“How to Correct Any Mistake in Your Life” HesedOjieh

Hesed Ojieh walks through a ten-step framework for healing from serious mistakes: admit what happened in front of a mirror, write a confession letter to your younger self, map what you can control, separate guilt from growth, and redesign the trigger-emotion-thought-decision pattern that led you astray.

How to correct any mistake in your life. How to correct any mistake in your life. I want to share with you a personal experience and the experience of people that have made terrible mistakes. How to correct any mistake in your life. This is a self-healing journey. To rebuild, redefine, and rise again. One of the things you— I need you to hear and understand is the, the first thing I need you to understand is the power of admission, the power to admit you did it. The power to admit you did it. The power to admit you did it is the power of admission. I don't want you— the goal is to move from denial. The goal is to move from denial. We tend to be in denial when we make mistakes. We give every excuse in the book to say why it happened and not what happened. Everybody wants to know what happened, but the why is very strong. Why did it happen? For you, it's not what happened because you know what happened. Healing begins when you stop defending defending what broke you. You know, you become a prisoner of what happened instead of you to find why it happened. Why did it happen? Has this been— this thing been on my mind for a long time? Have I had this thing on my mind for a long time? Why did it happen? Not what happened. True healing begins. You will never be healed from what happened until you know why it happened. Healing begins when you stop defending something that broke you. The why is what broke you. Why? You are the only one that knows why it happened. And remember, it didn't just happen when it happened. It already happened in your mind. I want you to begin to Be aware that defending yourself is going to open the door for what you might never be able to come out of. The power of admission. Yes, you did it. Yes, you did it. That's all. Nobody's going to hold you as a prisoner. So until you set yourself free, yourself free. But when you are a prisoner, every other person makes you a prisoner. Admit it. Yes, you did it to yourself. To yourself. I'm talking about to yourself, not telling people I did it. No, it really begins when you admit to yourself, I did it. Now let's reflect. Let's go deeper. See, the why is what is the mistake in your life that you've been afraid to admit personally? To discover the why— why this happened, why this happened, why did I cheat, why did I make a mistake, why did this happen— you must first Find what is it that is in you that you are afraid to admit. What are the most— what are you most afraid will happen when you face this situation honestly? How has the denial kept your emotion frozen. You have to find why. Why did this happen? You have to find why, except you're not ready to be healed. If you're ready to be healed, you have to mirror the truth. There's something I want— I call the mirror truth practice. Stand in front of a mirror and say, I did it. And I'm ready to be healed. You have to stand before the mirror and practice the truth. Let your body, your physiology, your psychology, your thought pattern, every part of you admit, agree that you did it. That's where healing begins. If you don't admit, you will open the door for a more difficult mistake. The second thing I want to encourage you to do is write a confession letter to yourself, not to explain, but to release yourself. Make sure nobody sees the letter. You have to write it like you're talking to yourself. You have to write it like you're talking to your 20-year-old self in the language that you communicate, the language between your mind and you. Use that tonation to write, reflect on the confession later. So two things that will open the door for healing: to admit. Stand before the mirror and say, you know what, I did it, I did it, and I'm ready to be healed. I'm not here to give excuse why, I'm not here to say what happened, how it happened. I did it, and I'm ready for rebuilding, reconciliation. I'm ready to take my life to the next level. And I want you to, I want you to own your story. I want you to own your weakness. I want you to own it. See, at the end of the day, when your back hits the bed, nobody's going to be there for you. But if you free yourself from this imprisonment, of pretending, of not owning up, is destructive. You have to own up. You have to say, I did it, I made a mistake. You must agree. Stop regretting, stop regretting. Admit you did it. That's all it takes. And when you do, you just sit down and relax yourself and let life roll. Don't be a prisoner of something that destroyed you. Don't partner with something that already destroyed you. So number 2, I want you to do— so the first one is to admit it, the power of admission. Yes, I did it. Second thing I need you to look at very deeply is to rebuild you, rebuild you, rebuild you, you yourself. I need you to rebuild