RuPaul's Drag Race is so close now. It's all going down June 12th and 13th in the heart of Paris. So here are the 5 things you need to know before you go. Number 1: Make sure you download the Sastre Events mobile app. It's available for both iPhone and Android devices. All you have to do is go to your app store, search for SASTR events, download the app, and just log in with the email you used to register for SASTR Europa.
The second thing you have to know: once you've downloaded the app, go to the agenda tab and reserve your seat in a session. You'll see a little icon that says "reserve my seat." Touch it and you're ready to go, your seat's reserved.
It's as easy as that. Next, what you should do is schedule a Brain Date. These are super cool one-on-one and small group mentor sessions where you can meet the new mentor of your dreams or teach somebody something new.
If you're looking If you're looking for something a little bit bigger, but not as big as a session, we do have Super Brain Dates this year. That means on Wednesday morning and throughout the day and Thursday morning, we'll have VCs for you to meet with and experts in fields talking about tactical topics in a one-on-ten setting.
Yeah, we'll be talking about customer success, demand gen, content marketing, analytics. We brought together the best subject matter experts and handpicked them just for you guys to learn from in these micro sessions. It's called Brit Dates.
The next thing you need to know before you go, what's some shorthand you can use if you're a little bit lost in translation?
Ooh, I'm gonna love this because I know very basic, basic French. I can only say apple, and I'm not gonna embarrass myself by saying it. How do I say something like meeting?
So the way you say meeting is réunion. If you want to make a meeting, just say, "I'd like to have a réunion with you," and they'll meet you there. Oh, I like that. What if during the meeting I need to ask them for their business card? The French word for business card is carte de visite. So remember those 3 words and you'll have a new connection.
Okay, that's amazing. And then what if the meeting is so good we want to all get drinks after? How do I invite them out for drinks?
So the shorthand for happy hour or drinks is apéro, and we're doing a happy hour in the expo hall both days.
We are, which is the 5th thing you should know before you go. Faster Europa is not just about the amazing content but also the people you can meet onsite during the show. So we'll have a happy hour both days. The one on Wednesday will have a jazz band, we'll have lots of food and drink, and the one on Thursday will have a rocking DJ to close out the entire event.
I also heard there's rumors there'll be a live silhouette-ist. There will be. Personally, I'm most looking forward to that. We'll see you there. See you soon.
