How to Get Clear When You’re Overwhelmed — Returning to What’s True (Live)

Jason Tempinski walks through a five-step "Inner Council" method to quiet mental noise and hear your clearer instincts. The process treats your anxious thoughts as a protective part trying to help, then asks what it's actually afraid of and gives it a better job to do.

All right, can you hear me now? Not yet? I don't know. Okay, awesome. Well, now that you can hear me, um, thanks for coming. Thanks for being here. I've, I've, um, it's been a while since I've been on live and, uh, talking. So, um, I am excited to do this. I have gotten away from a little bit from, um, the free reading circuit, so I just want to really kind of bring more, um, I guess, meaningful content and kind of, uh, bridging the spiritual and the practical a little bit more for people so that, um I guess my strength is speaking both languages. I just actually uploaded or rebranded my website, so that's really awesome. I'm excited. It's beautiful. It's everything that I've wanted. It took me a while, but if you haven't been there, I encourage you to take a look. It's pretty awesome. So pat myself on the back. So today, I just kind of— this is going to be a little bit interactive, I guess would be the best way to put it. I used to be a teacher, so I'm starting to tap in more to, um, kind of my guidance and teacher side in terms of kind of strategies and, um, mixture of things I've learned as a QHHT practitioner and speaking with higher selves and things like that. And I guess the biggest inspiration for what we're talking about today is just something that I deal with on a daily basis. I was even honestly dealing with it and how to do this today. So, um, if anything, this is kind of a practice that I put in place in terms of how to kind of quiet the noise, that chatter that goes on all the time in our heads at all times. So I kind of walk you through something today as kind of a new way to do a YouTube video and as a group. So just bring something a little bit different in terms of how to kind of quiet all the noise. I know there's a lot going on in the world right now, so that makes it especially difficult. And so this is something that I think is a useful tool. It helps me gain clarity. So really, today's about how to tell the difference between noise and then what I'm calling the clean signal. So it's really trying to find the balance between, I guess, not fighting with ourselves all the time in terms of how we approach situations and major decisions and everything that's going on. I'm calling that kind of the noise, or you could also call it the ego. So that's the part that I'm actually speaking about now. Um, it's that part of ourselves that it's, it's, um, kind of what makes us overthink all the time, gets in our own way, makes us think, think that we're not good enough or we can't do something or something's too out of reach for us. And second-guessing ourselves, second-guessing our decisions. I should have done this, I should have done that. So I really want to make this kind of a practical thing to kind of put forward. I think it's really helpful. It's kind of like a 5-minute process that I have come up with, and it's really helpful to me. So as we do this, you don't have to do anything personal or share any personal in chat. If you do, that's great. We can, you know, kind of make this a sharing experience. And So this is what we're going to do. So we're going to go through these 5 steps, um, and tackle something that you're dealing with right now. Um, I'm going to guide you through the experience, and then, um, we'll kind of talk about what happened and how you can use this moving forward. Um, I think it's important just because I think that there's a lot of shows and presenters out there that tell you a lot of stuff but actually don't really show you how to put this into practice in a way that's helpful and meaningful and you can do right now and you can move moving forward. Um, so kind of the practical way of approaching this, like I said, this is about dealing with the noise that we deal with all the time. Um, I'm kind of— I kind of call it the loop where we get stuck in these patterns and these ways of putting limitations on ourselves and ways that we don't really, um, listen to our intuition, which, um, you know, can also be the higher self, you know, that higher aspect of ourselves that knows everything about us and what we do and our lifetimes. And, uh, it's that part that we were really always kind of aching to get to, but we don't quite get there. So, um, this is at least one stepping stone to avoiding those, those, you know, the rat in the— or the mouse in the wheel or whatever, where it's, you know, that's going to be a big catastrophe if we do this, or I prefer to be more comfortable. Or sometimes some of us get stuck in these loops of continually asking questions just because we're delaying that the result of actually making a choice and moving forward, which I know a lot of us are guilty of, myself included. So, um, it's important to