Posting Videos for 1,000 Days Straight Changed His Life - Here's what happened | Nas Daily

When did things become real for you?

Things became real after 271 videos exactly. For the first 270 videos, they all failed. And then on day 271, I made a video in Thailand about how cheap Thailand is and everybody should visit it. And that video got 30 million views.

Wow.

So you go from averaging 10,000 views to 30 million views and you're like, hold on a minute. It is the hardest thing I've done in my entire life and I will never do it again.

How did you decide to even start down this path?

I do challenges all the time. Like every 6 months I try to do a challenge. It's like really hard. So one was like, I want to get a six-pack in 6 months. Another is I want to learn investing in 6 months. I want to learn 6 religions in 6 months.

That's how you build confidence.

I thought I was indestructible after 1,000 days. It made me the confidence to go and say, but some people are able to make that jump from, hey, I can only raise $1 million for my simple idea, to I just raised $100 million for my very big idea. And then I know some people, my friends who fundraise $100 million, but they were able to tell a story that's just bigger. No, the most interesting place I've been to is North Korea, probably. So I didn't realize how dangerous it is.

Yeah.

I went there because a lot of tourists go there. You see a different side of humanity. Like, those humans believe things that are just not true. But then I got to meet this North Korean girl and we kind of started liking each other. Hold hands on the bus. And then the other guy came to me and he's like, where are we going 10 years from now? That is a very good question. I think 50% of social media is going to be AI-generated. And another 50% will be humans. 99% of phone videos are crap. It's the 1% of efforts and storytelling of phone videos that really build careers, generational careers. I actually did 100 AI videos in 100 days. It got 400 million views.

Wow.

If you are not excited by the future, I don't know what else to say.

Well, this is exciting for me because we've been talking about me for the last 2 days, and I don't like talking about myself that much. I have so many questions for you.

You are very interesting.

Well, I could say the same about you and I'm excited to learn more. Um, because I, I, I've been seeing your content for a long time now. Like when did things become real for you?

Uh, things became real after 271 videos. Exactly.

271 videos.

271. Exactly. Yeah. I remember to the very day.

And when, and what was that like? Okay. No one thinks became really, no, that exact amount of videos. How did you like, what was that moment?

So before, for the first 270 videos, they all failed. Nas Daily failed. Like it was 10,000 views per video. It wasn't really that good. And then on day 271, I made a video in Thailand about how cheap Thailand is and everybody should visit it. And that video got 30 million views.

Wow.

So you go from averaging 10,000 views to 30 million views and you're like, hold on a minute. That's really the beginning of Nas Daily. And so it like the whole, like it was 100,000 followers, it became 300,000 followers in one day. And everything else just became better and easier on day 271.

Wow. So how many years into your journey were you?

Was that— were you 271 days?

So you were— so not daily, it was because you were doing a video every single day?

Every single day.

How did you decide to even start down this path?

Um, you know, I wanted to do something meaningful in my life that did not involve working for the man. I wanted to work for myself, and I think everybody's much happier when they work for themselves. And so I wanted to travel the world. I didn't want a job, so I just filmed my travels. I don't know. There's no science to it. It just happened.

Yeah. Were you, did you have like financial support at that time? Did you have any money?

Were you like, so I, uh, I had, so I got a scholarship to go to college. I didn't come from a rich background, but I, uh, I saved $40,000 after working for 2 years. So $40,000 in New York. You have 1 year, but $40,000 in Kenya, you have 5 years. So I literally immediately, April 8th, 2016, I quit my job. April 9th, 2016, I flew to Kenya.

Kenya. That was your first stop?

My first stop.

Why?

It's just interesting. The world's interesting. I was about, I'm going to go to anywhere I wanted. I wanted to freaking go to Kenya and Ethiopia, then India, then Nepal, then Japan. I could do whatever the hell I want because I have no job. And no US visa. So the world is my oyster.

Did you, like, how long did you plan for this? Like, I'm gonna just go start traveling and doing videos every day.

Like a week. It was like a week. Like, it was like, I had an idea and it was like, okay, let's just do it.

Were you just like, so were you working a job in New York?

Yeah. At Venmo.

At Venmo. What type of work were you doing?

A software engineer. Really?

Yeah. So you're, do you still know how to do?

I know how to code.

Yeah.

I, that's why I like tech. I, I used to be a software engineer.

Ah.

Uh, but, uh, you know, this whole content creation thing is, uh, is a, is a detour.

Yeah. And that was 9 years ago.

That was 9 years ago. Yeah.

So Kenya, you jumped out to Kenya and you decided I'm gonna start just making videos every day about traveling.

Yeah. Yeah. Every day. And because I have no job, there's no such thing as a weekend. Saturday means you have to work. Sunday means you have to work. Thanksgiving, you have to work. There's no day off.

Did you have a, like a crew with you in the beginning or was it just— No.

Hell no. It was me for the first, 400 days. Then I had a girlfriend. So after 400 days, I had a girlfriend. And then on the, that's the next 300 days. And then day 700, I hired an editor.

So you were doing all the filming and editing yourself until you had a girlfriend?

700 days.

And then all the editing. Yeah. For over 2 years.

Over 2 years.

Wow.

I hired too slow. My biggest mistake was hiring too slow.

Wow.

Yeah.

So at what point did you actually start? Generating enough money to support your travels?

I, by the end of the 1,000 days, I became a millionaire. I had $1 million.

Wow.

Exactly $1,950,000, something like that. It was crazy. But majority of that came on the last year. The first money I made was after day 12. I made $200.

Yeah.

The most serious money, $3,000 a month, I made on day 70 when I got a consulting job. So by day 200, it became almost like self-sustaining.

Gotcha. Have you ever heard of the model, the Valley of Disappointment?

Oh yeah. Yeah.

Yeah.

Which I think it's like, it's a chasm, right?

Um, it's, yeah, it's basically a graph.

Yeah.

Where there's nothing, there's output and there's time. And typically when we do something, we expect for every unit of time to have 1 unit of outcome. Ah. So it's like that, but re— in reality, things kind of are very, very, very flat. And then like, boom, 1,000, day 1,000, you have a million dollars. Did you go through that?

I did, but actually there's, there's another You know that one where it's like at the beginning everything goes nice, whoa, 1,000 views, and then it dies. And then it's like the valley of despair or something where nothing happens.

Yeah.

So you had some success at the beginning, but then you just, everything dies down. Like your friends are excited by your videos.

Yeah.

But then they're not excited.

Ah.

They stop watching after a while.

That's like the beginning of the chart.

Yes. Yeah.

But in reality, there's a time in the future when everything compounds on itself. All your followers compound on themselves, all the deals, all the people you're talking to.

Yeah.

Eventually something— it— there's a point where you, you actually exceed where you think you're supposed to be.

Absolutely.

And that's when things change. And that was like a day— that was what, day 1,000 for you when you got to $1 million?

Uh, well, it wasn't really about the money, not daily.

I—

it started for me, it was day 271.

Yeah.

My disappointment disappeared after day 271. Oh my God, you know, my grandkids will thank me for that video, right?

Yeah.

Because literally that changed my life.

Yeah.

Because I was about to quit.

Yeah.

And that changed their life. And my great-grandkids may also thank me for that.

Yeah.

Yeah. Same for you. The hoverboard is that.

Yeah.

The hoverboard changed your grandkids' life, right?

It's really cool to think about it that way.

Yeah.

Yeah. Changing generations.

Generations.

So like, how do you keep yourself in a high-energy state when you're traveling all the time and you're— Yeah. You know, like for me, I've, if I'm in a routine, I can like get in the flow. But if I'm, if I'm moving and traveling, I could stay in the flow, but like with time zone changes and, and limited food options and limited gym options, like what are some things you do to, to be you, to feel good?

Well, the whole point, if you're traveling in a new country every 7 days, and I did 64 countries in those 1,000 days, if you're traveling. A new country every 7 days, then you need to have as little routine and as little stuff as possible. So I only own 20 t-shirts, 2 pants, 2 shoes. That's it.

Yeah.

You've seen both my shoes. You saw my nice shoes yesterday and you saw my sports shoes today. That's it. Yeah. So you own nothing, right? And so I just have a laptop and a phone and that's it. Um, I think that makes it much easier to travel around the world because you don't need much.

Yeah.

You don't need a car.

You need it.

So, um, I, I, I, I enjoy that life.

Yeah. But how do you keep yourself in like a good mentality, a good mindset?

Like, yeah, I mean, I'm here today. I'm like, I got energy from you because I learned about Zendrop and all the stuff that you do. Like, I have so much energy and knowledge that I learned from you today. I'm excited. Last week I was in Portugal and I learned a thing or two about another company. Exciting. So, so I, I get energy from people. So that's really, I guess, what the definition of extrovert is.

You're, you're living in alignment with what you're meant to do.

Absolutely.

Which energizes you. And a lot of people are living in disalignment.

Absolutely. And it's called the 9 to 5 job.

