YouTube clip (host: Hunter Nelson) addressing ELD-exempt drivers and offering a workaround: HDVI can solve the need to install an ELD; if carriers request compatibility, drivers can connect a compatible device or purchase a compatible dash cam (vendors named: Motive, Samsara) to enable pay-per-mile tracking.
What if you are ELD exempt and you don't want an ELD anything on those lines? And these guys have really solved that problem with hdvi. If you guys do have compatible eld, they're gonna ask you. Connect it. Now. If you don't, they will still quote you. And then you guys will just have to buy a compatible dash cam. Like motive, Samsara, any of the other big, you know, big names out there that really will track you guys miles or anything like that, and then they will do the pay per mile, but with a twist.
