Unlocking AI Adoption: Creating 'Aha Moments' in Your Team

Two speakers share how to get teams using AI by creating personal wins. One describes a workflow: scrape search results and your website, use AI to infer what users actually want, generate an FAQ. The other stresses that leaders must explicitly prioritize AI work and give people full days or weeks to experiment without guilt.
So you've got your early adopters, you don't need, you need to maybe hold them back, not to get them to go faster, but then you have the rest of the organization who perhaps doesn't see the need for this, the benefit, what's in it for me? How have you both thought about getting those other parts of your organization to embrace AI?
Yeah, I think people need to experience a little aha moment for themselves, right? And one that happened recently, we have this step that I like to call it the user intent step, So we go in for a certain keyword, we'll scrape the top 10 search results, but then we'll understand like your company, we'll scrape your entire website, understand what you do, understand your customers and everything else. And then we'll do a step which we'll do a little chain of thought and then we'll say, hey, tell me about what is the intent behind this user? Why do they care about this topic and how does it connect to my company and what are their top concerns and fears, right? And so when we demo that to people in the company, like they kind of had this aha moment where like, wow, this is actually really good. And then we use that step to generate an FAQ for one of their own pages or something that's their day-to-day job. And then they had just this aha moment. Oh wait, can I do this for this other job to be done over here? And, and then people start to have these aha moments where they're like, oh, okay, I get it now. I can apply it to my, like decompose my work, take a first principles approach and find what are the, all the jobs to be done? What are the things that You know, what are the steps to get the right work products to be high quality? And where can I apply this to that, right? And so I think you need to figure out ways to show the magic and get people excited and have a little bit of fun with it, but also give them room to actually spend the time. If they only have 30 minutes in between 10 meetings every day, they're not going to get anywhere, right? Like, so you got to make room for anyone in your company or make room for yourself to go block off a day a week or block Block off 2 days. Go take a vacation. I tell my team all the time, take 2 weeks off. You're on vacation from the team, but you're actually catching up and learning and doing whatever you want. You know? And like things like that I think help kind of remove the inertia maybe. You know?
I love that. Take the 2 weeks off and take the time to learn. And, well, one of the things that I have thought was really important with our team is first creating the space to identify the projects. But as a leader communicating that this is a priority.