Yeah. Well, some people thrive in, if you have the right job. Yeah. Like I've, I've met some people.

What percentage of people do you think have the right job?

It's a tough thing to say. I have no idea.

I'd say 20%, but yeah.

Yeah. You know, I, I interviewed, um, Jim Keyes. He was the CEO of Blockbuster before they busted and the CEO of 7-Eleven.

Oh wow.

And I was thinking he climbed to the top of the corporate ladder, CEO of 7-Eleven. I don't even know how many they've got.

International or US?

Um, I don't know which division he lives here. Yeah. Not in Florida. He's in Texas.

Okay.

But I was just thinking like climbing to the top of that corporate ladder is harder than building a billion dollar company.

Like it's harder.

Yeah, I think so.

I agree.

They have 100,000 people in the organization. Like how do you become—

politics?

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's gotta be harder, but certain people thrive in, in the corporate environment.

Absolutely.

But my, I guess my point is like, I guess energy can come from being in alignment with what you're—

absolutely.

What you love.

Yeah.

But it can also come from certain practices, habits, and routines.

Yes.

Do you have any of those things that you do?

Uh, I have a routine, which is I just work out 1 hour a day. Um, I wear the same thing.

Yeah.

I have the same haircut. Um, I talk the same way in the videos. I make the same video length, 1 minute. Um, so that, that was my, my routine was that.

Yeah.

So it doesn't have to be Your day-to-day routine, it can be the things you wear or the things you do every day is the same. Imagine for 2.7 years I did, for me, success in that day is to make a 1-minute video.

Yeah.

And that takes 10 hours of work, but still that's my routine.

Yeah. Well, that seems pretty simple.

Yeah.

But now that your life has scaled so much and you have a tech company and you have a whole production company and you have a whole lot of things going on and you live in 4 places. Like how do you keep yourself organized? Meaning like how do you eliminate all the noise and focus on what matters?

So at the beginning it was just me, and I think maybe the number one lessons for anybody listening to this is, uh, uh, don't hire too slow because I, I waited 700 days to multiply myself, uh, to get an editor and whatever. Now I have 100 people. So now those 100 people, you know, I have 5 people taking care of a hotel we have in Dubai. I have 35 people taking care of the tech company and I have 35 people or 43 people taking care of the media company. So I've now, I built a system where I get a report every week from the 15 teams that I have. And then, so I have 30 minutes with 15 teams and it's all written.

Yeah.

No presentations.

Yeah.

So you share this, the doc document, and I read it and then we discuss. Gotcha. So I'm starting to realize, I'm sure you're in the same boat, which is the most value I can offer to my company is decisions.

Yeah.

I just need to make decisions.

Yeah.

And people, I pay myself based on the quality of my decisions. Right.

That makes sense.

Yeah. And also the managers, you're paid based on the quality of your decisions, but you don't have to actually do the things anymore.

Right. But how do you, like when you wake up in the morning, decide, obviously you know what you're doing. Ahead of time, you have a schedule, you know where you're going, you know you're interviewing. There's a lot of things that you could do, a lot of people you could talk to. How do you make the decision on what you should focus on?

It's all pre-planned.

All pre-planned.

I no longer plan it. So I've decided like this year that I'm just gonna have 10 30-minute meetings with 10 different teams. That's it. It's recurring. Some teams I meet every day, some teams I meet twice a week, right? But that's it. If I finish those 10 meetings, like I know I'm good.

Yeah. Is that a weekly thing?

Like daily thing?

Oh, 10 30-minute meetings per day?

Something like that. Yeah. Oh wow. Yeah. Because some, some, some teams I meet every day. Like the product team, I meet 1 hour every day. Yeah. The marketing team, I meet 30 minutes every day. Then operations twice a week, you know, uh, NAS daily team twice a week, the hotel once a week, you know? So it's different frequencies based on the importance. The most important thing in my life right now is the product of NAS.io and the marketing of NAS.io.

Right, so you spend the most time with them. Tell me what's up with the hotel.

I had this opportunity, this like offer to, hey, do you want to start a hotel? And I was like, yeah, I do.

Really?

So yeah, I put 50% of the money and the investor puts 50% of the money and we call it Nas House and we operate it. And I thought it was like a once in a lifetime, experience. I've always wanted to build a hotel.

What do you call it?

Nas House.

Nas House.

Yeah. The people's house.

How did that opportunity come about?

Oh, I was the government. So the government is interested in attracting content creators.

Yeah.

And the Nas brand can attract content creators.

Yeah.

And so there was alignment of interests. And so we did it together. And now I, you know, run and operate the hotel. And it's, you know, it's a nice small business, but it's not making anybody rich. Yeah. It's just something to do for the sake of it.

Soul.

Yeah.

And I'm sure it's, yeah, it's probably, yeah, for the soul. That makes sense.

Yeah. It's like 30 hotel rooms. It's nothing too big.

Gotcha. That was there. I mean, like anyone can go open a hotel, but you had incentive from the, was there like anything that was like, oh, I gotta do this? Or you just thought it was fun?

Yeah, it was the initial seed funding, but then I had to put the equivalent amount as well. So I put 50% of the money, they put 50% of the money. Yeah. And, uh, what's that like?

Are you like, who's running the operations at the hotel? Who's cleaning the I have a team of 5 incredible people. Yeah. Hospitality people?

Yeah.

What's the hotel like?

It's amazing. It's like Bali. It's like Bali in Dubai. I'll show you. So if you type Nas House, and it looks kind of something like this. You know?

Did you guys build it or was the building there?

The building was there, but we renovated it to the max and then we made it like look like You know, like very Bali vibes. It's interesting. It's a whole new industry.

Yeah.

You know, but you know, it's curiosity, right? I'm just curious about this industry. It's different humans.

Yeah.

It's not tech people. It's not media people. It's different humans. It's really different economics. Some months you lose money in the summer. In the winter, you print money and hopefully by the end of the year, you are break-even.

Yeah.

So retail is, or like physical businesses, I realize are very tough. So I'm, that's why I'm a big fan of what you're doing. It's really merging the physical and the digital.

Yeah.

And that's really, you're basically doing the physical for everybody else.

Right.

That's cool.

Yeah. Yeah. I think the hotel is really interesting.

You want to build a hotel? I think you want to build a hotel.

I've, I mean, I've always loved the idea of creating a space for people that they can, you know, make their lives better, whatever it may be.

Yeah.

Like get away. Whether it's a retreat type place or, you know, I mean, people are so caught up in things all the time. Like, yes. Especially as, as years go on and technology gets more advanced. I mean, people are on their phone so much.

Yeah.

And their mind is going at a million miles an hour and like they never really give themselves, themselves a chance. I don't, I don't wanna speak for everyone, but a lot of people don't give themselves a chance to like relax, rely.

Yeah.

A hotel could be cool.

I mean, you should, you should build one in like Mexico or something.

I'm literally in talks. My buddy who's also a tech founder, no way. Who had a nice exit, he sent me a property in, in Mexico. No, not in Mexico, in Costa Rica.

Oh, perfect.

And it's like 600 acres and they have like all these tree houses and, and like, yeah, I guess someone inherited it and they're trying to get rid of it, but like jungles kind of overrun it. But it was like a cool opportunity, but I was like, Okay, you do that. Like, who's building it out? Who's designing it? Who's picking the cups? Who's deciding on the food menu? Who's deciding on the, you know, the, the appliances? Who's like, what software do you use? I mean, there's so many things to figure out.

It is a massive time suck.

Who do, who figures all that out?

I did that for the first 6 months. Yeah. So that was, I did this, boy, within 2 years ago and it took 6 months of my life to work with a design agency, a construction company, to find them, to decide on the brand, and to build it out. And then once I— basically all you need to do is show that it's possible, 0 to 1, and then 1 to 10, you hire people to do it, right? That's kind of, you know, by the way, in this, this hotel, I had this idea: what if we build a hotel room that is the best hotel room in the world for sleeping? So it has blackout curtains, red light therapy, protein, melatonin, and like energy supplements in the room. Right? And it's like a Tempur mattress, uh, uh, uh, uh, you know, uh, temperature control. Yeah, I think that would be really cool. So ideas come out as you enter this hospitality space. It's just opportunity cost. I just don't have time to sort of take this to the next level, open the second hotel in Mexico, which I really want to do.

You want to do that?

Of course I want to do that.

So you love the hotel business?

I mean, if you do the Costa Rica thing, let me know. Maybe we can operate it.

Yeah, let's talk about it after the podcast. I mean, it's a great It's a great opportunity. The price is really good. I, but I just don't know anything about, about the business.

I, yeah, if I don't think anyone will get rich from this.

Yeah.

If I put that same money I put in the hotel in Bitcoin, I'd be like much, much richer. Yeah.

You are in crypto a bit, eh?

I'm 50% of my money is in crypto. 50%. Yeah. What percentage are you?

5%. Yeah. You, you're probably all in, in the stock market.