note that, um, signals or your higher self, the messaging is usually simpler than we expect. And it's just that small push or that small intuition that gets, gets, you know, implanted in our minds. But then we— our ego jumps in and tries to take control and tell us that you're making it up, or it's not going to be okay, all this is going to happen. Um, and I almost like— we tend to make things more complicated than we need to, and it really boils down to that usually the simplest answer is the best way to go, and the simplest way, and we're always supported. So the thing that I, I do like to point out though is, um, when it comes to the ego, I, I know a lot of you who are here today, um, have heard me talk about this. If not, um, I've actually— I, I'm a QHHT practitioner. So if you don't know that, that's a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Practitioner, and it's past life regression. It also gets you in touch with your higher self and access unlimited healing. And a big part of the way that all of us access hypnotic states is having to do with quieting the ego. And it's the ego, not in the psychological sense or professional therapist. The ego is this aspect that is actually self-aware. And that's something a lot of people don't know. And I actually didn't know until I did hypnosis, where I was doing hypnosis and someone was trying to really struggle with, uh, the hypnosis itself, getting in her own way, thinking she's making it up. And, and I asked her ego, I was like, you know, can you step aside for a little bit? And unexpectedly, the ego said to me, um, don't— or, thank you for acknowledging us. And it was really surprising to me because I didn't know that they were a we, first of all. Um, and it took me off guard. And I said, who exactly am I speaking with? And the ego said, well, this, this is her ego. And, um, you know, we get a bad rap a lot of times. And ultimately I asked, what's your purpose? Why, why do you do that, or do this to us all? Why do you make us, um, you know, think the worst is going to happen? And they said that ultimately it's about, um, us overcoming them, in a sense. Uh, their purpose, their mission is to make us question, to second-guess ourselves, to get in our own way. Um, they said they really love it when they are succeeding doing that, but ultimately it's a process that we need to go through in order to learn to kind of quiet the noise, which is the ego. The important aspect of this is that we have to be respectful of it. And so there's a lot of talk that we need to beat down the ego, you know, tell it, you know, it needs to get out of our way, that it's like not making us reach our full potential. Um, but I— the important thing is the ego is not the enemy. And so that is something that's really stuck with me in terms of one, recognizing that when we get stuck in that pattern of questioning and thinking that we're not good enough and thinking that we can't achieve what we want to achieve, um, that's not us. And for me, that's been powerful. And then when I get stuck in the, you know, mouse in the wheel, um, being able to step back and say, hey, you know, I, I No, that's not me. Can you guys take some time off? So they even said in that session that it was really important to treat them with respect, ultimately. And I guess the warning was more or less, if you try to push us underwater, we're gonna come back thrashing for air and you're not gonna like it. So I don't know exactly what that means. But, um, the important thing is that it's not the enemy. It is— I mean, I guess the best way to put it is, you know, we're driving in a car. The ego's in there with us. The ego likes to take the wheel a lot. Our higher self is usually in the back seat because we really, you know, kind of distrust it because of the ego. Um, but the, the secret is that we all really are always driving the car. So, um, In my experience, the ego is our protector. It thinks it knows what's best for us. It also can, you know, if we've experienced trauma or experienced bad ends or things we didn't expect based on particular decisions, we kind of attack ourselves. And it is some factor ego that's doing that, saying you should have known better, you should have, you know, made a better decision. So while it feels like the enemy a lot of times It's also there, it does want to protect us from being hurt, essentially. Um, so this method, if you want to follow along, you're more than welcome to. Um, I'm calling it kind of the inner council. So it's inner council method where there's the protector, that's your ego that thinks it knows everything about you and what's good for you. There's you, who's essentially the driver of your life at all times, even though it sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Then the higher self. Um, we usually keep the higher self in the back seat. It's always there. It doesn't complain that it's there, but it wishes that we, we would listen to it a little bit more. Um, our goal in this process isn't to completely eradicate the ego or the protector. It's