PhilosophersNotes

Brian Johnson created Philosopher's Notes to distill books on optimal living into six-page summaries, audio, and videos. After selling his business, he wanted to self-educate across positive psychology, philosophy, and self-development. The project now offers notes, scholarships, and a blog.

Hey, how are you? This is Brian. Welcome to philosophersnotes.com I appreciate you taking time to learn more about what we're up to here and I thought I'd give you a really quick video tour of what's going on so quickly. A couple years ago I decided to about two and a half years ago, decided to sell the business I was running at the time and give myself a PhD in how to live optimal living. And I wanted to study all the different things that I think go into creating an extraordinary life from positive psychology and the science of happiness. I'm passionate about all the stuff we're learning to scientifically increase our levels of happiness, to classic philosophy and mysticism and spirituality and modern day self development and creativity and financial abundance, creation and building businesses. All these things that I think are part of creating an extraordinary life in the 21st century. I wanted to study. Now there wasn't a PhD program out there that took care of all that stuff. So I decided to give myself my own PhD and I decided I'd get a Master's when I had distilled a hundred of my favorite books into quick 6 page PDF summaries and 20 minute MP3s, and when I created a profitable business sharing that wisdom and demonstrating the fact that we can get paid to to do whatever it is we love to do. So that's where Philosopher's Notes came from. And you'll notice above we have a top navigation. You can click on Notes and learn more about the six page PDFs that we have on a hundred of the greatest personal growth self development books out there so you can learn more about that. We also have scholarships if cash is an issue for you and you can't afford the notes, although we've priced them at $47 deliberately at a price we hope isn't an issue for most people. And if it is, then no problem, sign up for a scholarship. We've got that. We've also got Philosopher's Notes TV where I'm producing 10 minute video overviews of my hundred notes in these favorite books of mine. The big ideas from those books as well as some of my other favorite big ideas. We're just getting going with that now and I'm excited about that. Then we've got a blog as well where I share some of the stuff that's inspiring me, et cetera. And I think there's a link up there where you can learn more about me. So that's the basic idea. Welcome to Philosopher's Notes. I trust you're doing great. And I'm really excited to share what I'm so passionate about and hope we have the opportunity to play together. All right, have an awesome day. See you.
