In this short, Hesed Ojieh confronts listeners with the idea that many Christians fail to grasp their true spiritual position. He distinguishes between power—gifted by God to overcome obstacles such as “snakes and scorpions”—and authority, the authorized right to exercise that power. Ojieh stresses that authority comes from a declared identity in Jesus, urging believers to speak affirmations like “in the name of Jesus, my tomorrow is better.” He argues that a quiet mouth leads to a quiet life, and that believers are already the “complete work of God,” lacking nothing. Any sense of lack creates slavery or a pursuer mindset, because everything needed for life and godliness has already been given. The core message is that identity is internal and must flow outward, not the other way around; understanding this internal divine identity unlocks the authority to act in power.

Chapters

The problem is that you don't understand your position. You must understand that your position is an authority, is an authority, because power has been given unto you. What you need is authority, the authority to execute the power. Power is useless without authority. Power is useless. You have power already. He said, I give you power to tread upon snakes and scorpions. But what you need is authority, the authorized certification, the authorized declaration to say in the name of Jesus. Arise and walk. Say in the name of Jesus, my tomorrow is better than where I am. You see, if your mouth is quiet, your life will be quiet. See, there is an identity. See, you can't make me what I'm not, and you can't add to— nobody can add to anything. See, you are completed. You're completed. You're the complete work of God. You're the complete work of God. You are complete. There's nothing missing. Because let me tell you, because if anything is missing, it makes you a slave and it makes you a pursuer. See, you got— you understand me now? So because anything that is outside of God makes you a pursuer and makes you a slave. Because all things are freely yours. There's nothing that God has not given you. He said, I've given you all things that pertains to life and godliness. So you have to understand, see, the problem is that you don't understand your position. You look through the lens of your struggles, your battle, the lens of the beating, the harassment, the things that you're facing to identify. Let me tell you, identity is not outward-inside. It is inside to the outward.
