Hesed Ojieh teaches that addiction is the body's desire overriding the mind and spirit. He argues true freedom comes not from suppressing desire but redirecting it by saturating your mind with Scripture, fasting, and letting the Spirit dominate. The mind is the processor, the body the producer.

How to quit addiction supernaturally. How to quit— maybe you want to quit weed, you're tired of vaping, you're struggling with thoughts And those thoughts are so addictive. Say, 'I'm tired of smoking, I'm tired of all these perverse thoughts. I'm addicted to it, I'm addicted to it. I want to own up. Is there a way to break this?' Addiction supernaturally. By the way, this is a prophetic revelation. I'm not advising you professionally. I'm laying in your hand the power to supernaturally allow God to break addiction. Hear me. One of the things about addiction is it leaves you empty, it leaves you wanting more, it leaves you desiring more. When you are saying, 'I don't want more,' but your body wants more. This is deep, it's a revelation. I want you for me the next few minutes. In Romans 8, something so powerful. He said, "But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit." In the Spirit. So, there are two parts, the flesh and the Spirit. "If indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you." Now, if anyone does not have the Spirit of God, he is not of His. 10. And if the Spirit of God is in you, the body is dead because of sin. Sins. So, the problem with addiction, the things that we can't control, is that it's in the realm of the flesh. The flesh is not dead. You avoid the voice of your flesh. So that's what he's saying here. But I'm going somewhere. He said, but if the Spirit of Him who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, if the Spirit— so he says that your body can be dead, Dead to everything but what you want. Dead to what is right. Dead to what you know should be the way. Dead to what you know should be the right thing to do. But because he's dead, it has no power. It has no conscience. All he wants is what he wants. But if the Spirit of Him, Christ, the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, it will quicken that dead body. Body. So that body will no longer be the driver. Whatever the body wants, it will no longer have it because there's a quickening, there's a coming alive. Your body is now yielding. That's the thing with addiction. Your body has a language. But let's go deeper. Most importantly, we realize that we are not, we are not out of control with certain things, certain desires. But for some certain desires, We are out of control because our body is in charge. So sometimes we know what is right, what is wrong. You know you shouldn't do it, but you do it. You know you shouldn't smoke because you said it was the last time. You shouldn't drink, but you can't do anything about it because your body is in charge. Now, why is that? Why is that? So addiction is a language of the body. They desire the body, what your body wants. You can find that in 1 Thessalonians 5. He said, "For the God of peace Himself will sanctify you wholly. May your spirit, soul, and body be preserved completely." Let me say something here, and I want you to hear me very well. That there are 3 languages being spoken in your life. There are 3 languages. Do you know there are 3 languages in your life? The language of your body is desire. It will always speak. It will always speak. There are 3 languages in your body: the language of desire, which is the language of the body, which is desire; the language of the soul, which is meditation; and the language of worship, which is the spirit. So every time you find yourself desiring something, the language of your body Your desire is speaking. Every time you find yourself thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and overthinking, the language of your soul—meditation, thoughts—is in charge. Every time you desire to worship God and you want to do this, you want to go into a spiritual experience, the language of your spirit wants you to worship God. So there are 3 languages speaking in your body. Every time you desire, your body is speaking. You will desire something. Every time you meditate, you're thinking, you're thinking, you're thinking, you're thinking, the mind is speaking because it needs something. And every time you worship and pray and you want God in your spirit man, your spirit man is speaking, is looking for, is yearning for something. Addiction is the voice of your body, the voice of your body wanting something. And all it has always had, and all you've given that body is that thing that you're struggling with. 3 languages in your body: the language of meditation, which is your soul thinking, the language of worship, and the language of desire. Very powerful. I began to think about it, pray about this. I said, God, reveal to me what's going on here. Why are there things in my life that I cannot control, that are controlling me? It doesn't matter if I pretend I know I'm being controlled by drinking, I'm being controlled sexually, I'm being controlled in my mind, I know that something is wrong somewhere. It takes place. Those desires take place. Those addiction takes place only one realm. Let me explain something to you. The things you struggle with, they only take place in one realm, in the realm of your desire. When your body desires unconsciously, uncontrollable, Then it shuts down the thinking, the reasoning block of your mind. It shuts down the voice of your help, the voice of God, because your voice wants— your body wants this, your body wants this, your body wants that. So it shuts down your ability to reason. You won't be— you won't think straight. You will think crooked. You find yourself doing things that naturally you won't do because the voice of the body has subjected the voice of thinking, the voice of reasoning, the voice of the conscience, and it has shut down the voice of help, which is the voice of the spirit realm. That's what desire does. That's what addiction does. That's what struggle does. That's what things that you cannot stop does. It shuts down everything that should guide you, guide you and protect you. Very powerful. You see, the mind is the processor, the body is the producer. Paul said, the things that I don't want to do, I find myself doing it. The Spirit is the protector. So to break addiction, to break the things, the substances, the behavior, the compulsive behavior, the compulsive harmful behavior, first you must remember that nobody— this is what people do. You will never, as long as you are alive, you will never be able to stop the language of the body, but you can control it. Because the body was created for desire, and God wants us to desire Him. He said if we seek Him with all our heart. So the problem is that the desire is right, but the desire is in the wrong place. You know, people say, "I don't want it