Two salespeople debate whether closing seven-figure deals requires travel or just watching what competitors do. One explains how they approach senior-level interviews: they show up at the end to talk culture and build rapport, not to veto hires.
I know. Do you think you can close a 7-figure deal without getting on a jet? Depends on if the competitor does.
I, I think that the, that the, when you're showing deference, like when it's, uh, doing something that a competitor will or won't, might be more complicated. All right.
Just 2 more and then we'll wrap it up. 'Cause this is so great. Um, one was just a super specific question on your interviewing process. When you interview, when you do interview directors and above now, or VPs and above, where do you drop in? At the end, in the middle? And do you veto today or do you just provide counsel? During those interviews?
I, so it's at the end. Yeah. And the purpose of it is, it's really not a, it's not a, like a, a veto thing. It's really a, I want to talk about the culture and I want to build a relationship with the person.
Yes.
So that I feel like I have more of that connection and that can be a more effective leader for those leaders. And that's the purpose of it.