you. Shift your focus from fixing others who you've hurt, who are very angry, offended, who are expressing the difficulties. Free yourself from them. First of all, shift the focus from fixing others to restoring you. That's where the power begins. Sometimes the mistakes we want to fix every other person but us, want to fix every other person but us. That's not where it is. You have to make up your mind that I'm— until I'm healed, nobody around me will be healed. So you can't rebuild others from a version of you that is still broken. Fix you, rebuild you, rebuild you, leave the others. You will catch up with them when you're healed. Rebuild you, rebuild you. Focus on this prompt, focus on this. Except you're trying to prove something to somebody. Who are you trying to prove your change to? It's not necessary. Don't let people make you feel that you have to show them you have changed. Nobody has the power over you but you. Don't give anybody the power to prove to them that you've changed. I've been there. I know that. There are mistakes in my life growing up that I spent my whole life trying to prove to my father that I was changed. That is being imprisoned. Sometimes you realize that there's a part of you feeling unworthy, unworthy of peace until others forgive you. Don't give anybody that power. If you live trying to restore other people, trying to prove a point that you've changed, that you're a different person, and the more you try to prove to them that you're different, the more they will imprison you. Be at peace even when people genuinely apologize. Make them know that you regret it. You're sorry, but don't lose your peace with people who don't want to forgive you and let go. Some people are excited to keep you imprisoned, to remind you of your failure. Don't give them that power. What you need is to focus on rebuilding you first. This is what I want you to do. It's called a cycle of focus. The cycle of focus. It's called the cycle of focus. I want you to do this. Draw two cycles. Label one, label one, 'What I can control.' Label the next one, 'What I must release.' Write inside of them what I can control, right? The first circle, 'What I can control.' Write the things you can control. The second one, write the things you must release. This cycle will make you focus on what you must let go. See, I need you to know this, that in the power of a mistake, to correct a mistake in your life, your healing is your responsibility and nobody else. Very important, I need you to know. The third thing I want you to do on how to correct a mistake in your life The inner war, the inner voice. There's a voice warfare, there's a voice warfare. The voice of guilt versus the voice of growth. Now what I want you to know is that there will always be a voice of reminding you of the things you've done and what you've done and what you've done and all of that. Separate your inner critics from your higher self, from your true self. If you believe the voice of guilt, you will live with guilt for the rest of your life. But if you believe that there's a voice of growth in the midst of your situation, then growth will take place. Now I want you to ask yourself this: what do you tell yourself when you're alone and when you are in that place where you're remembering, reflecting and recollecting of the mistakes that you made. My second question is, what opinions still live rent-free in your mind? Opinion— wow, wow, this, that person said that, this what I did. What are they? Write them down. And which of the voice do you agree? Is it the voice of guilt or the voice of growth? This is so important. You must know the voice of guilt and the voice of growth. One of the voice empowers you and one of the voice enslaves you. I want you to know that if you believe the voice of growth that speaks to you in your weakest moment, you will ruin everything. You must learn, you must understand that growth is learning and improving, improving from the shame, improving the fact that you're broken. But now you're rebuilding. So remember that you need to rewrite the voice inside of your head to be the voice of growth, accepting what happened and looking at how you can improve, why it happened. Improve the why. Focus on the growth and not on the regret. Fourth thing I want to tell you is breaking the echo. Breaking the echo, really, the echo. Breaking the echo. The 4th thing I want to tell you is breaking the echo. Releasing the past. Releasing the past. It's important that I want you to stop replaying the moments of your failure. Be conscious. Create the moment of your future. The moment of the future. The moment of your future is the combination of what you can achieve and what has happened before and the mistakes you have made. But in those mistakes, you have learned to become a master of the mistakes that you have made. Stop replaying the echoes of your past. The past is an event, is not your identity. I want you to reflect on these questions. What specific memories keep echoing in your mind? The voice of what you did or the voice of empowering future? What are the emotions