In this segment of the daily Ableton Live 12 class, J. Anthony Allen introduces two new aspects of Live 12. First, he explains Ableton Cloud, a brand‑new feature that will allow users to synchronize Live sets across multiple computers or collaborators, keeping projects in sync via the cloud. Although he has not yet used it, he describes its intended purpose and expresses anticipation. Second, he details the Push 3 hardware controller, highlighting its two operating modes: a traditional controller mode that connects to a computer, and a standalone mode that contains its own hard drive and a built‑in version of Live, allowing it to run without a computer. He demonstrates how, in standalone mode, users can drag and drop files or sets directly onto the Push. He notes that his own Push is not a standalone unit, so it does not appear in the standalone interface, but he shows how one would access those features if a standalone Push were available.
