The Real Secret to Building Wealth in 2025

James Blackwell breaks down wealth-building into two things: volume and difficulty. He traces his path from recruitment agencies to AI ventures, arguing you need to invest time repeatedly in your craft and deliberately take on harder challenges to scale.
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, James Blackwell Here in today's video, I'm sharing the real secret to building wealth. Now, most people over complicate the wealth building part of your life. And I'm going to reveal the two things that really I used the exact formula to build multiple businesses that I've created the wealth that I've created today and helped other business owners do the exact same. So it's simple, it's actionable, and it works for any business. So stay tuned. I'm going to reveal the approach and how it works to give you the success that you want to create in 2025. So in my early days of wealth building and the journey, I actually started my career in recruitment many years ago. And I started and I earned $1,000 when I first started my business as the first commission on a placement. And that was so crazy low back then, when I think about it. But it created that momentum. And when you look at like time and effort you've invested. For me it was the next four years. I was learning everything I could about scaling a recruitment business. So I was learning about systems sales, branding, marketing, social media, building a team, hiring a culture, creating an office. All of these key things started to compound in my early journey of growing a business. So when I launched my first business, I launched my first business. And in the first year we hit 500k in revenue in my first year. So it started off slow, like the first few weeks, and then it just started gathering momentum. And then by year three, we were consistently doing around about 2 million a year with a team of 10 to 12 people in the office here in my business, Ronald James, as you can see. And then from there I learned all of these things over that four to five year journey. And I really, for what I thought, like I would say, mastered a few core principles which was trying to do things more cutting edge, more new than the traditional way and methodology of scaling an agency. So then I expanded into mentorship. So I learned from many mentors and then I got to a point where I could prove the concept and I started teaching others what I'd learned in scaling my own recruitment agency. So at first that was really, really hard because I was trying to convince clients and business owners to pay me for mentoring. And at the start that was quite tough. And for the first few months I was trying to figure it all out. So then you had to learn new things. So I was learning about scaling with ads, writing email copy, creating the course content, the program, delivering things on Q and A format, and one on one. So all of those things, creating a brand new brand, putting myself out there outside my comfort zone. So creating video content, social media. And that was quite tough at the start, but it didn't at the start come close to my current agency income. But then after I started learning, like I said, things about branding, sales, building a sales team, building a set of team, all of these different things and components, I started to grind away and improve on that. And then I built my credibility. I started getting clients great results and making them an extra 100k, 200k, whatever it was, and creating a great track record and then I started to master that. So soon the education business started outperforming my agency which, which was great for growth and that generates multiple millions a year now. And I've really scaled that up over the last four to five years. And then I've started scaling with new ventures. So then I launched two other recruitment agencies called Remote Remote Assistance AI and that placed like marketing VAs and operations VAs into those businesses. And now they are both seven figure businesses in their own right. So the real secret to building wealth is volume plus difficulty. So every step of your journey should be boiled down to two things. The time invested, which is the volume, and then the challenges you took on, which is the difficulty. So when you compound both of those things, that's when you're going to build true wealth. So if you're not good at what you're doing to make serious money, the solution is simple. You just need to do it way more. You need to, you need to learn way more and put in more hours and you better, you'll get better with every single attempt. It's the same. For instance, I took backup golf recently, so it's more golf balls you hit, like working on your technique, the way you strike the ball, all of these things, the patience and mindset, all of these things that go into you creating your own wealth, it comes down to those two key things. So in my agency I made countless calls, video outreach, follow ups. I was handling objections after objection. I was refining my pitch. I had to travel pretty much all over the northeast to try and win clients. I was coming back and trying to be good enough to succeed. And then you start leveling up as an entrepreneur. So the difficult thing I see is most entrepreneurs, when they hit seven figures or let's say they make the first million and then 2 and 3 million, they get really comfortable where they are once they hit a certain income and then they stop really challenging themselves and they stay stuck at the Same level for years. So you'll start to see entrepreneurs creep up, then all of a sudden they disappear or they just plateau. And that's one thing that comes with, like, creating that bigger vision for yourself, because you want to take on bigger challenges, surround yourself with other people that are ahead of you still in the game, that inspire you to want to create more and make more and grow more companies and, and create more wealth. Not just for you, for your team, your partners, and everything else. So when I mastered recruitment, for example, in the recruitment agency world, I moved into mentoring and education. And then that brought me a completely different challenge and pushed me to grow even more. Because as some of you know, that are in the education space, it's tough. It's not just as easy as creating a course. And all of a sudden you make millions. It's very, very competitive, very tough because you're mastering a lot of things. And once I, let's say like, really nailed that and start making multiple millions a year with that, it was making sure that I had my next challenge. So what is my next challenge? So that was like creating remote assistance AI and helping companies scale with. Placing these into companies so they can scale up with their own personal assistant, their own marketing assistant, their own operations assistant. And they can do that really lean with the remote team and for such a lesser cost than hiring people in an office, for example. But you really need to look at your current effort. Like, have you truly put in enough time in the business to really master it and master your current craft? Or are you trying to shortcut that success because you're seeing people online all of the time, but you need to audit your current effort. Like, be true to yourself. Have you really put in enough time and effort to really master your craft? Because if not, you need to double down on volume, you need to double down on the effort that you're putting in. Because you might see people on social media and everything else that look successful, but trust me, I've met quite a few of them. Not everyone is really making the money they claim they are. They have the perception of this, okay? And the ones that truly make that money, they have really mastered their craft. They've put in the hours. Like, I know, speaking from experience, I've been over 10 years in the game. This is my actual, real agency, Ronald James, that I founded almost a decade ago. My. My education company. I have lot of remote employees, so we don't have a physical office like this. But I would say I've mastered my craft in the niche that I am in. So then I can actually educate other people. And once I've educated other people, I know I've got the skill to create my software product and remote assistance AI. You always want to have a next challenge as well. So for instance, if you're just in the startup world or if you're in an agency right now or a business, let's say you're selling small services, could you take the leap of selling like large scale retainers or consultant packages or AI packages? So in the new year I'm going to be launching a brand new program about how you can implement AI into as an agency, you can charge these monthly retainers and you can place these operations vas into those companies and the marketing vas to help other businesses scale. So combining volume and difficulty, that's where the magic happens. And you need to really drill down into. You need to be relentless. Success doesn't happen overnight. You're always going to have consistent challenges, but that's where the growth happens. And when I launched my education business, I started with volume. So I was doing lots of free webinars, I was doing one on one phone calls, I was taking sales calls, I took a thousand sales calls myself before I hired my first closer. I hired SDRs, I did all of the outreach myself, I did all of the ads myself, I did all the branding myself, the marketing, the fulfillment, building the program, all of these things. And then I scaled up and hired a team. So I have a team in operations now, I have a team in fulfillment, I have customer success managers, I have sales Reps, I have SDRs. All of these different departments I had now but at the start wasn't like that. So volume and difficulty applies to every single business model. So whether you're in e commerce, coaching, SaaS, whatever it is, you need to master the basics and then you need to make sure you're pushing yourself to tackle harder challenges. Because the reason that works is mastery comes from repetition. So when mastery comes from repetition, wealth comes from taking those risks and solving the bigger problems. And you will always be rewarded for the bigger the problem that you solve. So I hope you found that video useful. Ladies and gentlemen, let me know in the comments what it is that you're specializing in in terms of your niche, your marketing or whatever, and what volume and difficulty you're putting into that and what you would like to learn from me next. So until next time, I'll catch you soon.
