If you're working really, really hard to hear, listening fatigue is probably happening. I remember when I was in graduate school, we were doing a study and we were looking for normal hearing individuals, and there was actually someone who was in the graduate program who came in to be a normal hearing candidate, and she actually found out she had hearing loss. And the interesting thing with her is that what we found out is that she got the hearing aids and she said, "I'm not as tired anymore. I've been working so hard to hear and now I can hear better and it's just easy. I feel more energy throughout the day." If you're feeling very tired, maybe hearing loss is part of that equation. Get your hearing tested, you'll know more about whether that's an impact to you every day. When's the last time you had your hearing tested? Drop a comment below and let me know. If you haven't had your hearing tested within the last year, it's time.