Yeah, I got a lot in the stock market.

You're like a big America believer.

No, I'm just scared. Like, if I'm managing my own stuff, it— I have an emotional connection to every single day. Yeah. So like, I don't have anything in Robinhood, and I'm also like a degenerate. So like, I've lost so much money on trading options because I'm like, oh, Tesla's down 10%, I'm gonna buy some calls. And like, oh no, I've lost hundreds of thousands of dollars trading options.

An option.

So I just have a financial advisor that handles my stocks now. I check it every once in a while.

But, but I hear a lot of people say they make a lot of money from options. Or is that, is that literally gambling?

I, it's literally gambling because really? Yeah. I mean, think about it. When you're, when you're buying options, the market has already priced in all of the scenarios. So like if a company's down a lot, call options, you know, that you would, they, they're cheaper, but if a lot of people start buying them, they become more expensive. Like it's really hard to have an advantage on the market unless you are like really good at reading charts. Or you have inside information, but even if you're really good at reading charts, you're still losing 40% of the time, winning 60%. And the emotional toll, like even if I'm losing money, that's not meaningful to me. I'm like, man, I could pay for my, a year of my kid's college with that money. You know, I'm like, it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but I can't, if I had a lot, that much money in crypto and I could see it all the time with the volatility, man, I'd be, I'd be going crazy.

Well, I am going crazy. Yeah. Because you know, last month my crypto went down by 40%. Yeah. So that's 25% of my net worth essentially.

That's insane.

Yeah. That's, and let's just say it changes my, it changes my spending habits on day-to-day basis.

Same. Does yours? Is that hap— Yeah. Like that has happened to me in the past. Like when, when the market like got crushed last week.

Yeah.

And I lost a bunch of money. When I was back up, it's back up. Thank God.

I'm fucking selling. I'm done.

I didn't look today. Is it doing well today?

Yeah, it's doing well.

Oh my God.

I don't know.

I'm building this house in New York and it's like a, it's a very expensive project.

So you need the money.

I'm like, if I lose a million bucks, you know, in a week, I'm like, hold on, maybe I have to change what we're putting in the kitchen.

Like, you know, so, but yeah, I mean, how long do you think you can, 'cause I ask myself the same question. How long do you think we can keep this life going of I'm rich? No, I'm poor. No, I'm rich. No, I'm poor. Even though you're actually very rich no matter how you think.

Yeah. Well, I, my plan is to keep what I have in the market, in the market for at least the next 20 years and just continue to add to it. And if you just like, there's the rule of 7 years, right? Your money doubles every 7 years.

Yeah.

So if you can keep it in there for 20 years, it's doubling once, then that's doubling again. So it's 4x-ing and that's doubling again. So that's 8x-ing, right? So if you put, call it $10 million in the market, you'll have $80 million in 20 years.

I agree. But then I look at the Japanese stock market and it's been stagnant for the last 30 years. Has it? Yes. If you invested in the Japanese stock market in like the 2000s, you still have the same money.

Yeah, but I'm not just like, that's insane by the way. Like that sucks.

But by the way, same with the dot-com bubble. If you go in 2001 in the S&P at the peak, yeah, it took you 15 years to get that money back.

Yeah.

Same amount.

Yeah. I mean, it could happen. You don't know. But we also diversify by having businesses. Yeah. That's where the big. Outcomes are and those are the kinds that we have control over.

Yeah.

But I think it's important to diversify. I think it's good to have something just being managed in the stock market. Data shows most of the time you're not buying at the peak of the dot-com bubble, right? And if it crashes, you know, you throw more money in to dollar cost average your way in.

Yeah.

Don't overthink it. You can't really beat the market. Like, dude, I had the worst stock market experience of my life 3 years ago.

What happened?

So, you know, Carvana?

Yeah, it like went down by 99%.

Dude. Okay. I read a book about investing.

It's now back up.

I read a book about investing and I was like, and it was basically like find something undervalued that's down a lot that you don't think is gonna go outta business and put a lot on it. And I was like doing my research. I picked Carvana. I'm like, it's down to $3.80 from its like $300 all-time high.

Yeah.

I'm like, all right, I throw $100 grand in. It was on Robinhood. And of course, and I don't, I was doing a lot of stuff. I'm working a lot. I keep checking it. And I'm like, and I had a bunch of other money in Robinhood and it was taking a lot of my energy and it dropped down to $365. And I'm just like, you know what, what am I doing? I'm just, I took all my money outta Robinhood, so I sold it. Now it's at like $250 a share. I missed out on like, uh, a hun— a 100x or something like that.

Almost. That's like $10 million or something. Yeah.

It, that makes me sick inside.

It's wor—

it's worse than losing money.

But you know, investing makes you perpetually sad. And this is what most people need to understand. If you put $10 in something and it doubles, you are sad because you think to yourself, what if I put $100?

Yeah.

Why did I only put $10? If you put $10 and it goes down in 2 years, you're also sad because the money went down. There is no happy outcome in investing. And that's what most people need to understand.

Yeah.

Like I got— we talked about this yesterday, Zcash. I put $100K in Zcash at $40. Now it's $600,000. Now it's $1.2 million. And now I'm asking myself, why did I not put a million? If I put a million, I'll have $12 million. I have literally like, I can do whatever the hell I want. So, but now I'm sad, but I just made a million dollars.

That's an interesting concept. You can never really be happy investing unless you let someone else do it and you don't look at it and then you look at it every once in a while.

But you're a founder. You never trust other people with You know, that your livelihood, you want to have control. I definitely do not trust investment advisors. I, I have investment advisors, my bank, and tells me do this and do that. I'm like, I do not want to listen to you.

I know. Cause they have incentives. They have incentives to do things with your money that benefit them.

Yeah.

Even though they say—

if they were so good, they probably wouldn't be working at the bank.

Yeah.

So why do they have more information than I do? I just, I never understood that.

I hope someone listening has someone who has more information than I do. They can share it with me. So I've always been looking for that. Like somebody share investment advice with you or someone that like beats the market returns. It's so rare. It's like you, you always hear these studies, like even most financial advisors don't outperform the S&P 500.

Yeah.

Over 10 years.

Yeah. But you know Renaissance Technologies, Jim Simmons?

No.

Is like the very few documented case where a quant in, in Connecticut or Long Island. Oh, I should have— was able to beat the market like 30, 40 years in a row. But like through like trading.

Yeah.

And the guy just died actually. But that is like one of the, there's, they made so much money. They don't have any LPs. They just—

Right. I heard about that. You can't even invest. It used to be a hedge fund, right?

Yeah. Now you cannot even put your money there. Yeah.

And that makes me want to put my money there so bad. I heard about that not that long ago. Yeah.

Yeah. Renaissance Technologies. Check it out.

You must have some interesting info. I mean, you interview such interesting people all the time. You must have some insight into—

I do have insight into the crypto world.

Crypto world.

Yeah.

How, like, where do you learn that stuff?

Well, just make the right friends.

Yeah.

You know, your network is your net worth. I fully believe that now.

Yeah.

Like the Zcash, you think I came up with the Zcash thing? You think I know anything about the Zcash? No, just a friend of mine was like, this is my bet on Zcash because privacy is going to be big in the future. Yeah. And then bam, I believed him.

Are you good at managing your network? Like, meaning, do you stay in touch with people?

No, I'm really bad at it. Yeah, I'm really— I think all of us have this problem, and especially if you have kids and family. I, I probably ignore many people.

Yeah, same, but not because I don't like them. I actually, I try to avoid new connections because I know that I'll probably not respond because my, my family takes up so much of my life and my business takes up so much, so much of my life. So I'm like, I'm scared to have new relationships.

Absolutely.

Because I'm like, oh, it's another responsibility.

You know why? Because the thing that manages your relationships is WhatsApp and/or iMessage.

Yeah.

And it is horrendous because you can only like remember 10 people in your, in your head, right? And your contact book has thousands of people and, you know, and your WhatsApp is probably the working groups. So you don't remember, hey, let me text this guy. How's he doing?

Yeah.

It's actually like, I, I wish we went back to the days of Facebook where my entire social network was on Facebook.

Yeah.

And the algorithm showed me whenever my friends are in town or whenever they had a birthday.

Right.

Like that AI.

Yeah.

We need it again.

Yeah.

To manage your social network. This is why we're all so freaking lonely.

Yeah. I mean, we need it. We, we need a tool that can aggregate all of our, our communications on a regular basis and like Tinder style, swipe right, swipe left.

Yeah.

If you want to like do something about it, put it over here for now. And then like have a list, be able to organize it. Because there's too many platforms.

Too many.

There's email.

Each one is holding their data like this.

And it's all messy.

Yeah. So I need an AI agent that tells me, message your friend, it's been 5 months. Wish this person a happy birthday and congratulate this guy on his fundraise.

Yeah. Yeah.

Done, done, done.

Yeah. Yeah.

Should we just build it?

