How's it going everybody? My name is Jacob and I'm going to be your instructor for this class. And I just want to welcome you to our FL Studio 20 course. Really quickly. I just wanted to give a thank you to all of you and everybody over at Punkademic for giving me the opportunity to be able to teach you guys how to use FL Studio. We're to going going to be running through this entire program head to toe. We're going to be covering all of the different ins and outs that you might run into while you're working. Basically everything that you're going to need to know to get started with this program. So I'm going to be breaking this entire course into two parts and into six main chapters. For part one, Chapter one, we're really just going to focus on how to navigate and move around inside of FL Studio and just kind of taking a look around and learning what's what inside of the program so we don't get too lost or confused. While we are moving around, we will be covering all of the different windows as our playlist here, the channel rack, our piano roll, our mixer window, our browser, and we'll be going over how we can use all of these different windows while we are working, as well as going over some of their main functionalities and purposes. Once we get sort of a better lay of the land here, we'll move into our getting started chapter. And in here we will be getting a little more familiar with working with different audio sources, whether it be your drum samples or different virtual instruments that we pull in and, and overall just start moving into the more creative side of FL Studio. We'll cover how we can build up our songs from scratch, how we can use and create our patterns to arrange them into songs, and together we will sort of be building a class song, if you will, so I can give you real time examples of how everything works. Once we have all of our sounds figured out, we will do a deep dive of the mixer window and how we can route all of our different sounds to the mixer so we can start adding things like audio effects. We'll be going over some of the very useful techniques that you can use when it comes to your own projects and your own music. So in part one, we're really just going to focus on getting a good fundamental grasp on everything in FL Studio. Once we kind of have our heads wrapped around everything, we'll move into things like how to record in FL Studio, how we can approach mixing and mastering our tracks, and we'll be going over some of the very useful and important plugins that are unique to FL Studio and how and why we might use some of these certain plugins. Overall, I think FL Studio is a super user friendly program. For the most part. It's very easy to learn and pick up on. Once you kind of get the hang of where everything is, you can really start to bring your ideas to life. I love Info Studio. I think it's an awesome daw. It's super versatile and it's pretty straightforward. You can really accomplish anything and everything as far as producing your songs, arranging them, tracking, recording, mixing and mastering the whole deal. By the end of this class, I hope that you'll feel fully prepared to efficiently and effectively work inside of FL Studio. So with all that being said, I hope everybody is ready and excited to get started.