actually to give it a new job. And this is something that I think it's pretty powerful to think about, like, if you're going to be telling me what to do, at least do something that's going to be helpful to me. And so this kind of invites this process. The Inner Circle process is about, uh, inviting kind of a conversation between you, your protector, the ego, and also your higher self. Um, so, um, we often think that the best way to move forward is by thinking harder or making things more complicated, or we just kind of give up and say, I should be more, um, you know, I'm not aligned with myself, or, um, I'm making, you know, I'm not connected with my spiritual self, so I really don't know what to do. And it just creates more noise for us. Our ego just loves that and creates a field day for us. So what we're going to do now is kind of a 5-minute process. That I've actually used with other clients to kind of help us to quiet the noise, um, and also listen to the higher self signal, if you want to call it that. Um, so if you want to, you can either, you know, just write this down if you have a pen, or you can— or you can write it out in chat. So the first thing is, um, writing down one sentence in your mind that's been repeating over and over. We're going to call this the headline. And it's not— you don't have to write down the whole story of what's kind of been on your mind a lot, just from writing down the general sense. So, you know, whatever that might be. And including, if you're like, I don't know what to write, for example, um, try thinking about the right— write down the first thing that you don't want to admit. That you're thinking about. And so whatever that might be, it could be decisions about your everyday life, decisions about career, decisions about money, or even just general, I don't know, daily life. So just, um, if you want to share in chat, you can do that, or just write it to yourself, or just think it. So now, um, hopefully you have one idea. So the next part is that we're just going to get to the part that most of us just skip. And if you're writing, I encourage you to write this down, say it out loud if you're just doing this mentally, but thank your ego that you're— that they're trying to keep me safe. So, um, you can phrase it however you like. Protector, thank you for trying to keep me safe in this situation. Just giving gratitude for ego for all it does, because it does have good intentions even though it doesn't feel like it. But there is a particular power in giving it gratitude and appreciation for what they do, because it is their job essentially, I guess. And then after saying gratitude to your ego, the next part would be, um, I know that you're trying to protect me from blank, whatever that might be. Um, a lot of this is usually fear-based. Um, so, you know, we hear the noise, we know what it's telling us. It could be you're not good enough. You know, you're stupid, uh, you're not talented, all of that, there's an underlying thing there that is actually, uh, a way of protection. So what are they protecting you from? What is your ego protecting you from about this current situation? Are they protecting you from failure or your fear of failure? Are they protecting you from others? So it's really, um Um, Lisa says, I blame myself for not being able to resolve my family estrangement. Um, so what— how would you phrase that in terms of, um, what do you need to release in terms of that? Um, if Lisa doesn't mind being an example, so blaming yourself, you know, why, why do you feel the need? How is your ego playing a role in that? Is it making you believe that you did something wrong, or it's your responsibility to resolve this estrangement? Um, and I, I can tell you just from generally speaking, higher selves usually say if it, if it actually— you do not want to reconnect with your family, if deep down you know that it's not healthy, um, for you to be around them, um, this could be another thing to, to explore with the ego. So it this step is more complicated than it might feel like on the surface because we tend to, for example, blame ourselves for things. Um, uh, one side of the coin is pride and puffery. Okay, right. So this is— it's, it seems simple, but it's a little bit more difficult. Um, just trying to figure out, and it flips it on its head, what is my ego trying to protect me from when it's telling me I'm stupid? Or I can't do something, or I'm not worthy. And it's, it's ultimately something of maybe we had a bad experience about making a particular decision, or maybe we have a fear of speaking in public or on YouTube, and, um, we get in our own way, and maybe it's protecting us from just feeling not successful. So that's a— it's a really powerful step. And like I said, a lot of us just kind of jump to conclusions like, okay, I'm going to listen to it, or I'm going to try and push it away. So it's really good in TEA to kind of establish that. Um, so after that, what are you protecting me from? The next question is, what does my ego want from me? What's the end story