Founders often resist hiring pure recruiters who don't directly build product, but at this scale, one person can't oversee everything. The superpower is building a leadership team.

So at this stage, you are no longer hiring executives who are doing the work themselves. You are instead hiring executives whose job is to hire other leaders who then do the scaling work and building out the teams. And so this one, this one was hard for me to wrap my head around culturally, because I'm like, man, I want people who actually do work, who not, who don't just, you know, sit in their office all day and hire, you know, out of their Rolodex and build out this big team and actually not deliver any value themselves. But this is actually what you need at the late stage, because once you get to $100 million and beyond in ARR, there's so much complexity in the organization. And so one leader is not capable of leading all of those functions by themselves. Their superpower actually needs to be in hiring other leaders.
