James Blackwell, CEO of Ronald James Recruitment, is converting Northumbria House into serviced offices for tech startups and small businesses in the northeast. The building will have two- and four-person units with a games room, meeting spaces, and kitchens downstairs. A few offices already have deposits.
Hi, I'm James Blackwell, I'm the CEO here at Ronald James Recruitment. So I wanted to share a video around the property that we purchased. So Northumbria House is our home to Ronald James and also what we've tried to create here is some serviced office accommodation for tech startups. So we're actually looking for new members to join the office. So that's anyone that is in the northeast region that maybe has got a tech team up here or wants to build a tech team up here. We're trying to create quite a cool environment where we can collaborate. So whether it's a team of small pot of developers that you want to base here or someone within a digital sector, I think that could be quite a good opportunity for any type of company that wants to get started. So up here is going to be the tech service office space. So this is going to be applicable to startups or even not necessarily startups. So if you're in a business and you've got a small business or you're just starting up freelancing, this space could be quite useful for you. So at the minute it's in still renovation stage so I just thought I'd give you a sneak peek. It's not ready yet but it gives you an idea of like the type of thing that we're creating. So got a couple of rooms that are almost finished, got the desk in here, we are getting different chairs for the the space. But this would be between probably a two person office in here. So this is just pretty much nearly renovated. Once you get the blinds up, etc that'll be quite cool. In here is going to be a four person office. So again we've renovated, giving it the brick effect, new carpets, everything painted, new lights and it's quite, quite bright here as well. So you get a lot of sun through the windows. So it's always like working in bright environments. I think Kobe likes it if Drock checks him out. So those two are available. We have had two deposits already on a couple of spaces and units and then the rest of the units are along this corridor. So again, beware of the mess because we haven't really done much yet apart from a bit of painting. The lighting is not done yet. Couple of rooms are sort of getting refurbed but it gives you an idea. I mean the, the condition it was in beforehand was very, very dated and not the best. So we're going to make it a lot better than it is. So we've got rooms like this again, one, one or two desks again Beware of the mess. But it's a great environment because you're going to have your office up here and we've got quite a few units. Again, still not renovated at the moment, but the downstairs space that we're creating is going to be a games room, there's going to be chill on areas, going to be meeting rooms, kitchens. So it is going to be quite cool and I'm quite excited about this project as well. So although I run a recruitment business day to day, I really love property. So property is one of the most, the biggest things. When I've surrounded myself with a lot of different millionaire mentors and studied a lot of people. 90% of millionaires are made in property. So it's outrageous statistics. So if you think that you're hustling away in your business day to day, most people are making their money in property or at least using their business to cash flow their property empire. So that's going to be my vision over the next 5, 10, 15, 20 years, is using a lot of our profits in the business to invest in hopefully my property empire one day.
