Hi, I'm Jason S. Bradshaw and this is Talking Points Live with Jason. And today we're going to be talking about are you offering enough value so that it's easy to get your customers to say yes? As always, you can connect with me on socials at Jason S. Bradshaw or my website, Jason S. Bradshaw.com now, let's get into this conversation of delivering value. I'm going to use a little bit of an unusual case study here today, but there's a website called fly lady. That's flylady.com and on that site you can buy cleaning products for your house. Oh, anything you want to clean, I guess. And she has a pile of content that she puts out on her website. All of the content features her products, not surprising there, but she gives you hints and tips and ideas on how to clean the most stubborn stains to make the silver sparkle the best. You get it right, you think Martha Stewart, but purely focused on cleaning. Now, like all good e commerce sites out there, e commerce websites out there, you can sign up for a newsletter from Flylady.com so far, nothing remarkable here. Lots of companies put out content, lots of companies have email lists. But here's the difference. The number of emails that she sends you in a single day is insane. Like I'm talking whatever you think too many emails are and double it, like insane. Now, every day is a little bit different, but I remember in the first time, the first time I signed up, I had three or four emails from her within the first six hours. And in every single email there's an offer, buy this product, buy that product, 20% off site wide. All the standard sort of offers, but there's always a link to a piece of valuable content. And because every email or the vast majority of the emails have content that is of value to someone that's taken the step to sign up to a cleaning website email list. It's hard to unsubscribe. You know, you might miss out on that next great tip for cleaning, something for achieving success, as I would say from a customer point of view. But this is the remarkable bit. She actually gives you an option to receive less emails from her. So if you just sign up and do nothing, you'll get two to three emails a day, easily. Some days more, sometimes less. But call it two to three emails a day. But you then have the option to subscribe. So you pay a small monthly fee. You still get access to all her content, but instead you only get one email a day. She literally is doing six figures. So over $100,000 a year in people paying to get less emails. And it just goes to show you how the value, how much you can generate for your business through delivering value. Now I'm not suggesting that you go out there and start spamming or flooding a customer's inboxes. Not, not everyone can do what Flylady.com does, but everyone can deliver value that the customer appreciates. So my challenge to you today is what problems can you solve for your customer? What problems can you give your customers an insight into for free as a value add just for being part of your community? See, the One thing that Flylady.com knows is that by creating and delivering value, that value in the eyes of the customer, she's able to create an audience of people that are going to stay subscribed and that the more they receive from her, the more likely they are to purchase something. Now her entire business turns over millions of dollars a year and not surprising, she's not about to disclose to me or others how much she makes from a profit point of view. But isn't it worth exploring how you could deliver value to a customer pre or post purchase even to keep them in your community, to keep them connected with you, to keep creating a relationship with them so when you do want to sell to them or when they're ready to buy, they think of you first. How can you stand out by delivering value, by being the trusted source of information in your industry, in your market, that makes you the easy one to say yes to. So this program is brought to you by the Business Breakthrough Coaching program. As I've mentioned before, I'm only taking a limited number of new customers on board. I certainly encourage you to go to business breakthrough coaching.net and check out the program. You can apply for free and that will take you to the next step, which is where we get to see if we're a right fit to each other and that I can deliver the value that you need to achieve in your Business Breakthrough success. But in the meantime, every day I go live here across all of my socials. And of course every fortnight there is the Talking Points with Jason newsletter. You can subscribe at Jason sbradshaw.com or on LinkedIn and I look forward to continuing to provide you with insights on how you can break through and achieve business success today. Have a great rest of your week and may it be successful.