I mean, it's probably so easy with, you know, tools like Lovable and these platforms where it gives you 5 code things. It's probably pretty easy to build anything at this point. But then it's like, well, that's a rabbit hole conversation. There is something that, that I do that helps me manage things and helps me remember things. Like it may be useful for you at the end of the day. I do a daily recap. So I'll literally sit down with a notebook and I'll just, I'll, I'll first mentally, I'll think through everything I did for the day. What time I woke up, what did I eat? Did I work out?

Oh really?

I have a phone call on the phone and as I'm writing everything out, I'm remembering, oh, you know what? Like, don't forget to follow up with this guy. Or, oh, you know, you gotta send this over here. And it's like, if I didn't capture that during the day, I'm capturing it there. And then it goes onto the list for the next day. And if I keep up with that habit and that practice, I do a lot more. I'm much better at staying in touch with the right people and doing things.

And you do this every day?

Almost every night. Some nights it's like, you know, after we put the kids down and I'm exhausted, I'll, I'll like skip it. But then I feel like I lost the battle 'cause I told myself I'm gonna do it.

Yeah.

Uh, I'm big with that stuff. Like if I tell myself I'm gonna do something, like if I don't do it, I really beat myself up. But I really try to do it.

I like that.

Oh yeah.

I make content.

I find it fascinating that you were able to create a video every single day for how many days in a row did you do? In the day?

1,000. 1,000 days. That's 2.7 years.

That's a fascinating achievement. I don't think I've ever done anything for 1,000 days in a row.

It is the hardest thing I've done in my entire life, and I will never do it again. I did another challenge, 100 days in a row. I do challenges all the time. I like challenges because it challenges yourself. Like every 6 months, I try to do a challenge. It's like really hard. So one was like, I want to get a six-pack in 6 months. Another is I want to, I want to learn investing in 6 months. I want to learn 6 religions in 6 months. So every month I learned like Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, and all that stuff. Um, so I think the concept of challenges, people really underestimate at how much it pushes you to do things.

Yeah. Have you ever done 75 Hard?

My girlfriend did it.

Okay.

It was hard.

I do it. Like, you do it? Whenever I'm slipping up in life or I feel like I'm like being a schlop, I do 75 Hard.

When was the last time you did it?

Uh, probably a little bit less than a year ago.

Wow. That's crazy.

Yeah. I've fini— I've finished it 3 times, but I've, I've started it 6 times.

I try, I'm, I, it's like something I think like once a year.

Cool. It's a good idea. It's a framework. It's like a challenge is a framework. It's like, oh, I'm, this is what I'm doing. It's not like I want to lose weight. It's no, I want to get a 6-pack in 6 months and this is how I have to do it. 'Cause like when you leave it up to decision, it's really easy for your mind to convince you not to do something.

Yes.

But when you have a, a, a pre-planned game plan. And you just say, I'm not wavering away from that. Your mind might chime in and say, no, we're not doing that. It's like, no, we're doing it.

Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.

I find challenges.

I may do it. Yeah.

Yeah.

You know, with Nassim, we built the challenges feature as well. It's like, it's like, it's like, so it's a new way to learn.

Yeah.

A new way to create experiences.

Yeah.

Challenges.

Yeah.

And it's one of the most successful features.

Yeah. I think, I mean, 75 Hard has been a life changer for me energetically. It's like, it just feels so good that like at the end of the day, like I'm tired. I don't wanna do this workout or I'm tired.

I don't wanna read.

And like, you do it and it's just like that confidence builds, right? Yeah. It's like that, that inner voice that's, or that inner party that's judging everything you do.

Yeah.

It goes from, I don't know about, I don't know about me, right? Like, I couldn't even do this to like, fuck yeah, like we did all that. We could go do anything, right? It's like, that's how you build confidence. That's so deep. Sticking to promises to yourself. I agree. I think doing something for 1,000 days builds a tremendous amount of confidence.

I thought I was on top of the world. Yeah. I thought I was indestructible after 1,000 days. And you're actually right about the confidence and I don't talk enough about it, but yeah, it's, it made me the confidence to go and say, I want to build a company with 1,000 employees. And that's much harder than I realized.

Yeah, I'm sure.

Much harder. It takes a lot more time.

A lot more time. Well, and a lot more strategy and a lot more problems to solve. And a lot more things to decide what I should do when there's all these things going on.

Yeah. Yeah. When it's not just like 75 Hard alone is doable because it's only you. But if I tell you, can you do 75 Hard with 100 other people, then you're responsible for organizing 100 people, pushing every single person to do 75 Hard no matter their circumstances. It's like significantly harder to manage others than to manage yourself.

Yeah. Very, very true. Yeah. But, and if you, but if you can't manage yourself, You certainly can't manage others.

You certainly can't manage others.

Yeah. So it starts with you.

Yeah, absolutely. But you know, I've seen a lot of bodybuilders that have like 9% body fat, incredible bodies, but they cannot hire 2 people.

Really?

Yeah. I mean, if anything, it's almost like a sign. It's an anti-signal.

Really?

When you have like a jacked body that's like really, really toned. But most successful people don't look like that. And in fact, those people are not really successful.

Interesting.

Did, did you notice that?

I, I, I have found that most successful people I know also are pretty healthy.

Pretty, no, they're healthy for sure, but they're not 9% body fat.

Yeah.

They don't have a six-pack.

Yeah.

They are healthy. Yes.

Yeah.

But the, but it takes insane discipline to count your calories every day for, yeah. But they become fitness coaches, right?

Or you can just take steroids or steroids.

Yeah. Then you can hire people to Assuming you're into exercise.

Yeah.

So I, I'm not sure that if you know how to, you know, I've seen a lot of very successful CEOs that are incredibly overweight.

Yeah. Um, so, but I do think that you can apply the same principles of discipline and confidence into business. I just think, yeah, in business, the way I look at it is when you're starting, we all have beliefs about what's possible in life, right? Like when you're starting a business, depending on how you grew up and the people around you, You believe that X is possible. Maybe it's 100 grand a year is possible.

Yeah.

You see people making a million, you see people making 10 million, but for you it's not really possible. But you stick to the plan and eventually you cross 100,000 and you get to a million. Now it's not 100,000 possible. 100,000 is bad. A million is what's normal.

Yeah.

I know people can make 10 million. I know you can make 100 million, but you know, a million's where I'm at. If you keep sticking to the plan and keep showing up, you break, you keep breaking those, you keep outperforming those beliefs.

That's the 4-minute mile. What is it? You know, the 4-minute mile?

Yes.

Yeah, exactly.

Exactly that. Exactly. But that happens in your own life. Like as you continue to grow in business, like when I first started in, in e-commerce, I was like, if I can make $250 a day, that's good. 'Cause that's like what I made in my job. If you back that out of like the salary and the taxes, I was like, But now it's like 250. You, you just continue to outperform your beliefs, right? And then you look at someone like a Jeff Bezos, you know, he just launched, um, a new stealth AI company.

It's crazy.

They raised $6 billion. They haven't even made a dollar yet. They raised $6 billion for a stealth company, right? Like that is so far outta my realm of what's possible. Although I know it's possible for him, but you can't just jump to that. You have to keep outperforming. You have to keep moving forward. So I think if you have the principles of having a shredded body, right? You stick to the plan, you go to the gym every day. I think if you take those principles and bring them to business, they can be really useful.

I agree with this. I agree. But some people are able to make that jump and I'm dying to know how from, hey, I can only raise a million dollars for my simple idea to I just raised $100 million for my very big idea. Some people can do that without having to be Jeff Bezos. You know, like when I'm fundraising right now, I'm fundraising $50 million for Nacayo. Sounds like a lot. It's a lot of money. But then I know some people, my friends who fundraise $100 million, but they were able to tell a story that's just bigger. Like I do, I really do believe in like think big and think small. If you think small, you achieve small. If you think big, you achieve big. And I'm, one of my biggest problems, surprisingly to say, is that I think small. You know, my smallness is I'm gonna make a 1-minute video every day. See what happens. Think small. Let me build this line of code and see what happens. But like, I see other people who think big. They're like, I'm gonna reimagine media and build the next Netflix. I'm gonna build Quibi, whatever it is, you know? So I like to be that.

Yeah.

But I think they don't know how.

I think it comes from two things. I think it comes from number one, momentum, right? So it's like when you're starting something and you have, so there's always like this initial like inspiration and, and like excitement and it, it fizzles out over time and it comes back and stuff, but you get this huge burst in the beginning.

Yeah.

I think momentum of talking to people and then those people hype you up even more, gets bigger, connects to another person. If, if you could keep that momentum going, I think that's really key.

Yeah.

And then I think the other thing is ha— like maintaining, uh, like a, a baseline energy of feeling good regularly and intentionally making yourself feel amazing each day and thinking about your vision from that state.

Yeah.

