$60K in Debt Almost Destroyed Me… Then I Cleared It in 5 Months

I was thinking about it this morning. I have never met a disobedient wealthy believer. I have met wealthy believers, Christians that are doing massive things for God. I've met people that are masters of their trade, masters of their craft, They've broken generations, broken generations of wealth. They will never be able to finish the wealth that they have. They are contributors, not takers. Contributors to destinies of men. I know people that are rich, money is not their desire. Believers that are serving God, serving God faithfully. But you will never see a faithful broke Christian. You never see a great steward that is broke, never. But you always see people who are unfaithful in their 90% crying to God because of the 10% they give to God. When I was in Johannesburg, South Africa, I met great people, great people. There is a church in Johannesburg, South Africa in the Randburg area. They had just about 150 people. They built their church over— they built their church over 2 million, fighting with finances. But I wondered why God never prospers a terrible steward. See, every time you see money or the lack of money, there is disobedience connected to it. Even in my life, in my life, I've noticed every time I exclude God from the 90%, I'm cut out of the supply system of heaven. See, sometimes you think your 10% is important. It is. You're returning what God's God has given you, but there's a stewardship. There's a stewardship. You'll never find a great steward that is poor. You'll never find a great steward that is poor. Poverty is not the absence of resource, it's a lack of resourcefulness. It's a horrible thing to be broke. It's a horrible thing to be broke. Horrible thing to be broke. Horrible things to be broke. Horrible. It needs to be your one goal that the pain of poverty you don't want in your family. I meet a lot of people who say, who talk about, who say don't talk about finances. Let me tell you something, you are not there. And you know, you know the funny thing, poor people always say People who lack always say money is not important. You never find wealthy people say it. I've studied the Bible back to back, back to back. Every time the scripture talks about money, talks about stewardship, stewardship. You'll never be able to do anything tangible without grace to worship. Every broke person, including me when I struggled, when I was in debt, every broke person has a broken covenant. You broke the thing that what God is saying. Let me tell you, I've studied data, I've studied regions. I've studied systems. I've studied— let me tell you something, I'm a student of prayer. I'm passionate about prayer. Prayer is my language of expression. I'm anointed. I'm anointed. I know how to pray. You cannot outpray me. You cannot outpray me. I understand the metrics. I understand the mathematics. I understand the back ends of prayer. I understand— I've gone into regions to pray. I prayed into territories. I prayed for kings. I prayed for great people. I pray for myself, I pray for people to have a breakthrough. And just recently, I fought the beast of finances. Didn't allow me to sleep. I felt like Apostle Paul said he fought that silversmith. I fought it. But let me tell you what I experienced. All of this headache is resolved with one word from God. You never find Somebody that is obedient that will not enjoy the good of the land? It's not possible. Many times we are obedient when we need God. Check it out, I've studied people that I prayed for, thousands of people, and I'm telling you out of the thousands of people that I prayed for, lack is a major disease. It drove me. You can't tell me about lack, I know it. You can't tell me about lack, I know it. You cannot tell me about provision, I know it. You cannot tell me— let me tell you something, when you are broke and you're single, it's a different game. When you're broke, married with children, no rent, no bill, no electricity, my brother, you will respect the power of divine provision. Don't tell me that. People talk easily. People talk easily. People just say things that are eloquent. But let me tell you, when the rubber hits the road, You're just the one that's going to be there fighting. I fought beast. I fought it. I fought. I remember one time years ago, the whole day from morning till 5 PM, I waited for my pastor friend to buy a loaf of bread. So I walked with him so I could get a loaf of bread to bring to my family. Don't tell me that the pain of lack cannot be expressed. Don't tell me that. I began to ask God, what is it that I'm missing? I'm a lover of Jesus. I'm a follower of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I'm a student of the Spirit. What is it that I'm missing? If I don't want abundance, but I, I don't want this self-affliction of lack to be with my children, my family in abundance, but I don't want lack. You see, let me tell you what drives me. What drives me? I'm not driven by money. I'm driven by obedience. I'm driven by divine obedience. You got to understand, there are things that drives me. Is so crucial that I'm leaving you with this. So what do I need to do? So if you are in lack, you're stuck in lack, you are in a place where— Jesus, my, my, my, my— if you're in a place where nothing is working I want you to listen to me. I know what I'm saying. I've got scars, I've got pain, I've been embarrassed, I've been harassed. I understand it. But God, God, by his mercy, did not just helped me come out of lack, he taught me something so crucial, and I want to spend the rest of my life sharing this with you. So Jesus comes out of— remember Matthew chapter 4, he comes out of— hey, God is here, God is here. So he comes down from 40 days and 40 nights. Then I realized right that moment, oh my God, fasting and prayer cannot cure poverty. Oh my God, he came down and the Bible said he was hungry. Somebody listen, listen, let me, let me just do this, let me just do this to protect my head. Listen, He came down from 40 days and 40 nights. 