Google Ads again changed all basic options when you create new campaign. I used to choose particular type of campaign when I created a campaigns inside Google Ads. I could choose Search, Demand Gen, PMax, Google Display Network, Apps campaign, and so on. But today, if I am Trying to create a new campaign and I choose "I don't know my objective" as always. Instead of campaign types, I can see "Where do you want to run ads?" Basically, I know where because I have 18 years of experience in Google Ads. But for millions of advertisers, it's absolutely unobvious what should I choose. And in this video, I will tell you how exactly choose the type of campaign that you need. First, if you need search campaign, classic search campaign, just leave one checkbox, Search, and choose Text Ads. In this case, you will have the classic standard search campaign. If you need shopping ads, standard shopping ads, the same. Search— where do you want to run ads? Search. And you choose Shopping Ads. In this case, Google will create the Standard Shopping campaign. Next one, if you need Performance Max, you need to choose All Channels, choose Conversions— it's important— and for Performance Max with Product Feed. You leave this checkbox and you need to connect your product feed. In order to create Performance Max without feed for lead gen purposes, you just uncheck this checkbox and continue with campaign creation. And the most unobvious part— how to create demand gen campaign, demand generation campaign? In order to create demand generation campaign, you need to uncheck Search. Leave the Conversion. Press Continue. Demand gen campaign. Of course, like for me, it's not so obvious, but it's logical. But for millions of advertisers who even don't know the difference between between Demand Gen and Performance Max. How can they know about difference that in Performance Max you have all 5 Google channels, in Demand Gen you have only 4 Google channels? But Google changed it. So if you need to create Demand Gen, choose 4 of them without search. If you need to create app campaign, choose ad promotion over search.
