tears in my eyes. To make it possible for me to do what I do and for you to experience everything that we do. So bless you, team. Teamwork makes the dream work. We got a saved by the bell little meme thing we do in text exchanges. Nearly every day. Did I read a philosopher's note? Yeah, I read more than one philosopher's note. Did I do my last call by 4:30? I didn't have any calls today. So, yeah, I did that by last call by 4:30. I like to have my last call by 4:30 so that my brain's not blowing up with stimuli. I don't always do that, but I'm going to put my desk into a ready state. I'm going to hit it right now. Arete. Strive for excellence in everything I do. Let me see. I remind myself of that every day too. And then, you know, the way that I hit 101 targets is I'll go, yeah, you know what? I crushed it more than once. How you doing? Let's go. There were times I didn't feel the energy. Yeah, I found the energy. I found the time. And then I go in here. I didn't do the read plus 1 or 1% of my day, which is 14 minutes and 24 seconds. No big deal. Edit, uncommit, Boom. That's like me. I have fun playing my game. If I don't hit a target, not the end of the world. An archer does not go out to the range and hit 1000 out of a thousand targets. Neither do I, but we set targets. Otherwise, how are you going to know what you're supposed to be doing today, hero? Oh, wait, I didn't do four shoot. All right, whatever. Bonus number one win. Yep. I can hit that multiple times during the day. And I do, because I'm doing what's important now, right now. Talking to you. And I was doing what's important now when I was writing each plus one. So I'm done. Heroic philosopher, CEO. Check mark right where I want it. I ate a challenge. Like an energy born more than once. I'm gonna go spend time with the kids. I'll hit that. Wait. I'm gonna play with the kids. I'm gonna read with the kids. Boom. I got my best day breadcrumbed here. Make your prior best your new baseline, folks. Life doesn't need to be so complicated. They still need to kiss. My wife. She was out all day. We had our tutor time with the kids. Emerson went to Jiu Jitsu. Ellen and I went to her music class. But I have had more than one micro moment of awesome with my wife and with my kids. So I'm going to hit my target again. Boom. Let's go. I have definitely responded to a bid from each of my kids and my wife. You know what? I haven't listened to my wife long enough yet. I'm going to do that. I haven't hit the trail with the family. I did pray for somebody. I do that every day. Encouraging you right now, boom. I'm going to get this done in under 10 minutes. All right, hero. That was a fun day. I really enjoyed spending so much of it with you. Let's go, hero.
