Angie Carrillo pitches Lix, which teaches programming and robotics to Latin American youth in their native language. Hannah, one student, went from facing a future as a hot-dog vendor to winning an international robotics competition in three months. Over 100 million young people in the region lack access to technical education, and Lix's hybrid model combines online courses with a selective bootcamp, offering capital during training and job placement for a 10% income share.

Hi, my name is Angie. I'm co-founder of Lix. We're a robotics and programming bootcamp. And she's Hannah. She's one of our students. She was on to become the same thing as her mother, a hot dog vendor. But through our program, she discovered her passion for robotics and programming. And 3 months into our program, she won an international robotics competition and became the first Latin American to win this competition. Like her, there are over 100 million young people, they're dying to get this knowledge, but there are little resources in the language they speak. This has created a growing digital gap, an unsatisfied demand for technical jobs, and also 40% of high schoolers, they drop out of school to work and help their families. That's why we created Lix. LiX is a programming and robotics boot camp that teaches kids robotics and programming. What we basically do is we, we give our students access to money while they're getting trained to help them find a job afterwards. So the students sign up for the online paid course, then we hand-select the best 50 students for our physical boot camp. Physical boot camp. We provide them access to capital while they're in the boot camp, and then we help them find a job and take 10% of their salary for 2 years. I have a great team, and together we put this curriculum for the last 2 years, and we already taught 200 kids. She's Hannah doing her first TEDx talk. And with your help, we can create more success stories like Hannah. Today we're asking for $50K in funding, most importantly partnerships and allies that want to hire our students, and an introduction to these accelerator programs. So thank you very much, and now I would like to open it up for any questions that you may have.