of this? You know, it might be saying negative things to, to me, but what, what does it really want from me? Is it trying to keep me safe? Is it trying to protect me from feeling you know, loss and hurt and pain. So it really kind of gets even deeper beyond protection, but the motivation in terms of making it positive. Um, it could be things like safety, it could be approval, certainty, finding love. I mean, there's a lot of things that could be at play. And it doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, it's just the fact that you're kind of engaging in this type of work. Okay, all right, so next step, step 3. Um, so now that your ego is happy that you've communicated and said, you know, thank you for helping me, I know you're trying to protect me, this is your motivation, we kind of move to acknowledging the quieter voice. The quieter voice, the signal, the higher self. It's turning to the higher self and saying, what, what's the real truth underneath this issue that I'm having with my ego? Um, so higher self, what's truth underneath this? Um, it doesn't have to be a paragraph, 3-7 words. It's often simple. Um, and the simplest answer, like, you know, you're— this is a lesson about learning to love yourself, or this is a lesson to learning to set boundaries. Or, um, the higher self never has complex answers. I can tell you, sometimes it's annoying, especially in the work that I do, where we think we have this grandiose problem that no one's going to understand, and then our higher self said, you know, she just doesn't love herself enough. And that's what she needs to do before all this will fall into place. So there's always a really simple answer according to our higher selves that is maybe sometimes annoying but also, um, powerful. Um, so the next role is— or the next step after, you know, asking your higher self, um So now we keep the protector, that, that part of you. We give it a job. So we say, instead of, you know, after all the thanks— thank you for protecting me, I know this is what, you know, you're trying to do for me— um, but this is your new job while I move forward and I listen to my higher self. So it's like, you can remind me to slow down and look at the facts, or 'You can handle logistics, and I'm going to look for the meaning in what I'm doing and if it sits well with me.' So it sounds kind of strange to give your ego a job, but if you do that, they listen, and it's pretty amazing in terms of quieting the noise, not getting in your own way. And actually, you know, they're really good at the logic and the reason, so giving them a job to work with that. So if you're working along with this, whatever you wrote in terms of something you're struggling with, not able to make a decision, um, you know, what, what is the job that you want your ego to play in this instead of tormenting you about this? And that's really important. So if you're writing it down, write it down. Say it out loud, saying, okay, now this is your job. Um, thank you for all you do. This is how you can best support me. Um, so the last thing, um, is making it an actionable step. So this is promising, making a promise to your ego and your higher self. This is what— this is how I'm going to move forward in the next 24 hours. It doesn't have to be a huge leap. It could be one email, it could be one, you know, making a phone call. It could be just saying out loud, okay, I'm really going to make a decision. I'm going to go for it. I'm going to trust. I'm going to be supported. I'm going to make this decision. I'm going to step into it. I don't know what it's going to look like. That's not my ego's job to figure out. Um, but I really feel like this is the path that I need to follow regardless of the outcome, regardless of what our egos are worried about. So that is kind of the process. Um, So if you've kind of worked along with this— and this is my first time doing this, so please bear with me, it's weird not having an interaction, um, uh, it's a really powerful way. So, um, to work with your ego, to work with yourself, to make things a little bit clearer, to turn off the noise. Um, so like you said, this is kind of the inner council meeting. This is the process that I've suggested for clients. It also has come through different sessions, so It's one, again, recognizing the noise. What's the big headline that your ego is tormenting you about? Two, just giving gratitude, saying thank you for all you do. You're trying to protect me. This is what you're trying to do. Three, um, turning to your higher self and saying, hey, what's this all about? What do I need to do? Four, assigning a new, you know, task to your ego and saying, hey, this is how you can best support me in this process. And then 5, this is the next step you're going to take in 24 hours. So, um, it seems simple, it turns out to be really powerful. And it, it's amazing how much we stress ourselves out. And at least that, you know, we make things so much more complicated And when you start doing this, there's like this huge massive weight that's lifted off