It's like if you get out and exercise in the morning when you feel great and music's good and you got, you know, you just feel like on top of the world, then you think about your vision and then the vision feels bigger. Right. And then you, you, you document those thoughts as opposed to when you're stressed and you're, how do I think bigger? It doesn't work that way. You have to change your state first. You have to change your energy first.

So I think the state— you may need the perfect walk.

The perfect walk is something that I think everyone needs.

Can you explain to the world the perfect walk? Yeah. Please take this into an Instagram reel and clip it. Tell the world about the perfect walk in less than a minute.

This is my podcast. Okay. No, the Perfect Walk was derived from a lot of different things I learned from Tony Robbins events, from Joe Dispenza meditation retreats, from plant medicine journeys. For me, it's what I do in the morning. It's a 25-minute practice and it's a walk and it goes along with music with 5 different songs and the songs change for each different part. The first part, you open your heart and you feel grateful.

So 5-minute songs, 5 of them.

They're not all exactly 5 minutes, but they're approximately 3 to 6 or 7 minutes, something like that. And I have a bunch of different playlists that each have 5 songs. But first you're thinking about things you love, your family, you know, grateful to be alive. You feel grateful, you open your heart, which I think is a really key component to have each day. Gratefulness is really important. And then you move into feeling strong and powerful. So music gets strong, you know, Gladiator, warrior music. You walk, you know, walk as if nothing can get in your way. Then you move into a point of just completely being in the moment and letting go. And just noticing things around you, which then moves into the fourth part, which feels— you start to feel connected with a higher power. You may have different religious beliefs or spiritual beliefs, but, you know, if you believe there's a higher power, that's your time to start feeling connected. And the last part's the celebration, which is my favorite part. You know, something you want to happen in life, maybe it's you want to go raise $40 million, you know, you walk as if the wire hit, or you walk as if the hand was shooken— shaked, whatever you want to call it. You walk as if it happened.

And so you have a bunch of playlists. Each one is like 25-minute long playlist.

Yeah.

And you just play the playlist and you go on that 25-minute walk.

Yeah.

And based on the song, you change your thoughts.

Yeah. And, and the cool thing is the more you practice it, the better you get at it and you realize it's not about thinking, it's about feeling. And when you can change the way you feel, your thoughts then change. People think they need to think themselves into feeling a different way, but the truth is you need to feel your yourself into thinking a better way.

Yeah. Interesting.

So that's my morning practice.

Well, how can we get that playlist?

I have a PDF document that I've shared with a lot of people.

Do you really? Yeah.

I'm actually writing a book about it.

That is one digital file I want to get.

I'll send it to you right after this. Yeah. I want to do more with the perfect walk because I think especially in today's society, people are all focused, not all, a lot of, most people are focused on the how and the what, but they're not focused on the, like, themselves, right? It's like, how do I go make money? Or what do I need to do? But it's counterintuitive because if you don't change your state, if you don't change the way you feel, your thoughts can only get to a certain level, right? If you're on your, in your mom's basement playing video games, you're not gonna be able to think your way outta that situation. You have to feel your way out of it. And then the thoughts match your frequency. They match the way you feel.

Yeah.

So it's like most people have it counterintuitively. And the perfect walk is just a practice to change the way you feel. And it's fun, it's easy. It's not, you don't have to go meditate for 30 minutes, which is hard.

Yeah.

It's enjoyable, especially if you live in a nice area where you can get outside in the morning.

You gotta give it a try.

But I think those are two things. I think it's momentum, right? If you wanna think bigger, it's momentum and being able to regularly bring yourself into a high energy state and think about your vision from that state.

Yeah. That's cool.

Yeah. At least for me, that's what's worked.

I agree. I agree.

But then things, you know, things also have a lifespan. It's like if you pick the wrong business, it can only, it can only get so big, you know? And that, but the cool thing is there's, there's unlimited possibilities, right? There's unlimited pivots you can make. You're always like one move away from something. It's just, you can't see it in the moment.

That's why, that's why my number one advice to founders is stay in the game. You know, right? Like stay in the game. Like literally never run out of money. Like your number one goal is to never run out of money. Always stay default alive because eventually something will change and you will be the next big thing. Actually, I saw this yesterday, which was somebody built a legal startup, a startup to help lawyers become more efficient. They raised $70 million and hired 100 people. 5 years ago. That's before AI. They tried to sell that product to like law firms. Not a single one of them said, I want this, right? Because there's no AI. Then ChatGPT came about. Somebody else made a legal firm and then they introduced ChatGPT to lawyers, right? And then it's called Harvey, this one. And then it became a billion-dollar company.

Oh.

But this company that raised $70 million at the beginning, shut down 2 months before ChatGPT-3.

Wow.

Imagine, imagine.

Wow.

It's crazy. So I really think that, you know, for all entrepreneurs, the number one most important thing is to stay in the game.

Yeah.

Zendrop has to be alive in 10, 20 years because there will be a dropshipping explosion.

Yeah.

You just don't know it yet.

You gotta stay in the game.

Stay in the game.

How do you stay in the game when times get hard, when you get stressed out? Do you, do you go, do you go through a lot of stressful times in your business these days?

Look at my, look at my, uh, nails.

They get bitten a bit.

What do you see?

Yeah.

Yeah. There are no nails. Yeah. This morning from 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM, I was like this because, you know, we, we, we are going through some, you know, very, uh, uh, not rough patches, but rather, uh, important decisions.

Yeah.

Pivotal decisions. Yeah. And you just wanna make the right decision.

Right.

And, um, so yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm not gonna give advice here because I have not figured it out.

Yeah.

But I am always anxious, stressed, um, um, and hope that I can get out of this, you know?

I think that's what it just, it just is that way 90% of the time when you're building something.

Yeah. Right. You feel it too.

Yeah. I mean, I felt that way almost the whole time until recently, until we had our exit.

Yeah.

I would say, because it was like, then you feel emptiness. Yeah. Then you feel stressed.

Then you feel empty.

Yeah.

That's life. That's a human experience.

Yeah. There's no avoiding it. You just have to accept it as, as that's what it is and not be, not identify with it. Right. It's like, there's, there's a difference between being stressed And knowing, hey, I'm feeling stressed right now versus I'm stressed and I can't escape it. It's like, no, everything will change. Everything will pass. Everything will go. It's just a matter of time if you stay in the game.

Yeah. Yeah.

That's why I think there are like practices and habits that people can do that can, you know, help them outta those tough times and change their states.

Absolutely.

I think that's important stuff.

One of the things I'm dying to do next year, and I really need to do it, is, uh, is, uh, vipassana. Yeah.

Silent retreat.

Yeah, silent retreat. I want to just go 10 days to India or maybe some luxury vipassana. I think I'm done with rugged vipassana. Some luxury vipassana in India or anywhere in the world. I just don't want to talk and I don't want to check the stock market every 10 minutes. I just disappear from planet Earth for 10 days.

Yeah. That's amazing.

I'm so excited for that.

I would love to do that.

You've never done it, right?

No. I would love to do it. It's just so hard with two little kids now to be able to just go leave for 10 days. Like I can't do anything.

Just like give your wife 5 helpers for those 10 days.

Yeah. Um, and a shopping spree.

Or a shopping spree. But yeah, I, I, it's, have you done it? No, I've never done it. That's why I'm dying to do it. I'm dying to do it. I've done it last year. I've done Antarctica for 11 days.

Antarctica.

In Antarctica for 11 days. And wow, that felt, that felt good.

What was that like?

It's amazing. But I had internet the whole time. Yeah. But, um, it was incredible. It was, uh, you, you just have a different appreciation for, for planet Earth. Uh, I highly recommend it.

Really?

Definitely.

So was that one of the most interesting places you've been to?

No, the most interesting place I've been to is North Korea, probably.

Oh, you've been to North Korea?

North Korea. Yeah.

I think I saw that.

Yeah, it was 10 years ago.

Are you allowed to talk about that?

Yeah, of course I'm allowed to talk about it. I actually had a lot happen in North Korea.

Tell me about North Korea, please.

So I went there before Otto. You know Otto, the American guy who died? Yeah.

Oh yeah, before him.

Yeah, on the same trip before him, like a year before him. So I didn't realize how dangerous it is.

Yeah.

I went there because a lot of tourists go there. You know, you get a visa, everybody gets a visa. Da da da da da. And you know, you're always with a guide, a tour guide. You're never alone. And it, it, you see a different side of humanity when you see the extreme propaganda. Like those humans believe things that are just not true.

Really?

Yeah. They believe that America is the devil. They believe that their way of life is the best way of life. They believe that they're the richest. They're not the richest. They believe Kim Jong-un is a god.

Literally.

Literally a god, like born out of sunlight somewhere on top of a mountain. But then I got to meet this North Korean girl, my guide, and we kind of started liking each other. Yeah, over this one week and held hands on the bus. She's the guide and she's like the most beautiful Korean girl I've ever seen.

Wow.

