deep ways and things that, you know, for somebody else who might be listening to your story, they would hear what you went through and they're like, big deal, his dad was a drunk, you know, but that's, they're equating their own life and experience to your story, right? To you in that moment, in that time with all the other aspects of your life in place, it was deeply wounding for you. And it was forming you to use this practice of coping with porn, right? That when your life got stressful in the future, you would replay that that tape, right? And then when you felt worthless or afraid, you know, or angry like you did with your dad, then you would revert right back to the porn, right? And we all have these, right? And it's not always porn. Sometimes it's overeating, or it's, you know, drinking like your dad, like he was coping for something, man, something was going on that made him feel worthless. And he went to the bottle, you know, during that time. And so this is everybody in the world. That is going through what we're talking about here because we live in a fallen world. And until you find these core wounds that you're describing, you are never going to— you're just going to be white-knuckling and it's never going to do any good. You'll go for maybe a year or two like you did, but then you're going to fall eventually when the stressors arise and that wound gets reopened again. And so you're talking about actually dealing with the wounds of your life.
