Hesed Ojieh compares ancient Israel's worship of Baal to modern believers who let worldly pressures dominate their faith. When you worry about rent or work extra hours instead of trusting God, you're serving the system of the world. The message: choose faith over fear.
No. So when Israel decided to— the prophets, they decided to obey the prophet of Baal, God sent Elijah to rebuke them. Look at me. How many times have you been worried that God will not meet that need? And you know why you are worried? Because you are serving the god of Baal. The god of Baal is the god of the system of the world. And when devil strikes your rent, you serve Baal. When devil strikes your rent, you work extra hours. When devil strikes your rent, you disobey God. Then use the same tongue to come back and pray.