40 days and 40 nights. Right there, right that moment, my mind was blown. Hold on, he came out of fasting and 40 days and 40 nights with the Father, came down from the mountain, he was hungry. Folks, I have prayed, fasted. You can fast. I have fasted for God to pay my bill, nothing happened. I have cried. Listen to me, I've stood on the word, I've done everything supernaturally possible, but there was no miracle. Fasted 40 days and 40 nights, folks, it's not in the fasting. You can't fast your way into God's purpose. Fasting brings clarity, visibility, power, dominion, authority to key in to receive what God has. Oh my, fast 40 days and 40 nights. But let me go show you something again. And the Bible said he was led to meet with Satan. Listen to me, there, right that moment, I realized, oh my God, it has nothing to do with my job, has nothing to do with my savings, my income, It's a spiritual warfare, is a state of attack that your finances is under an attack. That's why, let me tell you, the enemy repeats the battle. I fought the devil, God showed me mercy. The beast would have finished us, but God showed me mercy. So I realized That if you are going to do anything financially possible, this is what you're going to do. I need you to hear me. You need to take your finances as a warfare. So the Bible says Satan comes and he tells Jesus, meets with Jesus and says, "Hehe, let me tell you this." The Lord revealed to me that poverty is a spiritual state. Poverty is the contest of your identity. If you are the Son of Man, turn this stone to bread. Because the Son of Man's only goal is to pursue, to acquire, to get, to get. You cannot be saved and pursue bread. No, see, that, that, that's, that, that lack. What I learned from my experience is that that financial situation situation, the test of your identity. Jesus says to Satan, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds. Listen, if I was sitting with a $100,000 debt, I'll pay it off. I'm gonna pay it it has nothing to do with my income, my savings— is going to be paid off. Because Jesus said there is a word that is proceeding, that is coming from the mouth of God. That word is the bread. That word— there is a word that God will speak to you right now. Things will change. See, the problem is that you chase the bread, you chase the job, you chase everything except the current. There is a rhema, there is a word now, there is a revelation, there is a dream. He said in the last day I will pour out. There's an outpouring. Every situation you're you are facing calls for a divine revelation. So I began, I said, I don't understand this. So I'm not supposed to pursue all of that? No, there is a proceeding. Hey, you know what that means? It means there is a fresh bread. Jesus is the bread of life. There is a word that will come to you. It will hit your inner man. It will hit your mind. It will activate. He said if that spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, It will activate your motor bodies. You have to understand that the word of God is life. He's sharp. See, you can be in lack and you hear a voice, make that call. You can be, you can be broke and a voice will say, do this. There's a voice in the midst of scarcity. The situation was that Jesus was hungry, but there is a word. There is a word. There is a word preceding her. See, the problem is the positioning. Hallelujah! It's not the provision, it's the position. You are in the wrong FM, you are in the wrong frequency, you are in the wrong channel. There is a word. Have you seen Ezekiel say, the word of the Lord came to me, hey, and it took me off my feet. Ezekiel is a dangerous man in the spirit realm. Men like Jeremiah, hallelujah! Men like Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, those are some major prophets. Those are some entities that had access to the— I said, Lord, you mean that when I'm in my greatest warfare, that's when your greatest word is released? So you know what I did? I took the problem I didn't pray about it. I'm facing 23 days or else the devil is coming, coming, coming. And I slept like a baby. Then in the morning, in the morning, I was having my bath and I heard the word, and there was a word. Hey, there was a word. See, the word of God diffused, it scattered, it rendered the problem useless. Hey, so you have to, you have to, you have to encounter this. You can be in a million-dollar debt, a proceeding word will come. God will tell you what to do. It might not be connected There will be pressed down, shaken together, and running over word. That was my breakthrough. That was my miracle. Ehi! And it came. Bible says, he said, it came in the cool of the day. It came in the cool of the day. It came in the cool of the day. Hallelujah!
