Hey guys, we just got access to a new insurance program. We're one of six agents in the nation have it. So if you guys want to hear about it, watch this video. Hey. So I'm Hunter with Nelson Insurance. We just got off the phone or my team just got the phone here with one of my reps here and they've got a new program coming out and it's on. This is a plus rated paper. This is through AmTrust. So if you guys don't know AmTrust, the big, big time insurance company, they're number three in the nation for workers comp. They're a huge commercial insurance company and they do a lot of trucking anyways so they, they know the space here pretty dang well. AmTrust really likes a lot of preferred fleets but these guys will kind of loosen up a little bit. So you want your preferred business. So like if you're, hey, got my CDL yesterday starting up with my truck. Let's go hit up these guys. This is not it. But to go over some of the perks here with some with this new insurance company, like why I'm so excited about it for you guys is 10 down payment. So it's only 10 down. They'll do weekly payments. So it's paying, it's paid to the insurance company. So you're not going to go need to get a premium finance company, pay 20 down, get you know, screwed with all these taxes and fees. Just, just a headache there, right? So weekly payments available, pay per mile. So that's pretty dang sweet. You've got symbol one, which I'm sure most of you guys don't know what it means, but symbol 1 is going to be like the opposite of what 99% of insurance companies are doing where hey, your truck's on the policy, it's covered. It's not covered until you get confirmation from the underwriter that truck's on the policy and you paid your again down payment for that new truck being added. So simple one, yes, you still have to report your trucks being added, but it covers any auto. So you know if you got somebody where there's a claim for an employee driving a personal auto to work or running quick errands, stuff like that, it's going to be covering that. And again they just want you to report it. But it's probably gonna be monthly reporting. So it's not like hey, this second I got a confirmation. Can't touch this thing until it's driving, you'll be sitting a lot better. So it's Any auto. So you're gonna get a lot better stuff there. These guys, you know, they're gonna take your cargo vans, your box trucks, your semis, anything like that. And so, yeah, I mean, there's, there's all the perks right off the bat. I mean, I'm sure you guys are like, heck yeah, that is awesome. I mean, was pretty dang excited about it. Weekly payments, 10 down pay per mile. So if you're growing and like, hey, you got a couple trucks in the, in the shop, I can't, you know, you're gonna still have to pay for insurance on those things whether you like it or not. So, you know, with these guys, it's, if it's not driving, it's, you don't have to pay for it. So. Oh, the one thing I want to say on this too is most of these pay per mile programs, like the real popular one is canal insurance. They only do pay per mile in your auto liability. So once again, you know, you have auto liability and you got general liability. Auto liability is covering you in the truck. General liability is covering you doing business operations outside the truck. So like if you do a ratchet strap over and hit somebody, you know, or you got sued for advertising or something. So these guys will do pay per mile on your cargo, your general liability and your auto liability. Pretty wicked. Only thing you're gonna be paying like a fixed rate for is your physical damage because you know, if the truck's sitting, it can still get hailed on you still kind of catching fire. So it's stolen, stuff like that. So that's kind of their deal there. So definitely, definitely a big perk, you know. So who is this, who is this program really for here? This is, like I said, it's not for your guy who. Hey, got my CDL yesterday and my uncle gave me some money to start the trucking business. Like, it's, it's not, it's not your newbie guys, unfortunately. Yeah, I wish, I wish there was, was an option for that, but these guys want three plus years in business. And I'm going to say this, but there's going to be some, you know, some, some exceptions to here, but three plus years of business is pretty dang. That's kind of set in stone. Pretty much two plus years of CDL experience, which is, you know, pretty dang standard, but there's gonna be a little bit of an exception to that. And then it's gotta be dry van. So I mean, even if you're reefer, your flatbed, anything like that unfortunately not. This whole program was really built around Amazon haulers, but they are getting into, you know, other stuff too. So if you're doing, you know, you're just doing drive van warehouse to warehouse, you're sitting good. So these guys, because it's built on Amazon, it's got a little bit weird, you know, regulations. So, like, if you're hauling warehouse to Walmart, they're not going to take you. So they don't want any of that retail space there. But they, you know, because, I mean, it's not last mile, but like in this, this program, it's considered last mile for them. So then warehouse, warehouse, warehouse, distributor, you know, manufacturer to warehouse, whatever the case is. Right. You just can't be at its final point of destination where it's the home, the retailer, whatever that stuff. So it's called the Middle Mile program. And yeah, so pretty dang solid. So really built around Amazon guys. And you know, Amazon, if you're getting contract with Amazon, they're going