And then the other guy came to me and he's like, don't do this. Don't hold the hands. We're watching you. So I freaked out. I freaked out. You know, I went too crazy. I went too crazy in my trip. And I freaked out and I stopped. But I just, you know, I had a bit of a romance and she said, please text me. And I was like, how the hell am I going to text you? I cannot text you. It's impossible.

There's no way to get in contact from out of here.

The last 10 years, we've never been in touch. How? So you—

there's no way to contact people in North Korea?

Impossible. They don't have internet?

They don't have internet.

They have like intranet, not internet, which is only within North Korea. You don't get outside North Korea. And it's like 10 kilobytes a second. It's primarily text, some images, no videos, no Spotify, no Facebook, no social media.

Let me ask you a really interesting question.

Yeah.

Do you think the people there are happy?

Yeah, I definitely think they're happy. And I also think people here are happy too. I don't think happiness is connected to technology or whatever. I just think, you know, everybody's happy and sad at the same time, whether you have a lot or you have a little. I don't believe that having a lot makes us unhappy.

But if you believe you're the richest country in the world and you believe, you know, everything is what they say it is and you don't have the stock market to look at, like, is life less stressful for people there?

I just don't know. I mean, she had her own stress. She was like stressed by her college classmates who were, uh, you know, mean to her. She was stressed by her family, dad and mom fighting, right? Like, there's always stress to be introduced.

Yeah.

I don't believe a human can live without stress unless you're in some sort of like marijuana or some, some crazy stuff like that. Um, so she was stressed, she was sad, she was happy. She was like a normal human.

So what have you learned about humans having been in so many different places?

That's a very good question. What I learned about humans from visiting more than 100 countries now is that they are so shockingly boring. Like, humans are so 90-90. 99% similar. It's insane.

Really?

Yeah. It's like, it's like the same. It's the same. It's like a Yemeni and an Israeli and an American and a North Korean. Like they all want the same things. They all have the same problems. They all have the same jealousy, same fear, same excitement. What I really focused on with Nas Daily is that 1% difference, which is, oh my God, look in Mexico, they eat tacos.

Yeah.

You know? but that's just a 1% of your daily life.

Right.

Um, you know, so my job was to make the content interesting by focusing on the 1%. Right. But the 99% is the same.

Yeah.

Which is a good thing.

Yeah.

There's nothing exceptional about—

were there any cultures though that you're like, well, those guys have gotta figure it out?

A culture that figured it out?

Wow.

That's a very good question. A culture that figured it out. What is figured it out?

They just, um, I don't know. The definition could be different depending on what you think about life.

I actually think the American culture is great.

Yeah.

It's so easy to shit on the American culture and be like, ah, America, we are so healthcare. I think the American culture is amazing.

Yeah.

It is one of the very few cultures that pushes you to become different. Yeah, right. What you've done is celebrated. In many other cultures, what you do is put down.

Yeah.

You know, the tall poppy syndrome?

No.

Was it tall poppy syndrome? It's like you have a lot of flowers and then one flower is higher than average. It's the first to be chopped, right, by the gardener.

Yeah.

So you never want to be the tall poppy. You always want to blend in.

Yeah.

So in many cultures, especially in my Arab culture, you're always supposed to blend in.

Really?

Yeah, because the minute you do something different, you dress differently or you have different ideas, you're the first to be cut. So there's too much conformity in the Middle East, and the same in Europe. There's too much conformity in Europe. I mean, try to become like a successful entrepreneur in Europe, they'll be like, oh, why are you not paying taxes? But in America, we're like, we, we rank billionaires, right? Like, oh, who's got more money? Oh my God, that's amazing. Yeah, that's cool.

Yeah, that— I never thought of it that way before. For.

Yeah.

If you think about American culture and the way it's portrayed, it's like everyone's eating McDonald's, there's riots, there's, you know, the presidents are both looking like assholes all the time.

So I was just in the richest area in London, like yesterday, richest area in London, Park Lane.

Yeah.

And Hyde Park and all these places. Uh, I saw a lot of poverty there. Like the buildings look nice, but the average person working there, the average person's car is poor. The average salary is low. Like the average tax is high. Like London looks rich, but it's filled with middle-class people.

Yeah.

Nothing wrong with that.

Right.

Then I landed in Miami and I see this person with a Cybertruck, this person with a Lamborghini, this person, you know, I met you at this like country club. Like the wealth in America is unbelievable. Yeah. My 3-star hotel has a $12 water bottle. It's like, who in their right mind would buy this? But people do.

Yeah.

So you have a lot of wealth.

Yeah. So, but you grew up in Israel.

Yeah.

And Israel is pretty, pretty, uh, has a similar culture of, of, you know, raising people to grow, right?

Yeah. I think it's pretty similar to the American culture.

Yeah.

I actually think Israel is a 51st state.

Yeah.

Might as well be.

What was it like growing up? But you're, you're Muslim?

Muslim, like Arab Israeli.

What was that like growing up in Israel? Are there a lot of Muslims in Israel?

20%. So it's 2 million, roughly 2, 1.5, 2 million people in Israel are not Jewish.

Right.

They're like Arab or Palestinian origin.

Yeah.

And I'm one of them.

Yeah.

How's it like growing up? It's almost like being like African-American.

In the US?

In the US. Ah. It's like you're different. You don't feel like you belong as much. For some reason the average income is lower. The law is equal, but for some reason you are not doing as well. Either because of cultural differences or institutional racism. But that's how I think of it, is the same way.

That's interesting.

Yeah.

What happened when the whole conflict though went down between Israel and Palestine? Israel. Yeah. Like how did that affect culture?

Culture. That's a lot. I mean, that was a pivotal moment for all of us, for all 2 million of us. We were like, what do we do now? Where do we belong? Do we belong with Palestine or with Israel? I personally had a moment of clarity where I said, you know what, cut the crap. I'm Israeli first. That's it. Which is, I don't wanna see Israel be attacked. I wanna see this country continue to exist and thrive. And my allegiance is to the success of Israel.

Yeah. You came out and said that publicly.

Yeah, I did, man. It was, uh, it made tens of millions of people angry.

Wow.

Yeah. Not in the US. How did you deal in the Middle East?

How did that feel for you?

How did I feel? Didn't feel good. It didn't feel good, but it felt, I felt like I had clarity and I felt like You know, I felt like I knew the truth, but I felt like the wider world doesn't know it yet.

Yeah.

So it's felt a little bit lonely.

Yeah.

I'm not gonna lie. I think with time, you're gonna talk to me in 20 years and we'll be like, oh, of course, yeah, Israel should exist. But saying that now in the Middle East is like, no, it cannot. It cannot exist. You cannot say it exists. You cannot say the word Israel. Israel does not exist. So I just feel like the Middle East is always like 20 years behind.

Yeah.

On women's rights, on gay rights, on whatever rights.

Right.

And also on Israel stuff.

Yeah.

On Jewish stuff as well.

Yeah.

You know, and I just, I view it as a temporary pain.

Yeah. Yeah. That makes sense.

But it's pain.

Was it scary at all for you? Did you have like people?

Yeah. Of course, bodyguards. Yeah. I have bodyguards. If there's anything public now in the Middle East, I have like bodyguards. Um, but I'm not. Scared necessarily. I'm just taking precautions. Yeah, just to be careful.

He didn't really say anything that crazy.

Nothing.

Yeah, you grew up in Israel and you just stated your opinion. You didn't— you're not radical.

No, I never said anything negative about anybody. Yeah, the mission statement of Nas Daily is bring people together. Yeah, and bring people together also means bring Jews and Muslims together. Yeah, it also means to bring Ukrainians and Russians together, right? But when you try to do that, you acknowledge the existence of Israelis. And when the minute you do that, everybody hates you because it's so radical there. Like it's so radical in like Egypt and Jordan and Lebanon. And it's like, if you want to, like, that is, I think, modern day, you know, Nazi regime.

Yeah.

But it just doesn't look German and doesn't look white and doesn't look blonde.

Yeah.

It looks just different.

Yeah.

I think hate doesn't disappear, it mutates. So hate sort of left Germany and I think went down to like parts of the Middle East.

Wow.

And that's why we really need to like eradicate hate in the Middle East. And I think the two countries that are doing that is like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Yeah.

Probably the two most amazing countries that are actively trying to eradicate extremism in the Middle East.

Yeah.

And I, I'm a big fan of what they're doing.

I mean, it's like, I don't really understand why people hate each other. Like I could see how it all happened.

Did you vote for Tom?

Yeah.

Why? Now half the audience hates you.

Yeah, but I don't know.

Like, do you understand why they would hate you for saying, for doing that?

I could understand the concept of it, but I just think like as, like we're all humans.

Yeah.

And we're all living this life one time and we are all here for a limited time. We don't own anything. We have things while we're here, but it's not ours. We're gonna die and it doesn't come with us.

Yeah.

It's like, why can't we just be on the same team?

