I have, in fact, never had oatmeal. Five second home, Holly and Abby coming at you with another recipe. This is a family favorite for breakfast. Today we are making crock pot oatmeal. So it is currently Sunday night in our house and I just wanted to have warm breakfast in the morning. I'm not a morning person. I don't really get up and cook breakfast for my kids. But occasionally I will make oatmeal. If you remember, this isn't a big deal because half the time I forget this. But if you remember, give your crock pot a little kick. I don't like to smell that. No. All right, and then we're gonna start with our liquid ingredients first. So we've got I, one and a half cups of milk and one and a half cups of water. First thing that it calls for is one and a third cup of steel cut oats. And if you don't have steel cut, you can use the other kind. Sometimes I like to combine them, the instant ones. 3 tablespoons of butter, and you kind of want to like slice it up. So we're going to do a fourth. A teaspoon of salt, teaspoon of vanilla. We're gonna do a teaspoon. I love the smell of vanilla. Do you? I'm gonna go with half a teaspoon of cinnamon. Okay. And then it's gonna call for 6 tablespoons of brown sugar. The good thing about oatmeal is you can sweeten it afterwards. So sometimes I only put half the amount of sugar. Sometimes I use regular brown sugar. Sometimes I use stevia brown sugar. You really can't mess this recipe. I caught the cedar throw. I think that was four. Please be home. Oh, my gosh. Ah, I hate this. I might give these apples a little more of a chop here. So I'm gonna chop your apples into bite sized pieces. My recipe calls a cup of blueberries. I mean, you just put them in. I don't like to turn my crock pot on until like at no earlier than 10:30 at night because you just don't want it to overcook. Sometimes if it's like 7 or 8 o' clock at night and I've already made it, I'll just let it sit like this and then I'll set a timer on my phone for 10:30 or 11:00'. Clock. So I remember to go and turn the crock pot on right before. All right, we're done and I will show you what it looks like in the morning and we'll See you then. Well, good morning. It is Monday morning and breakfast was ready when we woke up. Abby, get a good look at this. It's going to look like this at first. You just want to give it a good serve. All right, let's get a big bowl of this. It's 7:42. We're gonna be eating our oatmeal in the car, but let's give this a taste. Careful, it's hot. What do you think? It's delicious. Help me. Help me. Try this recipe. Let me know in the comments. I hope you have a great Monday and make sure you like, subscribe, do all the. And we'll see you back here next time.