that you carry with? The condemnation, the feeling of not worthy that you carry with. They are speaking to your life. What life would you like if you stop identifying with the story of your failure, the things you need to correct. I want you to do two things. Release the rituals, write the repeating memories and emotions that is tied to it, burn them off. Ask God not to let you remember them again. Release all of those things, those powers, those mistakes. Forget, write it down and release them. I want you to replace each of those times, the moment you're thinking, replace them with the version of you that is growing, where you are going, the picture of your future. Release the rituals of the past, replace it with the practice of your future. Remember this, you can only rewrite your future until you release your past. Number 5, very important, the question that heals: Why did it happen? Understand this, that in your mind are internal triggers, internal patterns. Remember that behind every mistake is an unmet need. Very powerful. Talk about it some other time. Now, why that thing happened, not what happened, why it happened is because there is an unmet need, an unhealed emotion. Every mistake is tied to an unmet need, something that is inside of you that is is unmet, and something around inside of you that is unhealed that triggered the moment the mistake was made is important. So you have to ask yourself, what needs were you trying to meet when you made the decision, when you made the mistake? What was the need? What were you trying to meet? Was it a love need, a reflex, a, a relief need, or a validation? There is an unmet need that opened every mistake. Two things: an need an unhealed emotion. Find what it is. Now, what are the emotions that existed just before you acted? What was the state of your mind before you— what was the state of your mind? What did your mind want to fulfill? What did your mind want to meet? What emotion was your mind needing when you made that mistake? That's how to come out of the future of another mistake. What part of your life were already out of alignment before these mistakes happened. I need you to locate it. I want you to draw a pattern tracker, create a simple chart. Are you with me? I want you to look at the triggers, look at the emotions, the thoughts, the decisions, and the results. Was there a trigger? When that trigger came, what was the emotion? Without thought, emotions can't have power to make decisions. So it's trigger, emotion, thought, decision, and result. Identify where the awareness that you could have stopped before it went spiral. I want you to remember that you are learning the pattern to relieve the pain and not release the mistake. Number 6 thing I need you to do is healing has a pattern, creating a new default. I want I want you to understand this, that you can correct any mistakes you've made. You break the pattern through— you are aware, you are aware of the trigger, you are aware of the emotion, you are aware of the thoughts that makes the decisions for you to make a mistake, and the result is what you see. So I need you to be aware so you can create new habits, new patterns, replace the repeated mistakes that are messages that are coming to you internally. Replace them and stop giving them attention. I want you to think What are the 3 most common emotional triggers you have? How do you usually cope when you are overwhelmed? And what could you do differently? So you must understand the boundaries that are open are the needs that you're trying to protect, are the needs that are giving you peace. Take a piece of paper, write, write your patterns, rewrite the patterns. Look, what are the old patterns the old triggers, the old emotion, the old thoughts. Look at it again. What are the decisions you need to make? Pause, breathe, think about it deeper. Then you begin to practice awareness. Spend 2 minutes, look at your mind. Is my mind in the right direction? Is it flowing the right direction? Then you can break the power of a mistake and you can create a new life. Number 7 thing I want you to do is to learn the art of self-forgiveness and the internal punishment cycle. Forgiveness is not an excuse, it is releasing your past into your— it's releasing your past from your future. It is releasing your future from your past. Forgive yourself. Now write it. What are the gifts that you are holding on to? How do you treat yourself because of the things that happened in the past? Release yourself. Write yourself a letter of forgiveness. Write yourself. Then you can finally— number 18, I want I want you to do is to rebuild yourself brand new. Redefine your self-concept, refine your identity after healing. You are not your mistake. You are evolving. You are becoming somebody new. Look at the strengths in your season that you are. What are the strengths that are awakened within you? What are these values that are defining your next chapter? You're becoming somebody else because of your strength, your core belief, your systems, and the people around you. This is the exercise I want you to do.
