YouTube reaction/cooking video by Holly Furtick in which she and a companion try to recreate an Instagram "no-fail" viral green bean recipe, fail, and review footage to diagnose mistakes. They used chopped, frozen green beans (instead of the long/uncut variety seen in the original), seasoned with olive oil, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and added bacon and Parmesan; the result was mushy/chewy and judged unsuccessful. The creator promises a follow-up green-bean pan‑sauté method video.

So the other day, I found a recipe on Instagram for these no fail green beans.
Tonight, we're making green beans to go with our dinner. So we're gonna try it.
And we failed. And we failed. And so we're gonna watch our footage back and see if we can figure out where we found what we did. Here we go.
I meant to get the ones that aren't cut up, but I accidentally got the ones that are cut up. So I'm sure they'll taste fine, only smaller, right?
Okay, first thing, they will not taste fine. Perhaps. I got the green beans in the video she had. They were like, the long. They weren't chopped up. And ours were chopped up. And hers were not frozen. No, hers were frozen. So I am Confucian. I do think this might have gone okay if we had used fresh green beans. But I think that the first fail was we brought the wrong kind. Frozen green beans.
We got olive oil. We got garlic powder. We got pepper.
Don't use too much pepper. Abby doesn't like pepper.
Got salt.
Measure with your heart.
Measure with your heart. The lady said on Instagram it wasn't.
The seasoning, because the seasoning tasted. Yeah, tasted fine.
Make it our own. Measure with love.
We definitely put love into them, but they still didn't turn out good.
I am gonna add some bacon that I found.
The bacon was. Yeah, good. Wait, did you see? Hold on. I gotta go back. Watch when I fluff them up. Right there. I hope we didn't eat any foil. Recipe is just bad all around.
We're gonna cook 400 for 30 minutes. All right, the green be done Parmesan on there. Stir them up.
So the green beans were done. We put the parmesan on. Look, Abby. All right, green beans, they weren't good. They tasted, like, bad. They were, like, mushy. They were, like, crispy. Chewy on the outside and nothing on the inside. They weren't good. So, guys, if you have tried this viral green bean recipe. No fail, no fail. Please let us know. I guess it was green beans that we bought. No, it has to be something else. But also, I'm gonna promise you another video. Now, I don't know when I have figured out a way to pan saute the green beans. You put a little bit of water and then let the water evaporate, and they are really good. So we'll post another green bean video. But for now, have fun watching us, but do not try this recipe at home. It was bad if you couldn't tell by my face. All right, we'll see you back here next time. Thanks for joining us. Bye, guys. Like it? If you like it.
