This is a YouTube video titled "James Blackwell - How to hire Talent without using Job Ads!" featuring James Blackwell providing advice on cost-effective recruitment strategies, emphasizing free advertising options like Google Jobs and optimizing job adverts on company websites. The content is a monologue focused on marketing and hiring tactics, recorded in July 2019.
So a lot of companies are wasting money on adverts and my advice to you would be save that money because that needs to be spent elsewhere in a different marketing effort to attract that talent. Now you can still put adverts on your website because that's free and I know there's still sites in terms of indeed that will be free as well but also the advert could go on Google Jobs which again is free. So if you are putting an advert out on your website if you can get your developer, the person that manages your website to make sure that you followed Google's algorithm to how an advert should look with the correct salary, location etc. Eventually you can work on getting those on Google Jobs and that's pretty much a free advertisement. So if someone's googling for a job they'll see that. Now I don't think you'll get many hires from particular adverts but again it could be one part of the wheel.