to be pushing you to grow as fast as possible. So big thing you guys are also going to run to is my insurance company doesn't like me growing this fast. So if you're with Progressive, yeah, they'll let you grow pretty dang quick. Progressive definitely can cancel people for growing too fast. You know, it's. They're going to be a lot more lenient on it than most companies. But, you know, progressives can be scheduled autos. If you don't get confirmation from your insurance agent that truck's on the policy, it's not gonna be covered. You know, Progressive is going to just be a lot more expensive, but they're going to be anywhere from 10 per. I mean, if you have an 800 credit score, you might be 10 down, but some are typically first and last payment down for your insurance and then maybe 20% if your credit's not so hot, Progressive will net. Definitely not do paper mile. They definitely will not bill you weekly. You know, so there is that. And typically their down payment is gonna be more than 10 down. So that's kind of like where a lot I see, I see a lot of these guys. But the big thing with Progressive is too is they're gonna cap out at 30 trucks. When I just talked to my rep, he said that they wrote an account that was 171 trucks like a couple weeks ago. So if you go from 10 trucks, so in the program, and then, you know, pretty soon you're at 100 trucks, they're not really going to care. I Mean obviously to an extent, if you go out on 200 trucks in one day, you know, you're gonna have to have a pretty dang explanation, pretty good explanation for that. But they're pretty dang lenient. So if you're adding on tens of trucks a year, just a couple a month, you know, get up to there gonna be you're pretty be pretty sin pretty good. So that way you're sin happy with progressive or you said happy or you sent good with with Amazon there, you know, and Amazon's got all those sort of coverages that you guys need. You know, you're gonna have to have general liability, you're gonna have to have auto liability, you're gonna have to have 100000 cargo. And the last coverage you require is at least 50000 in trailer interchange or not on trailer physical damage. These guys, these guys are a plus rated which Amazon does not even require. But they're gonna, but they're gonna allow you to get all those coverages. They're gonna allow you to get occupational accident if you guys have 1099 drivers. They're gonna allow you to get workers compensation if you have W2 drivers. And you wanna make sure. Well, some states are gonna require that you have workers comp. Some states are gonna say like North Carolina, if you have four plus employees, you have to have work comp. And you know, states like Nebraska, if you get caught without work comp, they're gonna find you like there's absolutely no to. So a lot of you guys are gonna need work comp especially if you're growing. So these guys will do work comp for you. It's all one bill, it's all paid weekly. So they'll do all that coverage for you. They'll do the physical damage obviously, you know, and then they're gonna have the rental reimbursement. They're gonna have all sorts of those sweet little perks on there where hey, your truck's sitting down, you're not gonna be paying a crap ton of stuff out of pocket. They'll even allow you if you guys are getting big and maybe you're too new for a captive or anything on those lines. They will even allow you to put a high deductible so you can on everything on the auto liability and all sorts of stuff. So that way, you know, if somebody's going in there and turning in claims and you're like, gosh, this is a $2,000 claim. I don't want this to be put on my insurance. As an at fault accident. Well guess what? If you get a 5k deductible on there, boom. Insurance won't even look at it. Hey, it's under deductible. You deny it right away, really won't hardly affect you. Boom. You pay it out of pocket and you're sitting pretty dang good there. So these guys are made all day long for Amazon haulers. If you guys are an Amazon hauler, this program is awesome. I mean that's just again the weekly payments. Your truck's broken down, it's paid per mile and it's on most your coverages. So I'm paying is the physical damage. And if you want physical damage, great, you don't have to worry about a single frickin bill. There's the other thing too is I forgot to come back to this. Here is the drivers. You know I know that growing really quick and finding good drivers can be tough, especially ones that are two year plus CDL and you're hey, I gotta grow, I gotta hire dang near anybody I can. They will allow about 20% of your drivers be under 2 year CDL. So they're not one year. Hey got my CDL yesterday but they'll take, you know, hey, I got a year, you know something on those lines for cdl. They're good drivers driver. So we'll take that, you know, so you'll be sitting good there and yeah, so that way you at least can hire some of those new drivers. And the other thing too with it is, is they'll allow Gen Z drivers. So that's kind of their, they call it Gen Z program. I'm gonna be honest, it really won't apply to 99 of you guys watching this. They'll allow 20 year old drivers on the policy but the 20 year old driver if they're under, you know, 23. So 2020-23 they gotta be driving a box trucker below and then they gotta be within a 50 mile radius. So you know if you're you're truck, tractor, doing long haul, it ain't really gonna work yourself. They're 23 year old drivers at very least. But at least you get a couple, couple of drivers in there that are under two year cdl. So fantastic program.
