Managing Time Effectively | Entrepreneur James

Entrepreneur James shares his morning routine to stay sharp while scaling: meditation, journaling, walking his dog Kobi without his phone, reading business content. He keeps his phone charged downstairs overnight and starts work with a clear plan, arguing the founder is the business's most important asset.
Work life balance is always a tricky one. So I've went from owning a lifestyle business and having a great work life balance in terms of lifestyle and earning a great income. When I first started Ronald James probably for the first two two and a half years but then I realized my goals are bigger so I need people to really elevate my goals. If I want to get to £100 million worth of net worth by the age of 40, I've got to hire a lot of staff and I've got to put in a lot of hustle as well as working smarter. I need both. But in terms of client management for sure, like you want to be really, you need to protect yourself because you will get burnt out. So you are the asset. If you're no good then the business is no good. So you have to be able to switch off very, very important. I mean there's big talks around mental health at the moment. So for me like I meditate in the morning, morning times are very important to me. So I get up my schedules, I get up between 6am and probably quarter past six in the morning. I meditate straight away. So that's the first thing I do before anything I meditate for 20 to 30 minutes so that gets my head in the right zone. Sometimes I like to journal or I might spend A good tip is spending 10 minutes just writing your thoughts down and ideas for the day Works quite well. And then I will take Kobe for a walk. So important thing I did as well I never check my phone anymore so I have my phone, I've changed, I bought another proper alarm clock and I've took the phone out of the bedroom so that's away on charge downstairs. So I don't touch the phone from normally around half eight, nine o' clock at night and I don't touch it in the morning when I get up. So first thing I do is meditate. First take Kobi for a walk but I don't take the phone with me so I'll have a nice. It's normally about a half an hour walk and it's thinking time all of the time because you get so many thoughts in your brain you want to have a clear focus for the day and start that day off well. Then I'll get back, I'll make a healthy breakfast smoothie with all the great nutrients in as well and then I'll spend probably 20 minutes, half an hour either reading a book or I'll watch either a YouTube video round about business, personal development, something because I enjoy doing that and then obviously, I'll come into the office. But by the time I get in the office, I've got my day plan ready, and I'm ready for the day as well.