I think for, let's say for a, for a, for a, for a, let's say a gay person in Massachusetts, for them, you voting for Trump means the death of them. It's very irrational if you ask me. It's very, but that's what they believe. An immigrant in New York probably thinks that you voting for Trump is the end of their residency in the United States because ICE is going to come and get them. So I see how it becomes existential. And so for a Palestinian, when you say I'm okay with Israel, for them it literally translates to I want you dead.

Right.

But I don't want you dead.

Right, right. And I don't want the end of any of those things you just said.

But that's how it translates. If I say, if I say I'm, I'm a big fan of Kamala Harris and I think we need her in, in Florida as the governor of Florida, for you it translates to, I'm gonna lose all my money. I'm gonna be taxed like 99%.

Yeah, no, it makes me think you're an idiot. You know, it's like, but it's because it's not, so here's the thing. I don't know Kamala Harris. I just know what the news portrays her to be. Right? Like the whole society is a giant echo chamber. Someone says something and it's like history. It, it, it's written. And then, but it's not the actual source of truth.

Yeah. But why do you think I'm an idiot then? What if Kamala is actually pretty good and that's your impression of her?

You're an idiot because of the media. Yeah. Not because I'm, I, but I know, I don't know. That's the thing. Like, I know I've seen clips of people. that intentionally eliminated the rest of the clip to get a point across.

Absolutely.

I know I saw a clip of, uh, Israeli soldiers in Palestine giving out food, and then there was a conflict, and I saw two different headlines. One was, they lured in the Palestinians to kill them. The other one was, they were trying to give food to them and they got attacked. Same video.

Absolutely.

So it's just based on other people's perceptions of the truth. Yeah. So, and, and then unfortunately all the media has their own incentives and their own agendas, which just, and, and the more we consume it, the more brainwashed we get, which pulls us apart more and more.

Yeah. So then we also recognize that we fell for the Kamala Harris.

Yes.

Media trap.

Yeah.

Because what if she's actually a good governor?

Yeah, she could be. I don't like her laugh.

Just to be clear, I'm not a Kamala or Trump. I, I don't care, but. I just find it fascinating.

Yeah, I do too. But it's like, at what point do we move past all this, all this drama for no reason?

Only if there's aliens discovered somewhere out of space, then we'll become united.

Right. Because if they are discovered, like they must be so far advanced as civilization, they must be working together. They must be. Well, you have a different reason. You're saying because it's us versus them?

Because, yeah, because all of us, us Chinese and Japanese and Israelis and Palestinians versus the aliens.

I think a different thing. I think that might be a scenario, but I also think if an alien civilization made it this far, they must be so advanced. Their technology must be so far beyond ours that they don't have room for hate inside their culture. I think they would.

Oh, really?

I, I mean, I don't think that humanity can make it out of our solar system when there's so much inefficiency between humanity. We're not working together. We're working against each other so much. We're fighting. We're spending all of our resources on killing each other. Building war, you know, bombs. And imagine we took all that energy and built something that humanity was proud of, put it into whatever it was.

Yeah.

You got like one guy, Elon Musk, trying to get to Mars. But imagine like everyone was united working towards something greater, good for humanity. That's what aliens would have to be like to make it this far. Interesting. And their ideals and the way they—

they would say we would copy their ideals.

I think it would just be an eye-opening thing for us. Us.

That's interesting. Wow. I think of a different thing then.

Yeah. I, I also agree with you. That, that would probably be the knee-jerk reaction.

Yeah.

It's like, oh shit, we gotta fight these aliens. But yeah, they would also just obliterate us if they have the technology to get here. So anyway, interesting thought pattern. Um, I, I wanted, I, I wanted to ask you more about Antarctica because that, that I, that's something that there's all these conspiracy theories about. What? Like the ice wall and like, The ice?

What is that? I've never heard of that. What?

You never heard about the ice wall?

No.

What is that? You gotta look it up.

It's, um, the end of the world or something.

Yeah. Like, like beyond the ice wall in Antarctica, there's supposedly like a lot of Antarctica you're not allowed to visit, right? Like the, like cert— a bunch of countries don't let you go to certain parts of Antarctica.

'Cause it's hard.

'Cause it's hard to get there. Yeah. I don't know. I've seen a lot of conspiracy theories.

That's so interesting. No, I have never heard of that. It's, and I guarantee you. There is no ice wall in Antarctica. There is just ice and more ice and more ice.

Where did you stay when you went there?

On a cruise. Oh, there's no hotels.

Wait, I know someone else that went on a cruise. Yeah.

Yeah. It's the best way to stay there.

Is it, was that, um, is that a cruise you could just buy tickets to?

Yeah.

Is that like a, yeah.

I mean, there's two types of trips. You can do like a tourist trip and you could do a research trip. I did a tourist trip. Okay. And so it's like $11,000, $15,000 for like 11 days. Something like that. It's not, but that was an expensive cruise. You can get one for like $5K, $4K. And then you just go and then, you know, you get off the boat at all. Yeah. You get off the boat, you get on the continent.

It's freezing.

It's freezing. There's a lot of rules. There's a lot of rules. You cannot fly drones. You cannot kneel.

Why can't you fly drones? Because they don't want you to fly drones.

Because ice wall.

You can't kneel.

You can't kneel down on the ground. Yeah. Because if you don't wanna bring germs from outside the world into Antarctica, you have to wash your feet every time you get into the boat and out of the boat, like extensively to make sure that there's no germ contamination because the local population there of animals are not exposed to a lot of the germs we have here on these continents. So you don't wanna be a carrier of germs from Asia to Antarctica. And if you, there was a germ introduced and it killed a lot of the birds there.

Really?

Mm-hmm. Yeah. And you don't wanna take any bacteria from Antarctica back to the continent because there's not a lot of cross-migration. Right. And so it's fascinating. And also it's, you know, Antarctica is the driest place in the world. No one knows about this. It's a desert. No one knows this. It's a desert. It's not ice. It's a desert that's iced.

Wow.

It is the highest continent in the world. It's not, it looks flat.

Yeah.

And the Nepal looks high. No, it is on average the highest and the most elevated continent. It's all mountains.

Wow.

Um, so there's a lot of, uh, yeah, there's just a lot of interesting stuff.

That sounds really cool. You gotta look up the conspiracy theories after this though, and then go back to your notes and be like, wait a minute, maybe they don't want us kneeling cuz they don't want the contaminants to go into the inner earth portal.

I'll take that up.

So pivoting, um, social media today versus social media when you started versus into the future. Like what, what is, obviously you, you unlocked social media very well. You did very well for yourself. You're continuing to do very well for yourself. Um, what, what's the difference between now and when you started and like where are things going?

That's interesting. When I started, it was not like now. When I started, everybody was making 10-minute-long videos on YouTube and that was Logan Paul. But my bet was that 1-minute videos are gonna be really, really big. So that's when I made the 1-minute videos. And basically you wanna be right 3 years before you're right.

Yeah.

You know what I mean?

Right. So you get ahead of the trend.

You get ahead of the trend and you can be really good at the right time, at the right place with the right format. So now is the time for 1-minute videos. Videos, right? And it's start— and so, so, so that's where we are now. Now is where I started 9 years ago, which is very short content, vertically filmed with your phone. Bam, done. You know? Where are we going 10 years from now? That is a very good question. I think, I think 50% of social media is gonna be AI generated.

Okay.

Another 50% will be humans.

Yeah.

And so the opportunity now is to be really, really, really good at using AI to create content, to get distribution, to run ads, to do all that stuff.

Unique AI content.

Unique AI content. And you know, people say, oh, it's AI slob. If everybody could do it, then what's the point of it? Well, guess what? Everybody can make a video by turning on their camera and taking a phone video. Right. But 99% of phone videos are crap.

Right.

It's the 1% of, Efforts and storytelling of phone videos that really build careers, generational careers.

Right.

So you can do this. So then if the phone of the future is the AI prompt, right? Content prompt. So I highly recommend people like do AI videos. I actually did 100 AI videos in 100 days that were 100% AI. Wow. Yeah. It's kind of like Nas Daily.

How did you guys do that?

With Video3, Google Video3.

Really? What does that cost you to make?

It's $500 in AI credits for every video.

For every video.

And it was 1 minute long. It took 2 days to do it. It was very hard.

Took 2 days to make 1 video.

It was very hard, yeah. I did 100 days in a row and this was like, I finished like, like 2 months ago. It got 400 million views.

Wow.

400, 4 million average views per video. Some videos got 20 million views, some videos tanked, but I was able to recreate things that were impossible before. I was able to recreate history, recreate prophets. I could have dinner with Jesus.

Yeah.

Wow. You, your creativity is unlimited. Unbelievable.

Yeah. Unlimited.

Yeah. If you are not excited by the future, I don't know what else to say.

Yeah. I mean, theoretically, there should be more than 50% of social media would be AI because AI is going to get faster and stronger and people could pump out 5,000 videos a day.

Absolutely. Versus like 10 to 30% of the video we're going to make will have some AI.

Yeah.

