We don't get to choose the people that God has placed in our lives and on our paths. We don't get to choose the family that we're born into, but we do get to choose how we see the people in our lives. And I know that the people in your life are messy. It's messy. And loving them is complicated. It's like the farthest thing from simple. What I'm asking you to do today, because I know there's history and there's pain and there's things that have been said and there's the way people always have acted. I get it. I'm just asking you to think. If you feel far from God, you might need to ask God to help you change the way you see his sons and daughters.