in terms of, I can't believe I spent so much time worrying about something when the answer was so simple and pure. And, um, you know, anything is really possible. So, um, yes, the ego— can your ego be a cheerleader? I don't know. I, you know, the thing is, um, that's a good question, Seascape. Um, it's kind of a mix. It's like they, they have the goal to make us kind of crazy, um, because they, they, they love it, and that's what they've told me. Um, so making us trip up, but it is, you know, kind of a hard love in terms of they are trying to protect in a way. But the thing about them is they don't know they don't have information about our life path. They don't have, you know, information about our purpose, what we're here to learn. So they do get in the way of us trying to, you know, move forward, even though deep down we know it's the right path, or we feel it, and our higher self is our cheerleader in the background, like, you can do this. And our ego's like, no, she can't. Um, it's, it's kind of inviting this conversation for— to work together instead of us letting the ego drive, you know, drive our life all the time. I mean, we, we should be the driver, and it's— that's the challenge that the ego kind of presents. It's like it knows we need to take the steering wheel, but it's going to make it really hard for us to get to do it. Um, so yeah, I— if anything, our spirit guides and our higher selves are cheerleaders. Than anybody. So if you have any questions, this is actually, I didn't, just a quick pop on. I know that there's a lot going on in the world right now. And so that's why I kind of wanted to put this out there. It just kind of helps, you know, this time that we're all in with politics and violence and brutality. It's heartbreaking and unfortunate. And I just, you know, the thing that keeps me a little bit sane in all of this is the fact that I've gotten so much messaging that everything needed to crumble before it can be rebuilt. And this has been necessary for our own development. And moving forward and, um, you know, rebuilding and everything else. And so I have been assured time and time again that the light has won and we all, you know, things are going to get better. And so I think that having just simple things like this that I showed you today kind of helps quiet some of that noise and keeps us grounded and keeps us safe. So The last thing I'll say is I am offering some clarity sessions this week. So if you are interested to meet with me and we can dive into specifics, if anything, you know, hit you today, I'd love to meet with you. So that information is below in the chat. The good news that I've kind of posted on YouTube, and I guess I'll share this here because it's pretty awesome is that, um, I'm doing— I developed my own method for past life regression online. So I was doing a hypnosis. One of my services for anyone who's watching is that I do kind of group hypnosis sessions developed by Dolores Cannon. I started doing those individually, and I had a guy's higher self come through one of those sessions, which I've never had happen before. And It took me by surprise, uh, and I said I didn't know that this was possible. Um, we went into that hypnosis just thinking we were going to work on his insomnia, and then, um, I asked, you know, why are you coming through? And they said, you, you know, this needs to be made more accessible to everyone. And, um, kind of my background and everything, I've— I mean, they said I'm in a place to have a method. So, um, It's informed by QHHT, but it's not because it is online. Um, but it is— I've met with clients already. It's powerful. It's incredible. I love being able to do this in an online format. So, um, I still offer QHHT in person, but this new method I came up with is, um, Expanded Consciousness Hypnosis, ECH. Um, so it involves regression, involves talking to your higher self, involves opportunities for healing. So if you've seen me in the past about talking about QHHT and I was pretty strict on no online stuff, this is a great alternative. So if you're interested and you want to deep dive and find out more about your ego and your higher self and your path and purpose, I'd really encourage you to come meet with me. Me. So all that information is in the link below. My website's jasonqhht.com. Um, it's brand new. I love it. It's beautiful. Um, and as always, if you ever want to reach out through email, I'm available for whatever you're dealing with. My email is jason@jasonqhht.com. So thank you so much, everybody, for being here. This was short but sweet. I will be doing more of these, so if you haven't subscribed to my channel, I'm also starting a Substack, jasontempinski.substack.com. I'm going to keep— I know that that's kind of a more meaningful space than some other alternatives, so I encourage you to subscribe to me there once I get that going. So it was wonderful to see you all. Thank you for your support, and for all of you who've popped in that I haven't seen for a while, I really appreciate it. And, um, I'll see you soon. Bye.