Yeah. And we're going to recreate your maybe childhood. How you were, right?

Wow.

Growing up. I'm gonna recreate that with the app.

So you still use Google V—

Vio3 is the one we use, but now there's Sora.

Yeah. And there's a few others, but how would someone learn how to get really good at that?

We started this thing called AI School. Ah, AI School for Entrepreneurs.

Shout out.

It's a dollar a day, baby. Yeah, that's it. Um, yeah, so I mean, you can self, self-learn or like take a few classes. This thing moves so fast that all our classes are live.

There's no courses. Do you think it's like someone like myself should be learning that?

Yes.

Really?

You know, the internet made you generationally rich.

Yeah.

Before the internet, right? I mean, I don't know what you would do, right?

Yeah.

You'd probably have a job.

Phone parties.

Phone party, but you'll not make the same.

Yeah, no, I know.

Yeah. So that internet revolution made you so much money. The next revolution is AI revolution.

Yeah.

Right? There's unlimited potential. And I think this one is going to be 10x bigger.

Really?

A world where we have access to intelligence at the speed of light for less than a cent.

Yeah.

I mean, there's a million things we can do, right? So here's something that my girlfriend is doing. She's rebuilding dating apps. She's rebuilt a whole new dating app that uses AI. Which is there's no swiping on pictures. Now for the first time ever, you can have my AI date your AI and decide if we're a good match or not.

Well, hold on a second. I, I literally, uh, finish telling me because I had built something very similar that I didn't tell you about yet.

Well, you can't build it if it wasn't before AI.

I know.

Yeah.

It's very recent.

Recent.

Tell me about it.

Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah. So my AI dates your AI and if there's a match, we open up a chat.

Hold on a second.

Are you building this?

Too weird. So it's a little bit different. I'm gonna share it. It's, we pretty much built, um, I wouldn't even talk about it. Um, what our app is, is essentially, um, you get paired with people based on your interests and then you have conversations.

And AI does the pairing. That's the most important thing.

Well, initially the pairing is based on, 'cause it has limited data on who you are. You just tell it your interests. Yeah. And then as you're having conversations with people, the data is populating a digital twin of you. So like based on your tonality, based on, you know, your interests. And as you have more and more conversations, your digital twin gets populated until it's ready to go out into the world. And then your digital twin, right? Imagine how many people you get to meet in real life that you know for more than 2 years. It's a hand, it's less than 50. But imagine your digital twin, they'll meet 1,000 people a day for the equivalent of 2 years.

How much, how much is that freaking idea?

Relationships.

So you're doing it for like Friend relationships, all different types of relationships. Okay. We're going to romantic relationships.

Yeah. We've discussed doing it just for dating because it would work really well.

And why, why did you stay?

It's one of those projects where like for me it was just, um, I had this amazing idea. I hired on some people to build it. Um, you know, it's not like, uh, that's crazy. Every day grind thing. It's more like, yeah, but, but we've been doing it for like probably we started it before AI and it was just talking to people and then meeting new people. And then the AI part of it came into it maybe a year ago. Okay. And we actually have patents on some of this technology. Like, uh, we can talk more about that.

That's amazing.

Yeah. It's interesting that we thought of it.

So, but this, this company would be impossible to build without the AI intelligence.

Yeah.

So I just think there's 100 of these companies.

Yeah. Yeah.

That can be built.

And, and the cool thing is like, if you get hands-on and know how to do things, it unlocks your mind to think of possibilities. It's like me going and playing with these tools.

Yeah.

You learn something that then allows you when you're out in the real world to see an opportunity that you wouldn't have seen if you didn't know how to use this stuff yourself.

Yeah, absolutely.

You're not gonna go think of the next big AI idea if you don't know anything about actually using it.

Absolutely.

Just reading things.

Yeah.

So I think, yeah.

So I mean, Zue 3, Thora, Gemini 3, Higgsfield, like all these tools.

That's so cool and so interesting. I gotta go watch your AI videos?

I didn't have videos. It's all live classes. Oh, the AI videos.

The videos you made.

It's like if you literally just scroll down.

Is it just on your page?

Not Taylor?

Yeah.

Just, yeah. Or you go to Instagram, scroll down by like a little bit. I just finished him like there, right? Everything here is AI.

Wow.

100% of them. All of them. Okay.

Do they perform better than your other videos? Yeah.

Way better. This is, look, this is me and another person. See that?

Oh my gosh.

So you can like, you can recreate anything, anything. This is me with AI. It's just—

Do you make yourself more or less handsome in the AI videos?

Way more handsome.

Like I'd be like—

Yeah, like perfect hair. Like it's amazing. AI content creators are gonna take my job away.

Are you gonna keep making more AI content?

Yeah, I'm gonna, but my focus now is Nassayo.

Yeah.

My number one focus is AI entrepreneurship.

Yeah.

And this is something we're both really excited by.

Yeah.

I think AI is gonna create more creators, but it's gonna create 100x more entrepreneurs.

Yeah.

What, what's the, what's the, what's the number one reason people fail at Zendrop or your customers? Marketing.

Yeah.

They don't know how to make videos.

Right.

They don't know how to make content. They don't know how to market, how to run ads. AI can now do it.

Right.

So we're building the market, AI marketing engine for people to be able to chat with content and be able to run content as ads, as social media, as organic, as whatever, and acquire customers.

Right.

Then your store will be more successful if you can make better marketing content.

How many entrepreneurs do you think there are room for in society? 'Cause typically an industry blows up and then one big player takes the market share.

Okay, so I'll tell you this. So, so, so when YouTube was around, there was like, let's say a million YouTubers.

Yeah.

Then TikTok came about and said, hey, why do you have this like complicated DSLR crap? Why don't you just like do your phone and dance with your phone and you're a creator? It created 10 million new creators, right? It 10x the market.

Yeah.

Because TikTok was easier.

But there's also more people consuming the content.

But it's the same pop— the population size was what, 6 billion? Now it's 7 billion or 7, 8.

Yeah.

It has not changed materially. More people started to consume TikTok.

Right.

Yes. I start to consume more. The TAM increased from the supply and the demand side only because the creation of content became easier.

Yeah.

If you look at Shopify, Shopify has 5 million customers.

Yeah.

You're telling me out of 7 billion people, the biggest entrepreneurship company in the world has 5 million customers.

Yeah.

That sounds oddly low.

Yeah.

The number of entrepreneurs in the world should be at least 50%.

Yeah, but the reason why it's low is because companies like Amazon come in and make it so that most people become irrelevant. If I go make a toilet paper company, people are just gonna go on Amazon and buy it, right? So it's like, uh, I'm not saying you're wrong here, I'm just thinking through the exercise of how many—

but you could also be an Amazon entrepreneur, right? Right. You could be a, uh, you could be an Amazon entrepreneur.

Why, why—

I don't know if Amazon takes away your job. I mean, Amazon created jobs. Created entrepreneurs.

Yeah, but I think Amazon will eventually start doing more and more of the stuff and eliminating more and more of the people.

Okay, maybe that's true in the physical space.

Yeah.

But I also doubt that's gonna be true in the physical space because I doubt marketplaces will exist. So I think marketplaces are gonna die in the age of AI. And the reason I say that is because me going on a website and scrolling to see products and to buy one of them, That's done.

It's done.

I'm just gonna ask my AI agent to look at every single product on the internet on my behalf.

Yeah.

From every single store on Shopify and Amazon and give me the cheapest, most customized for me, the best toilet paper for me.

Yeah.

Which means there is a world for 100 more toilet paper companies that are either more competitive with pricing or just a little bit more customized that fits me.

Right.

And the number one reason why they could not start is 'cause they could not market.

Right.

But now they could market if the AI agent discovers them.

Yeah. It's so interesting to think about. The world is changing so much and so fast. It's so hard to know what's gonna happen. It's so hard to know where we're gonna be. Yeah.

But we gotta be in the game.

Yeah. In the game to know.

We're gonna be in the game. Yeah. So, so, so that's why I'm really bullish in Shopify. Yeah. And, and actually bearish in Amazon. I'm bullish in Shopify because every Shopify store will be discoverable through ChatGPT and Gemini.

Right.

You don't need to go to Amazon anymore. So just say, give me a toilet paper and you'll see 10 Shopify store options and then maybe you'll see one Amazon option. And so you'll buy from Shopify more. And also like with NASIO, any business built on NASIO, we're gonna make it discoverable to these AI agents. So you actually, you're discoverable. So if you're looking for, let's say a challenge on 75 Hard, we'll say we have 10 75 Hard challenges. It shows up in the AI.

Yeah.

So discoverability is changing.

Yeah.

And, uh, I, I couldn't be more excited.

So interesting. Well, I think this is a good time to wrap up the conversation 'cause I have so much to think about afterwards. Um, I appreciate the time so much, my friend.

Thank you so much.

It was incredible.

I appreciate you having me and thank you everybody for listening. This was really fun.

All right.
