We understand that some days our bodies can tolerate something more than another day. Some days things get on your nerves that you let slide right off the other day, and that's okay. So it doesn't mean that it has to be always incrementally more, and it also doesn't mean that it has to be a specific time or a schedule. But what it does need to be is that you basically are not skipping an entire day. Skipping days basically throws you back in the dark another time. And then you got to go back through that, flip the light switch on again. If you think about people who say, "Well, I only wear my hearing aid one time a week when somebody is coming over," or, "I wear it one time when I go to a meeting or church," what's actually happening there is that your brain is actually more wired for the hearing loss than it is for the hearing aid.
