Recruitment Owners Mindset

James Blackwell explains how to scale a business by upgrading your habits, routine, and environment. He walks through his own changes: office setup, stand-up desk, morning smoothie, and daily goal planning. Higher revenue requires becoming a different person.
Hello everybody. James Blackwell here. In today's video, I was going to give you an insight into the entrepreneur's mindset. When you start out as an entrepreneur and a business owner, what got you to where you did when you first started will not get you to where you want to get to. That is six figures, seven figures and beyond. You have to learn to change your habits, your routine and your environment. So these are the top three things that in my training program. I did quite an in depth video tutorial on this for the members in the program around your mindset and how we need to change the mindset, your limited beliefs that you currently have from your current situation to your desired situation. So a bit like your current life now and your desired life where you want to get to in the next three to five years yourself. Like the version 1.0 of you needs to change and upgrade to 2.0. So the person, when I look back when I first started my agency is a totally different person. Both personality, who I hang around with, where I live, the interests that I enjoy, my hobbies, the way I create my habits every day and the goals have changed so much and so dramatically over those five years. And the key three things that you should take away from this video to change your entrepreneurial mindset is your environment. So in your environment, it is your workspace where you work. So have you, if you working from home, have you got a great office environment? Have you got a good desk set up? Are you, have you got the right type of equipment? So I, I upgrade to a brand new MacBook Pro 16 inch because I know I'm going to be using that every single day. So it's very important that I've got something that works and is powerful and I enjoy doing, investing in a good office chair, a good desk. Mine's a stand up desk when I work at home and obviously you've seen my office environment at Ronald James headquarters at Northumbria House. But the environment that you surround yourself with. So are you in a positive environment with positive people, no negative, no negativity allowed. I always say in my office negativity stops at the door. So do not bring any negativity into the office. So that's important in terms of your environment, of the type of environment you want to create and your future self as well. The second thing is habits. So are you installing? Well, it's quite linked to your routine as well. So your routine is one thing and then you need to install that routine as habits. So your routine, are you getting enough sleep so do you get eight plus hours sleep per night? Quality sleep is very important, especially as an entrepreneur. It's very stressful and it's important you get your sleep. Are you having the right type of foods? Are you eating fast food all the time? Are you drinking all of the time on the weekends? These type of things the successful people do not do. The successful people get enough sleep, they do not consume alcohol every day of the week. Yes, it's okay now and again, let your hair down and enjoy yourself, but not consistently. Are you putting the right type of foods in your body? I start off in the morning with the breakfast smoothie with green vibrance, I think it's called. Actually I'll show you. And that's like this, the staple diet with my porridge every morning. And it sets me up to win and it makes sure that I'm quite healthy. So this is the green vibrance that I use. Zoom in. So it's like a plant based superfood, really good. I've been using it for years now, so probably about five years. Mix up with protein powder, a banana, some fruit, a little bit of oats and some water. Get it blended in a nutribullet and that starts my day off right. And then habits. So are you creating the right type of habits in the environment every day? So phone technology off after 9 o' clock to get into bed. Are you planning tomorrow today? So are you actually planning what you're going to achieve the next day? Are you writing these goals down the night before to make sure they happen? So let me know what your entrepreneurial routine is. You drop a comment in below and hopefully you found it useful.