anymore." No, that's not the problem. The first thing you must remember, that to stop your body from desiring these things, these things, is to change what you are desiring, not to stop desiring. You say, I don't want to do this anymore. You don't have that power because your body automatically yearns for those things. But you need to understand how to take your body in a different direction when those thoughts, those desires, you your body wants comes. To break addiction, substance addiction, and behavior, compulsive behavior, despite the things that are, that you know they are wrong, is to remember this, that it can be broken. This is what I want you to do to break these thoughts, negative thoughts, compulsive, harmful actions, The thing that you don't want, the weed, everything that is addictive. You must remember that your body is the producer but not the processor, your mind. So you find your body saying, "I want this," but you know it's bad. But your mind picks up the language of your body. And begins to repeat it, your body now sends the signal to your mind, this is what I want. Then your mind, because of the way it was created, that as a man thinketh, so he is— the body on its own cannot want those drinking, those alcohol, they cannot. It needs a processor it can control, and that's the mind. Begin to feed your mind aggressively with images and thoughts of God until it auto-plays in your mind to produce the spirit of the Word that you are thinking. Let me explain this better. I want to drink. I don't drink, but see, for example, I want to drink and you know it's addictive. You're addicted to drinking. Now it will send those thoughts, those words, those images to your mind. Your mind begins to process it, but your mind cannot process it by the first time you think about it. You see, power is released when there's thinking and overthinking. You see, as a man thinketh, so he is. It's a process. It's a process. That addiction can't just come one time. It comes over and over and over until the flows. So you must understand that your mind is the processor, it is the license, it is the operating officer of what your body wants. Your body can never get anything it wants if your mind is not in agreement. So to break that spirit, that desire, that thing that cripples you, that makes kings peasants, that makes great people ordinary, That makes people that should be the best in their field, in their marriage, in their life, they lose everything because their mind has married their body. So whatever their body says they want, their mind begins to say give it to them because the mind is a processor, is a protector, is an executor. So your mind tells you do it because your mind has shut down every consequence. Consequences. So to break that spirit, that voice, don't deal with the desire, don't deal with the vape or the weed, don't deal with all of those thoughts. Leave it alone. You cannot break a substance, an influence, a power by approaching the power. You break a power by a greater power. So you now begin to to work on your mind. Consume your mind with the thoughts of his word. Begin to process every day what God has said. Automatically, your mind, the addiction, the problem begins to lose its grip because the mind has moved on from that thing, from that desire, that drinking. So whenever your body says, I want it again, it gives it to your mind. There is a a protective edge in your mind to now say, no, that's not what I'm thinking. I'm thinking on God's word. He said, think of things that are good, things that are noble. So the thought pattern is where the breaking fault of that addiction begins, not just in your body, not just in abstinence. Abstinence is powerful, but it's powerless when there's a repeat addiction. So begin to fill your mind, consume your mind with the thoughts of God, consume your mind with the things of the Spirit. Read the Word, recite the Word, see the Word, walk on the Word. The whole thing, the whole system, the whole practice, the whole plane, dimensions of deliverance is to allow your mind to be rich in the will of God. So at the same time that you are Meditating on God's Word, I know it works. You can't think wealth and be broke. You think your way to manifestation. So at that moment, God's Word is now richly dwelling in you. You are meditating. It's easy for you to think of those thoughts and to engage yourself in the things that hold you You begin to think of God's Word. You meditate on it richly. It begins to flow powerfully, richly within you. Then your mind is now subject to God's Word. God cannot work absent His Word. But His Word is richly dwelling in your mind, then the spirit will not take control because the Word is the introducer of the spirit. You can't access the Spirit of God without the Word of God. He said, the words I speak to you, they are spirit. So when that Word is in you, it begins to manifest the spirit of God in you. The Spirit of God is not something we receive, it's something we are. But to access that realm, God's Word must richly dwell in you. It must consume you Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. You're not thinking about the addiction, but you are concentrated on God's Word. Then you begin to lose its power. Addiction will begin— that situation will begin to lose its power. Now what you need to begin to do at the same time, you begin to move to the realm of consecration, where you now concentrate yourself, separate yourself, separate yourself from the environment of your defeat, separate yourself from the environment of your addiction, separate yourself from the atmosphere of your addiction, the people, the connection you put on your phone, because when you see the numbers, it activates the desire. He said all things are now new. He said, if anyone has been in Christ, he's a a new creature. So your system is changed, your operating system is changed, the people around you is changed, people who you, who you bought from or you sold to or sold to you are no longer on your contact list. Then you begin to fast, concentrate yourself in an atmosphere of God. The mastery of God's presence sets forth the ministry of deliverance. You must walk in the spirit, not in the flesh. When you're walking, you cannot be in Spirit and be struggling with all these thoughts. No, you see, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. Walking in the Spirit, not in the flesh, means to live a life guided by the Holy Ghost, following His will, resisting the temptation of a sinful nature. It's a day-by-day walk. It's a ritual. Your desire can be changed. Depending on your choice. Lastly, don't believe the lies that these people tell you. You cannot be free. You cannot be free. See, nothing on earth is permanent except what you believe. I want you to run forth, practice, study this tape, and I'm telling you, your mind will be free from the things you no longer desire. God bless you.
