This is a first-person YouTube cooking demo by Holly Furtick showing how to combine two of her recipes into a sausage, chicken, and Tuscan kale soup. She prepares and chops sausages, removes stems from Tuscan kale, sautés sausage with garlic in olive oil until browned, then adds chicken broth (she says "two cans, two cartons") and chicken, brings to a boil, seasons (pepper, salt, onion powder—speaker mentions a teaspoon and then "two teaspoons"), adds canned beans (she opens two cans but prefers about 1.5 cans), a half lemon, and a small amount of cream (notes coconut cream as a dairy-free alternative). Kale is added at the end and the soup is simmered briefly before tasting; the host encourages viewers to like, subscribe, and try the recipe.

This is my book going two cans, two cartons. The pepper got me. Master Steven, a watched pot never boils. Blueberries for a snack. I'm trying not to watch. Okay, take two. What's up, guys? Welcome back to my YouTube channel. Tonight, we are going to be making sausage chicken kale soup. I have these two recipes that I found in my recipe book that I keep at home, and I am going to combine them. We're going to start off with a package of sausages, and we're going to chop up these sausages into some nice little pieces. Now, I like to cut my sausages long ways first so that I can get even smaller little pieces. Now, we're gonna start by sauteing this with some garlic. Hold on. I'm going to move my camera. Now, before I move my camera, we might as well chop up the kale. This is Tuscan kale. This is what I prefer to put in soups because it's a really tough, thick kale. And so I think it holds up better in soups. So I'm just gonna cut the stems off. This is soup. I don't really want much of any stems. I really just want leaves. That should be good. When we're ready, we'll come back for the soup. Let's move the cameras. All right, now we are ready to make our soup. We've chopped our sausage. We've chopped up our kale. And I am going to get this sausage just going nice and brown. We're gonna add a little bit, give it a little bit of olive oil, some garlic, peeling the garlic. We're gonna add our garlic straight on top of our sausage. We want this sausage to get nice and brown and kind of greasy so that that grease will sort of steep into our chicken broth. This is for later. This is my yum. So our sausage is looking nice and browning with our garlic. And so we're gonna go ahead, put in our chicken broth. Gonna do two cans of these. Two cans, two cartons. Next, we're gonna add in our chicken. Bring that up to a boil. I'm gonna add pepper, salt, onion powder, teaspoon. Two teaspoons. I'll write it out for you. If your family likes onion, you can do the onion with the sausage if you want, like real onion. But there's certain people in my family who does not eat onions. Also Abby. But I wouldn't care. If Abby didn't like them, I'd still put them in. Sorry, Abby. Gonna let this come to a boil. Pepper got me a watched Pot never boils. I'm trying not to watch. Yay. It is boiling. Now let's add in our beans. This is two cans. I don't really like a ton of beans in the soups. Probably just more like one and a half. I don't want too many. A soupful of beans, half a lemon and I'm gonna give it a taste. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the kale. Good. Let's go with a little bit of cream. Just a little bit. Now if you're dairy free, you don't have to add cream or you can add coconut cream. I wanted to add coconut cream, but I cut it just a little bit. Even just for the colors. Let's taste it one more time. Little taste. Yum. We're ready to add the kale. Our soup is boiling. We got all the flavors that we want. We're gonna add in our kale at the last, at the end, let it cook through. All right, we're just gonna let this simmer. Turn it down, let it simmer for a minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes and then we'll be done. Alright, guys, our soup is done. So pretty. I'm just gonna make myself a little taste. Ooh, it's steaming. Alright, guys. Guys, it's delicious. You have to try this. Super easy if you like this recipe. If you give me a thumbs up, make sure you subscribe. Share it with someone. Share it with yourself so maybe you'll remember to cook it later. And I hope to see you back here next time. Hallefertick.com.
