Hello everybody. In today's episode, I just wanted to give you an update what I've been doing the last couple of weeks. So as you all know, we all are on sort of a lockdown at the moment with current outside events. What I took this time to do was when we are adapting and working from home, I have been working on my inner self a lot more. So I'm a big believer in everything happens for a reason. And we've been given this time and there's two ways you could look at it. So you could look at it quite depressingly and you're losing a lot of business and the world is pretty much ending or you can use this as a time to actually work on your inner self. So God might have given this reason to Instead of the busy day to day world, everyone's on the phone all of the time. Social media, going out, doing stuff, busy being busy. This time is the time to spend by yourself reading books of wisdom. So I've been reading a lot on the type of stoic type of quotes and Marcus Aurelius Meditations is another book I've been reading and just really elevating my levels of consciousness because what I found over the last few months I was busy being busy making money, making more money, growing the business. So I was only really learning and adapting from the business and the financial side. And a lot of like the inner work of myself I sort of put to the wayside probably the last few months. And so there was probably an uneven kilter between just doing the work and just always driving and going round on the hamster wheel. Now I've had a chance to just reflect and look back on things. This is a quality time to work on yourself. So not just your inner self, but personal development as well. So you've never had a time where you could literally be at home. So if you haven't started your own agency yet or your own business, you might have been put on furlough or been put on an 80% salary reduction, but use that time to invest in yourself and look into personal development and better your skills. So whatever you want to do in your life and your goals, these are the times that you can reflect on yourself and write down your goals and what you need to do. Reverse engineer what you need to do to get there. Reading like some classic books. So I'm reading a lot of Robin Sharma is a really good author around, he has some great books around. The Monk who Sold the Ferrari was the first one read of Robbins. So check those type of books out because they are quite easy reads but good stories around. There's more to life than money and financial Working a lot on my health recently as well. So I'm a big believer in drinking green juices, smoothies in the morning, vitamins and really boosting our immune system up. So are you doing those type of things but are you doing those consistently or just because of the events that have happened? Switching off from all of the news So I haven't watched the news. I never really watch the news for the last four or five years anyway because I know how bad the media portray things and it's just a negative loop and cycle. So obviously you can't help but to see what's going on. So tips that I've done is like I try and unsubscribe from a lot of the updates and channels. I haven't looked at the news for the last two weeks and I feel really good about it because watching different death rates every day and panic and anxiety and a lot of negativity, it's just no good for your mental health and mental well being as well. So take these times just to not check your phone all the time. Work on your personal development, work on your inner self. I'm going to post in the comments below like a couple of other books that have really worked for me. Another one is called Power vs Force by Dr. David Hawkins and he's a quite famous psychologist around instead of using brute force to get where you want to be in your life and in the mindset of making everything happen by me, power is around law of attraction and actually having that energy within yourself to attract everything that you want in life. So that's another good book that I would check out, but I'd probably start off on the Robin Sharma books first because they're quite an easy read. Another book that I've read this week was the Enlightened Gardener, which is the third time I've read that book by Sid Banks. Again, very famous psychologist. I think he's Scottish, then moved to Canada. His books are fantastic, really nice reads and make you think a lot more about life and what it entails. And then in terms of business, business has been going still really well. Fortunately Touchwood we had a lot good clients with retained business and exclusive business. So we have not had the impact of a lot of other agencies. And yes we've been in a good sector which is technology. So a lot of the roles you can interview remotely on board remotely and a lot of the tech people can pretty much Work from home anyway. So that's been a positive thing and I'm really excited about the next few weeks when all of this blows over. We'll be in a really strong position where we've really looked at different processes, how we work within the business, a few more products in our service offerings as well. So it's a great time when we go back to market that you can have that opportunity where it is a pretty much level playing field now because a lot of the bigger competitors I've seen, unfortunately for them, they've had to let a lot of people go make a lot of redundancies because they were pretty much on their cash flow either running 1, 2, 3 months in the bank cash flow. Like I said before, you need to have a really good war chest financially to make sure you can stand the test of these times. Now when you're starting up or if you're thinking about starting your own agency, this is the moment you've been waiting for. Like no excuses because there's always onside events that are going to happen. You've never had a better time. If you have been say put on furlough now to invest in yourself personal development, invest in the course, learn from a mentor and actually build these building blocks now when the market's ready to pick up again. So yeah, just thought I would share my thoughts. The last couple of weeks I've literally just been in my home office hustling away. I probably worked even more being at home because you're just non stop. But it's been good and this is like our third week now so I am looking forward to getting back in the office with the team. But like I said, we need to learn to adapt. As Charles Darwin always says, it's not the strongest that survive, it's the ones that are adaptable to change. So you need to take this time as a sign and a message to actually change how you your outlook on life. And also take this time to take control of your own life and invest in your inner self, invest in your personal development and if you were thinking about pulling the trigger and taking a risk, do it. Because there's never been a better time. Because when the markets do pick up, and they will pick up in a few weeks, you've got to be prepared. So thanks for watching.
