The world's 8 billion people stay motivated by trying to improve their own lives. Under capitalism, the only way to do that is to serve someone else's needs. When everyone does this, it fuels the economy, drives innovation, and keeps things moving.
Chapters
As soon as 8 billion people wake up every morning, their dominant thought is, how do I improve my situation? Whatever situation they find themselves in, whether they're rich or poor or healthy, or whether they are in a great relationship or a bad one. And since, thankfully, most of the world now lives under capitalism, not Marxism, communism or socialism, pretty much everybody who at least has some degree of maturity realizes that the only way to improve my situation is to serve the needs of other humans. And by 8 billion people getting up every day thinking, how do I improve my situation? They're going to try and fulfill somebody else's needs. And by doing that, they're going to keep this economy going, they're going to keep innovation happening, they're going to force human progress.
