Jameson Camp breaks down ultra-rich spending: mega-yachts at Monaco rent for $4 million a week, or $16 million a month. He compares that to a typical 401(k) to show the gap between average people and the ultra-wealthy, then previews how Knicks finals tickets can cost more than a house.
You would be floored by how much money the ultra wealthy actually have because it's way more than you would ever believe. Look at this. Monaco Grand Prix is happening right now and there is a harbor full of mega yachts just like this. Look at how much they cost to rent. $4 million a week for some. That'd be $16 million a month. And that's actually the low end. I spoke to some people about this and this is just the ones that cannot fit inside the harbor to actually be next to the race. I can promise you that squirreling away money in your 401 is not getting you anywhere near that. Tomorrow we'll talk about how expensive some of the Knicks tickets for the finals cost more than a house.
